Hey guys I just got my new Raider LTE from bell yesterday, and decided to flash this rom "VJRaider ROM for HTC Raider/Vivid/Holiday"
I was just wondering if anyone else on the bell or any other network using this rom and the required kernel are having issues with connection speeds? I notice too that it jumps alot between 3g and hspa alot too, most I have gotten is 1.5 mbps on a speedtest.
Tested my Atrix and I got 14 mpbs same area and coverage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess the first question would be did you flash through fastboot on PC or using a different method?
Which of cache/dalvik/data did you wipe prior to installing the ROM?
Did you make sure the APN info in the Raider is consistent with the Atrix?

The 3G/H flicker thing is a know bug, even stock ROM has it, the difference is that stock ROM only shows 4G icon for every type of network, no matter if you are on a 3G, HSPA, HSPA+ or 4G network, it will always show the 4G icon.
For the speed you can check your APNs, it must be a different one from the one you are using on your Atrix. Try to delete every APN and create new ones based on the Atrix ones.
Awesome thanks guys, I had flashed back to stock to try and fix it, I also changed the apn settings and it seemed to make no difference, Bell uses some hybrid network so that could possibly have had am effect. Flashing back to custom Rom now that I know its a known issue.

You could also try changing MTU through ifconfig, but this could cause reliability issues. So far, I've only changed MTU on the 802.11 radio for this phone.
OK so I went and Had a guy (page plus Dealer) switch my BIONIC over to Pageplus...I can make phone calls no problem.
BUT NO 3G or MMS.
running android 4.1.2
sys version 98.72.22.xt875
build number 9.8.8o-72_vzw-22
I don't think its rooted.
the guy did something where I dont need a sim.
I have scanned the pages but cant seem to find any help with the recent update.
I am not half as smart as some of you all so if you can give me step by step directions on how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

How are you supposed to make phone calls without a sim? I'd take it back to Pageplus and have them fix the issue. Your build number looks funny, even though you are not on the latest ota update. Are you on a custom rom? That could be the problem.

You need Verizon 4G LTE sim to make data work like we did on ICS..
Please insert any blank Verizon 4G LTE sim and your data will start automatically....

ok so I got the sim but where do I find instructions on how to get the data (3g) and MMS working?
I have no clue as to how the phone works without a sim either. All I know Is that I can make calls and send texts without a sim card.
OK with the verizon sim in I get a solid 1X but no MMS or 3G...I have tried the other pages advice and instructions but am sooooo lost.

Glad 1x is working...
Now press *#*#4636#*#* on dial
Select Phone Information
Scroll down to bottom and change network type to CDMA auto prl...
Wait for few seconds...
Press back and go to home...
Reboot...
Voila 3G will start :thumbup:

I did that but everytime I turn my phone back on it keeps showing CDMA only
Turn off radio...
Change it to cdma auto prl... wait for a while...
Turn radio on again....
And see...

OK still no 3G or mms I have done this several time and nothing still looking at a blue 1x.

I have mms but no 3g
I'm at the same build, version, etc as cucci_slamr. I have MMS and 1x but no 3G. Paid to have it flashed, really don't want to have to pay somebody else to redo flash just to get 3G. Any ideas? My network type is already set to CDMA auto (PRL). Thanks
Has anyone had an issue or have any clue why my Droid 4 completely stopped accesing the 4G network? I haven't downloaded anything recently and it's been doing it for about a week. 3G connects fine everywhere but it's like the phone doesn't even have 4G capability anymore. I've been in over 5 different cities with 4G and where I previously got 4G service and again it will only look for 3G. It's the latest Android O.S. completely updated and on the Verizon Network. The phone was rooted.
After troubleshooting with Verizon's folks they replaced my sim card and then did a hard reset of my phone both to no avail. Still connects 3G everywhere fine but no 4G anywhere.
This is driving me crazy because there's seemingly no explanation for why this happened. Is it feasible that its ability to get 4G just stopped for no reason?
Any comments / suggestions would be greatly appreciated... I've had this phone for over a year and a half and I love it...:crying:
Perhaps you changed the network mode to only GSM?
Does anyone have any knowledge on how to work with the Network Configuration? My LG ms910 from metro works normal, but if for some reason my phone goes through a coverage area where my signal drops from LTE to CDMA, it stays CDMA (3G) until the phone is restarted. I've tried using every shortcut from any cut that had anything to do with network, internet and data and many others. I've also spent countless of hours researching and I just can't figure it out. There must be a way to change your connection manually without restarting your android to switch from CDMA back to LTE when in LTE coverage??
Please I beg anyone who understand of this situation to help me come with a solution besides tossing my ms910 out and getting a new phone?
hi I have a issue with my htc one (m7) I cant get data and if I do its one bar 4g but once the 4g symbol goes away I have about 3-4 bars I called sprint and they ran me through some troubleshooting and we ended up reprogramming it still no luck and service in my area is good my dad has 4g LTE so I don't know what to do, if a custom rom might help ill turn s off and flash a custom rom but idk so if anyone can just help out
