okay i would like to know what is your favorite multiplayer games.. they can be mmorpgs,online play ,etc.
point is i am tryin to find a good multiplayer gamet hat will keep me busy when waiting for sumthing,

Some people like games like the Mafia or Vampire ones that are out. Then there are some that you can play via SMS (like Battleship).
I'd like to hear some more as well.

[Q] Simple but very addictive games (thoughts)

Okay xda, need your help here. Situation is this. For an IT assignment, we are required to develop a game that is simple but addictive. No thanks to my sad imagination, I have no clue as to what to make. This is where you come in. Just post up what you think is a simple but addictive game. Here's the catch, it needs to be simple enough to complete in roughly 4-5 weeks worth of lessons, relatively trouble free to code in Pascal (sad I know, not my language of choice), and it has to be something that suits males and females aged 14-15. To aid in what I'm looking for, the simplicity of maybe Space Invader, Brick Breaker or maybe even something like Doodle Jump. Just post up what you think might be a fun game to play that's addictive. Love to see what people think.

formula one game where u can switch lanes and the others commin rite at ya ... maybe too simple but u can always spice it up with powerups , score and fuel consumption

not having done serious coding in it (only when at college we had maybe 1 hour on it - go figure)
racing idea is a good one, not sure how easy it would be, but with the option to have different vehicles/colours could be an option (just to expand on souljaboy)
but in my opinion - can never go wrong with tower defence!
As its for 14-15 yr olds, do it with STIs and condoms as the towers

yeah maybe a doodle jump like game or there this game i realy like where theres a round track and you click (touch screen) and it will go left slightly and the car is constantly getting faster and faster and you have to see how far you can get without touching the sides or a fly the copter like game

that would need an internet procotol and all ... im fairly sure it would be a pita in pascal if even possible

Thanks for all the replies. There are some really good ideas coming through here. I just need to keep in mind that this has to be quite simple so physics engines are probably out of the question. Let alone not having access to them. If it helps, I'm looking for something that you would play in class when you are extremely bored and will quickly catch a trend. There are some really good suggestions. Thanks a lot.

I just thought of one that might be okay. What do you guys think about the world's most addictive game on the iphone? The one that has the red cube in the middle and you have to dodge the blue cubes that bounce off the walls.

Problem is that one is 3D. Delphi can't work with 3D because of how crappy it is. haha. I think I may do that box one I was talking about earlier.

Hello guys. This is just a small example of what you can do with the all new theatre mode in Black Ops. I know it sucks but it's my first attempt at a minitage sort of thing. I'd like some tips etc from you guys that play Black Ops as I'm getting a HD PVR soon hopefully and will be doing some more professional videos.

I'll get round to adding you next time i'm on.

I'd like to see more with more weapons, specifically pistols, specials, etc., just because every joe can no/quick-scope with snipers in this game and I don't think of snipers as being all that useful in most FPS gametypes.

What do you mean? Sniping is pretty damn difficult in Black Ops compared to using automatic guns. Yes in MW2 it was easy but not in this game IMO.

I find it to be a waste of time. I see sniping teammates sitting there in spots, not doing anything while half the team goes out and gets twice as many kills in twice the amount of time while the sniper isn't helping them out.
If you're a sniper and you're going out there getting kills and PREVENTING YOUR TEAMMATES FROM DYING, then yes, that's much appreciated and you're doing things right. But if you're sitting there not doing anything (most people), I just want to scream at you, "PUT DOWN THE SNIPER AND PLAY THE GAME."

I only play for fun and I do play a lot with the sniper so I don't really care. That being said I usually switch to a proper gun if my K/D goes under 1.

Im on the 360. Thanks for the kind words guys. Quick scoping was easy in mw2 but it's really difficult on black ops. I'll be doing much more vids when I get my pvr so subscribe!

I think the PS3 is gonna take over this Holiday season. That Sony Bravia deal with the PS3 (BestBuy US) and Move being cheaper than Kinect, I see a hostile takeover in the near future.
I used to be all about the xbox (and i've owned both systems), but I have to say, not having to pay for PSNetwork is awesome. Also a better media experience IMO.

[PC Gaming] Remake the classics!

We see it every day in the console industry. You cant spit in a game stop store without hitting some game that's basically a remake of an older successful game. I could basically type up a huge list of remade games, but I'll settle for saying to look away from the 3DS section.
My question is, where's the love for classic PC games? I would kill to play the real Bauldar's Gate games (not those playstation 2 Diablo wannabes...), or Fallout on my phone, or perhaps some other platform.
I'm not saying that remakes are a bad thing, as if it were a sign of an industry with flagging innovation. Many of these games are great stories, and rightfully ought to be passed on...

Ah, but you can re-live it with an emulator + roms! At least I think there's been an emulator devoted to it.
I wish there were an equivalent for classic PC games...especially on android.
Maybe I ought to check the same place where Lord Manhattan found his stomach emulator.

Spectrum emulator + six-axis controller + Brian Bloodaxe == PROFIT!!!

With a fair bit of work you can get some of the dosbox emulators to play pc games. I have gotten tes arena working. And have heard of people getting fallout working. And of course all the basic dos games work well

That's a bit outdated for me, I'm 22. So I haven't tried it, but I'm sure it could work

I've only got four years on you then! I used to play ADOM when I was a junior in high school. It's an extremely challenging game...

One of my favorites to play on dosbox on my phone is cyberdogs. It brings back so many memories of me nd my brother playing

They ported Wolfenstein 3D to the PS3 last year. I LOVE that game. I was too into it though, to the point where I knew where all the hidden rooms were, and had all the secret weapons and treasure.

Ooh, Ooh did someone say ADOM I finished that game once with teleportitis(a curse where you randomly teleport anwhere) ...good times.
