Can you get it to work on Cyanogenmod?

Thanks! Tested this and working like a charm in Azure CyanogenMod! Just flashed it from Rom Manager recovery. Signal stength improved (3 bars in my room now, 1 or 2 before).
Again, thanks!

Installed fine with rom manager on azure 1.0.1
On standard radio with azure 1.0.1 (7.05.35.26) I had the following signal reported: -87dBm 13asu
Though I did not check over a longer period of time so can't say if it is "normal" at my current location.
After update to this radio I get as good as -73dBm 20asu
If I get any real improvement is yet to see, I'll check it when I'm down at my favourite pub tonight (I have a really bad signal there with alot of dead spots, so it's my "reference location" ).

Radio versions:
New:
7.08.35.21
Old:
7.05.35.26
Ready to flash with RomManager or recovery, NO WIPE

strange, while i got 4dBm less, from -87 to -91dBm...

Before:
-79~81 dBm, 16~17 asu
After:
-73~75 dBm, 19~20 asu

Radio 7.05.35.26L
-79/81 dBm 17 asu
Radio 7.08.35.21
-65/63 dBM 27 asu
Great improvement, on paper at least

Is there a way to see what radio you currently have installed?
Edit: For reference, if you have already rooted your phone it is just left+power button on startup.

menu - settings - about phone - Baseband version: endpart.

I flashed the zip via Recovery and its still showing 7.05.35.26, any thoughts?
Edit: It appears that I have to specifically select "Reboot the system" instead of "Power off" for it to complete the radio flashing process! Interesting .. Hopefully will help someone else in the future.

Under Settings, About Phone, Status, Signal Strength

This radio update is pretty amazing!
I went from -95 dBm at my house, to -85 dBm and I noticed that I can even make calls when I have 0 bars showing (instead of the X) - no dropped calls so far.
Pretty amazing stuff, software radio ...

I haven't noticed any difference with mine..
I'm running Azure 1.0.1, and I get -71 dBm, 21 asu before and after flashing to 7.08.35.21.
I'll see if the wifi is any better tomorrow.

^ i'm getting the same results too. almost no change. on azure + dumfuq's OC kernel

This is an issue with the radio firmware. Just make sure you're running the latest version. It may or may not completely resolve the issue. If it doesn't, you'll have to wait like the rest of us for another update.
I have the nexus for t mobile and I'm running the epe54b that came with cyanogen is that for the at and t phone if so what radio should I be using I have been trying to find it but I only have my phone internet and It's messed up lol
This is the latest radio firmware for T-Mobile customers. LINK
Compare the version number to the one you're currently running.

Possible to modify ROM to display 'H' instead of only '3G'

I'm in the U.K on T-Mobile and we've had HSDPA for a while now. A lot of the custom ROMS I've tried will only show the '3G' symbol even though constant download speeds of 2.1 Mbits show I'm actually using HSDPA.
Is it possible to get any ROM to show the 'H' as well as the '3G'?
Cheers.
cyanogen
10char
Or Enomther.
I'm sure that having the tools, you can just rebuild the original system part that includes enabling this, and push it to stock rooted FRF91 - but it's "a bit" longer way.
If I'm not mistaken, custom ROMs that don't show H are based on stock FRF91, custom ROMs that show H are AOSP-based.

[Q] [HELP!] No 3G/2G connection with most ROMs

I have a G1 with these specs (at least HBoot-Screen tells me so):
DREAM PVT 32B SHIP S-ON
RADIO: 2.22.27.08
HBOOT: 1.33.0013d
ClockworkMod Recovery: v2.5.0.7
I have tried several ROMs and with all of them ,besides 2 which are unstable, i have the problem that my 2G/3G connection doesn´t work i have searched other threads but found nothing on it. In one of the ROMs I was able to receive data via Browser but all apps didnt!
ROMs i have tried:
Biffmod 2.1
Froyo by laszlo
SuperAsop
SuperFroyo
COS-DS-full
x-treme-froyo
I flashed Radios HBoot and roms via ClockworkMod and hab no Problems with it.
Before I flash a ROM I use Ohsaka-SuperWipe
When i for example try to log into my google account while settimg up phone it seems like data is being sent but nothing comes back. (Arrow up blinks but arrow down -nothing)
Can anyone tell me what i did wrong?!?
I Admit im no pro at this so maybe i´m just doing some simple mistake which i don´t know of.
But since i really would like to use one of these ROMs, it would be nice if someone could help me.
Thx 4 reeding
not sure if this it why but most of the newer roms for the specified radio and hboot dont show a 3g symbol like the old android os usually does.. they have the H now your 3g is still running your just not seeing a 3g on the top bar

[Q] HELP! Wifi issues!!!

I have Motorola XT701 (Milestone,Motoroi or whatever) and I flashed a sbf and the wifi has very good signal but I don't have the android market. If I try to root and install a much better rom with market the wifi signal is very weak. I tried to open the sbf and the CG39.smg (system image) and replaced the app folder in there but when I compile the new sbf I can't flashed because the RSD is giving checksum errors! I had installed even CM7 wich is great at speed and market is present but the wifi has very weak signal. In all roms I had this problem maybe because most of them are for the milestone A853 or A953 or whatever? Should I edit a specific CGxx.smg? The wifi signal is the only problem I have after I root, but I like the phone very much!
Wrong device forum, but I'll help ya.
Install your SBF that's missing the market. Don't modify it.
Once you're up and running, go into your recovery and install the gapps.zip that matches your Android version (gb, ics, etc.) as an update. It will add the Google apps to your ROM's read-only filesystem. (This is done on the device, not from the PC.)
If that doesn't work, you could always just look for a com.android.vending APK....
thanks for the answer, but the problem is the wifi. why is the signal so low now, after 5 months from when i baught the phone?!?!
Maybe problem with indicator
I have seen this in many ROMs. In some ROMs the indicator shows low signal even when the signal strength is just fine. Are you having trouble browsing or downloading stuff?
yes. the wifi is 2lines of 4 at half of meter from the router. at 2 metters is 1/4 lines. do i have to flash something additional besides the sbf for the android or the sbf for cm 7?

[Q] LiquidSmooth Rom 3.1 - no LTE

I installed the latest 3.1 on my Sprint HTC One from this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647850
Everything looks great and runs well. The only problem is that LTE doesn't work. When I turn it on, I lose data. I also have to turn the data off/on to get 3G to work again (and it doesn't always).
In looking at the drdevs list, I noticed that the latest nightly builds for 3.1 are here:
http://www.drdevs.com/devs/?dir=teamliquid/Nightly/HTC_One_M7_Sprint
However, the "current version" in the thread above points to the nightly build for the cdma-unified:
http://www.drdevs.com/devs/?dir=teamliquid/Nightly/HTC_One_M7_Unified_cdma
So, should I wait to see if an update fixes it later? Should I flash to the sprint version? If I do, will I need to set everything back up again?

What is your preferred network type set in the *#*#4636#*#* Menu? Mine is set to LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) and my service both LTE and 3G is great.
Thanks for the tip! I tried changing that, but it didn't seem to make any difference. I was able to get 3G back by going into the Mobile network settings and changing the preferred network type to CDMA/EvDo auto (it was on global).
However, as soon as I turn on LTE (using the toggle), the data drops to 1x for a moment and then is gone. I have to then disable LTE, turn off the data, and put it in airplane mode and back out again to reset.

What Hboot and Radio do you have?
I had some issues with poor signal using Hboot 1.56 with Radio 1.01.20.0515. I Rolled back to Hboot 1.55 and Radio 1.00.20.1108 on both My Wifes and My phone and signal was far more stable.
Interesting. I have hboot 1.44.0000 and radio 1.01.20.0515

If you S-Off you could try to upgrade to 1.55 and if you do not like it you can roll back to 1.44. It does take a little work tho.
I am s-off, unlocked, and rooted... so no worries there! I will try upgrading hboot, and let you know. Thanks for the help!
If that doesn't help, do you think its worth trying to change the radio?

Changing Radios is easier then hboot, that is just a recovery flash away. YMMV on which combo works the best for you, its subjective in many ways. But I prefer it with 1.55/1.00.20.1108 -- 1.56 had this weird thing where the signal would fluctuate alot. Should not be related, but it stopped when i reverted to 1.55.
Honestly I never had or at least remember having 1.44 so i cannot Compare.
