Problem flashing my Diamond - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to install the latest HSPL-Version on a mates Diamond but without success. I flashed several mobiles bevore, but never had that issue:
Trying to install the Bootloader via ActiveSync just let's the phone fade to black and stuck until reset (instead of rebooting and starting bootloader).
Entering the bootloader manually will make it stuck, too, until USB is removed. Than the phone waits for a "serial" connection and will not response to an instered USB cable.
Is there anything I can try? If necessary, i will add phone's Bootloader / ROM version, just don't have them availible right now.
It is an original HTC Diamond (no Varia / other branded phone) and seems to have the first stable HTC ROM.
Hoping for your help...
Tris
Solved the issue:
Needed a 64bit driver for windows

Pls help! I think I bricked my Tilt

I flashed the official wm 6.0 AT&T to my tilt yesterday and with Blackberry, it sucked my battery so fast and I thought I would try to put in a new radio to see whether it would help.
So I installed the 1.65.24.36 radio, and after flashing, the device restarted,, but after the AT&T logo & the quick video, it just get stuck at the blackscreen with no further activities.
I tried to fix this using mtty & bootloader, but didnt work. I also tried to do hardreset by holding the two softkeys & reset, but it cannot hardrest.
Pls, anyone can help!!
Here's a thread about the 1.65.24.36 radio...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406995
The thread doesnt talk about the problem I had.
I think somehow I had a bad flash. I cant get the device to finish starting up. It keeps getting stuck after teh animated screen (AT&T & 3G).
Using Mtty & bootloader, it doesnt connect to my PC as well.
I note that when I boot to bootloader, even without the USB plugged into the phone, it says USB on in the bootloader.
Pls Help!

You need to research various radios and their ROM compatibility. It's not a bad flash, just an ID 10T error.
I fixed it!!
the radio was indeed incompatible with the PDA and it messed up the screen but it still works in the background, so I let it boot up and then it connected to my computer and I reflashed it!!

activesync not working anymore

Hello guys
last week my Tytn II decide to also get stuck at the bootscreen. It had been running more than a year with one of Dutty's ROMs without any problems at all. Fortunately I knew this forum so I didn't really panic but started reading possible solutions to the problem.
Flashing new OS or SPL via USB didn't work. Nor was I able to connect via mtty to give the boot command. I finally got it back working by flashing KAISDIAG.NBH and after that flashing RUU-356-patch-nostuckinSPL-FORCEUSB as KAISIMG.NBH both via the SD method. After that I have downloaded and flashed the latest standard HTC rom & radio. The device boots and can make calls.
However whenever it is connected to a pc it just freezes. Or at least becomes so slow there's nothing that can be done with it. Activesync connection cannot be established. Note, this does not happen if the device is connected to my car charger or to another USB charger, but only when connected to a PC, XP or vista, doesn't matter.
I've tried flashing different boot loaders, OSes & radios, so far no luck. Currently OS = 3.34.721.2 WWE & Radio i= 1.65.24.36.
Booting & making calls works, connecting via activsync doesn't.
I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me some tips as to what could be the cause of this problem.

Diamond issue

Heey guys,
A mate wanted me to flash his DIAMOND so i thought let's do that.
-downloaded Hard SPL, Radio and ROM.
Somewhere along the process something went wrong. I can get into the bootloader. can do factory reset (without any reslut).
I booted up and all I get is TOUCH DIAMOND screen.
Now I've searched the entire forum (also cheking out other options and phones issue's)
So the suggestion is to go back to stock. And the funny thing is they all need the Active Sync connection, I can't get there.
Please somebody help me out here
Put your fone in bootloader, then connect the usb cable to your pc, your pc will install a driver call htc usb sync, after that you should see the words usb at the bottom of the screen instead of serial, one it says that you can use a ruu to flash a rom of your choice
2# is definitely right !Just do it and your issue will be solved !
ok I'll try that.
Funny stuff. tried flashing it again all night without any succes RUU kept giving me errors.
Now this morning I'm at work and thought to give it just one more try.
It's flashing now.

Hard SPL via MicroSD card

Hello all,
I'm having big problems syncing my phone to pc...is the above possible via MicroSD card...I know flashing a rom is but can I hard SPL it in the same way
Thanks in advance
I don't believe it is possible unfortunately.
What issues are you having? Have you tried updating (or even downgrading them depending on what you currently have) the usb drivers?
The probleme that most of us flashing new cooked ROMs & my device get stucked several times. Likely it is connected via USB, Otherwise I can not do any thing.
Also due to several ROM flash times the USB connection in HD (or other devices) might broken.
This why we need a way to install USPL or HSPL via SD card.
Can some one help?
Regards
What I don't understand is how can a usb port become 'broken' due to flashing several custom build roms?
I too having a problem with the usb port on my blackstone. It can only be charged but not synchronized with pc anymore. I had HTC pick up my phone to have the mainboard replaced. Luckily the phone was still under warranty, so it won't cost me much.
Can someone explain?
i had similar probs ...
went to regedit , local maschine, software, microsoft,
windows ce services and changed to (1) the key : hasusbdevice
after this no problems anymore
it seems that a program installation changes this number from 1 to 0.
i have win 7 32

This is not possible infortunately. However you do not need your device sync'ed with your pc to run HSPL. You only need to put device into bootloader and then connect it to pc. Bottom of bootloader should change from 'serial' to 'usb'. If not, you will need to update usb drivers. All this info can be found on this thread, no need for another

X1 huge problem: starts with bootloader, not recognized by pc via usb

Hi guys, for several days i've been trying to come up with a solution regarding my X1.
I have read many similar posts implying different solutions with this problem, tried tons of methods to make it work, but unsuccesfull.
Anyway...a few days ago I recieved an X1 from my cousin. No hardware problem, scratched or dropped device.
The main problem is (i've met this problem on different posts, but no one could find an answer): the X1, when booted, it starts on bootloader/ flashscreen (the 4 colour screen) everytime showing info :
KOVS110
SPL-0.78.0000
MicroP1-787
MicroP2-707
If I connect the X1 to the PC via USB, or if I plug the charger in, it boots normally, and the phone works just fine. ANOTHER PROBLEM is that the PC does not recognize the X1, so I cannot HardSPL it using OliNex....!!!!?!
I know the current SPL version is a SSPL, so I can't flash custom ROM's. It's frustrating because I've spent days trying to get a solution, I'm not a newbie on this one, I've done it many times before.
I used up all the methods I could think of, including flashing an official ROM, radio, and returning to SSPL (I recogn it wasn't the case...but still). In this moment, I flashed it to Official Vodafone UK bla-bla-R3 doesn't matter, because it is not branded.
I really could use your help, guys, because I can't take my charger or usb with me everywhere I go just to start my phone, in case I need to turn it off or something.
I'm stuck, and don't know what else to do, I know the procedure to HardSPL and flashing a custom/ official ROM, but I can't go on because of the fact that by any ways, I can't get the X1 to be recognized by ANY PC. Tried ActiveSync on XP, WMDC on Vista and Win 7...the Mitty procedure is buggy, couldn't get pass the recognizing of the USB (lol !!!!)....also tried using SE Update Utility Service, no result since the X1 is not recognized... It already has SPL 0.78.0000, so I guess SEUS fails from the point of idea.
I've also tried using X1-Manual-SSPL.exe....no chance..!
Tried also to flash from MicroSD a custom ROM (knowing and assuming through the absurd that it will work inspite having SPL 0.78.0000), but it always get's stuck at the grey "Loading..." screen
I would really apreciate some proffesional help, because I'm starting to think I'm not skilled enogh for an X1 ))) I don't have the necessary resources at this point to bring the phone to a GSM Service
So...kindly...PLEASE HELP !!!
How about usb cable? is it still good? have you try to connect the usb with other devices?
the usb works fine, I've tried different usb cables and on different PC's with the X1. As I said, I used up all the ways possible to make it work...
some guys on other thread have the exact same problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611223
That's mysterious...
