I need Switch Pro widget but I can't find it on Market. I know it's paid, and went to app brain but can't buy/install it for some reason.
Also, what's the best widge/app for calendar and events?
you need to get marketenabler to be able to purchase apps if your not in the US / other market supported country.
Myself i use the default calendar widget, its good enuff.
I use Pure Calendar widget.
I use Smooth Calendar. It's free and simple.

The file you are downloading from their Google project site is actually a html file. Open this link with your browser http://uploaded.to/file/en3pg4 and download the file. Then install it on your device.
Or you can download it on your computer and install it via adb.
I really like "Android Agenda Widget". http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.roflharrison.agenda

Hi
I flashed SenseHero 2.2 ROM which is a pretty good Android 2.1 flash. Unfortunately, it comes without Google Maps and native HTC PDF viewer. Where can I get this apps from? I could not get any answer on SenseHero forums.
Thanks.
You can download Maps from the market.
Also running SenseHero

Thanks for the apk but I get "Application not installed" error even though I enabled unknown sources in application settings.
It's strange I can find Google Maps on Androlib site but it does not appear in Market search. Does Google restrict application based on client country?

Yes some countries do not get all apps. But there is something called Market Enabler,... Have a look for that.
And try these again for PDFViewer,... Put both in the same folder and then try to install again.
Let me know how it goes.

The new files give me the same error. I also tried to install Market enabler and its apk cannot be installed either. Seems like the project is outdated, the authors say they don't support the latest Market version.
I followed these instruction: http://strazzere.com/blog/?tag=pdfviewerapk which say additional libraries should be installed. After I put the libraries in the right place the application installed OK but it won't start. So I guess I will be needing the correct PDFViewer version (for Android 2.1). If anyone has it, please...
In froyo, I heard that the gmail app has new options based on different file type attachments. for example, if its an apk attached to the email then theres the option to install. is this true?
Yes. It was a surprise to me! I love it.

Even better - they added text selection, copying and changing a forwarded / replied email.
how come when I send myself an email with an apk attached, the only option I get is 'preview'
anyone know whats wrong?
does the file name end in .apk and isn't zipped?
Yeah it was a great feature they added. Pretty surprised.

I removed the gmail apk because it didn't make sense having email & gmail, so I synced my gmail in the email app so I can manage all my accounts at once. After reading your thread I pushed it back and sent myself a apk file, and it displayed a install button, when I viewed the same message in the email app, it only gave the option to view, and it would'nt view the file. But you can install apk files from your gmail app. That's why I read the forums, always learning something new about my wonderful phone. Thanks

I have updated to the latest gapps, I flashed the one cyan posted on the official cm6-rc1 thread and Im assuming the gapps link in the nightly thread and the official cm6 thread are the same. I know gmail is updated because when I send a picture attachment to myself, there is a "download" and "preview button. It just seems like it wont play nice with apk attachments.
Also another question, when using the "download" in gmail for pictures, do your downloaded files get renamed to downloadfile.jpeg?
Yeah, and my attached APKs get saved as "downloadfile.apk".
Does anyone have this app (v1.5) on their phone & can pull the apk? It was a free app, but doesn't seem to be on the App Market anymore :/. I need it to make 'Kik Messenger' receive push notifications properly on my custom rom.

I couldn't find it in the market either. Thanks for this.
its keeps on getting pulled and added, to and from, the market, right now its gone and i really needed to change my id back after flashing. Thanks!
I find it in the market but it says it is not compatible with my phone.
I have Mosaic IX, Firmware 2.3.6. Should I avoid this app? If so, what should I use to change it?
Thanks needed that
U do know why Unique ID is needed, right?
I prefer not having Unique ID and hiding in a crowd of ppl.
Think I could use this to get my account back on Instagram?
I just installed Cm 7 alpha 3 and I am trying to install the latest Skype but it fails when I just run the . apk and when I go into cwm I do not have the install. Apk?
Anyone know how I can install this..?

you dont install apks in cwm, you do it in android.
go to settings-> applications, and check the unknown sources box
then go to the file manager built into android, navigate to the apk, and then click on it. you will be prompted to install the app.
hit install and it will be installed.
Cheers, I will try that tomorrow.

"File Manager" is not built in to the version Sony Ericsson uses. Glad to see it on the TouchPad though. Let me ask: Is there a "notepad" or "notes" app that is supposed to be built in? SE didn't include one of those either.
If you're looking for an amazing file explorer replacement ES File Explorer is AMAZING! It looks great, has gesture support and even skins/themes.

I've actually used it before and I do agree: It's good. I was just curious about the "built in" statement because, to my knowledge, there is no standard one "built in" to Android and it can be a problem.
CM7 has one built it but a pure AOSP build like the SDK doesn't IIRC.

Download one from Play Store. ES should get you started.
I use file manager hd, from rhythm software, available free in the play store. Use the version for tablets, it works great.

Well what Rom have you Flashed? The more information you provide the easier it is to provide an answer, as the gapps will vary depending on your Rom.
THIS IS FOR ANDROID 6.0+ ONLY!!!
This is mod I use on my LG V10.
Package was originally created as an add-on for Eliminater74's Rom.
I just ported it over as a flashable zip for my use but I figured I'd share.
Put zip on your external sd card and flash from twrp.
You will get a few "BlackBerry services not working " in the beginning but they will soon go away after some usage. These apps were on the BlackBerry Priv and are pretty useful especially the Hub. If there are some apps you don't like, just uninstall or freeze with titanium backup.
There is a launcher, contacts, calendar, bbhub, password keeper..... just a bunch of stuff.
Enjoy

Do you use titanium backup? If so, under preferences you can use market doctor to attach app links to play store and that should help. But, j700h is outside the U.S.? That might be the issue but I can't say for sure. Try market doctor and let me know please.
Thanks.

Yes, installed the Blackberry Manager by Colbalt and it lets you install all the apps.
I prefer however downloading the folders from Colbalt (just check one of the previous posts on the thread) and install the apps I like (blackberry hub, calendar and keyboard) -the rest are just average (contacts on MM is way better than that of BB)
