Calendar widget in Android? - Android Themes

One of the main functions of my current smart phone is PIM functionality. I like to have my calendar up front. For example, this is my current home screen (via SPB Mobile Shell for WinMO):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Just a small amount of calendar, but shows my next two upcoming appointments.
I haven't seen any Android screen shots showing such a screen. Anyone know if there are widgets for any of the Android home screens to havef a calendar showing?
The rest of the items on the screen are links to my most commonly used things.

Agenda Widget
I use Agenda Widget that ties in with google calendar. It provides widgets for a plethora of X by Y sizes.

I use Pure Calendar Widget

Hey man, your photobucket image got deleted. However, +1 on the Pure Calendar Widget. It's very nice, and very customizable. Though I wonder why nobody has made a live wallpaper of the calendar with your appointments floating in the background. Sigh, if only I were a developer

Calwidget
simple. no scroll. text and back ground color/transparency configurable.

+1 to Calwidget! Very good app

Wow, Calwidget is Perfect!

I am currently using Pure Calendar, and its great IMO. Also using adw launcher so its scrollable. Really its about fully customizable. I've only used a couple of other calendar apps, when I found this one I stopped looking.

[THEME-DEV] need help turning my icon set into a theme

First off, yes, I was inspired by these two icon sets here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=744158
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742449
I simply love that idea. I'm just not crazy about Airal or Agency FB; so I took the idea and slapped on ITC's Avant Garde Gothic Std. (in two different weights). I did stick with UltraLinx's color scheme though.
For those who aren't familiar with Avant Garde, this is one of my favorite examples:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I haven't yet decided if I'm going to add the alternative characters into my icons like the above example uses. I'm installing PhotoShop cs5 tonight and if it makes it any easier to access the glyphs than cs4 does, they will definitely be included.
At the moment I have 42 icons that correspond with the following applications:
Amazon MP3
App Launcher
ASTRO
Battle.net Authenticator
BattStatt
Browser
Calculator
Calendar
Camera
Clock
Contacts
Dev Tools
DSPManager
Email
Facebook
Gallery
Gmail
Google Goggles
Handcent SMS
Latitude
Maps
Market
Messaging
Music
Navigation
News and Weather
Phone
Places
Retro Camera
Ringdroid
ROM Manager
Settings
Spare Parts
Speech Recorder
Stopwatch
Superuser Permissions
GTalk
Terminal Emulator
Twitter
Videos
GVoice
Voice Dialer
Voice Search
YouTube
Now I just need help pairing it with a nice status bar; and really I'm open to any other suggestions. So if anyone would be willing to help me smash it all together in a theme (either for CM6 or ADWLauncher) I would greatly appreciate it!

How does it react to the e ink screen?
In other words, does it ghost a lot?
Also, why is your post in all caps?

I'm using Make Your Clock Widget (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.hubalek.android.makeyourclock.pro)

}
It has weather, battery, time, date, various shapes.
It has web gallery where other people share their creations (there is more than 4000 designs at the moment).
If you don't want to pay for editor, you can use widgets from gallery for free using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.hubalek.android.makeyourclock.gallery.pro Only disadvantage is that you don't have editor :-(
How does it look on the nook touch?
I used sense Analog clock widget from the market for awhile. pretty complete look at what your are referencing in a 4*2 package. They also make a mini the packs the same info and graphics into a small space. These are both free from the market, and have standard features like launching an app of your choosing by pressing minutes, hours, etc.

I looked all over for WP WIDGET but I'm not finding anything that looks like the pic in post 1.

[App] Lockmix - Change your lockscreen with widgtes: BG, Weather,News, Rss and more

Arrange a great variety of widgets to your lock screen!
Lockmix is a lock screen content provider application that offers a great variety of widgets to be pinned to your lock screen in a way similar to the start screen tiles. It turns your lock screen into a grid where you can pin multiple tiles, which are then updated regularly to display various information. Each widget can be independently moved around, resized or configured just like the tiles pinned to your start screen.
Not enough space on the lock screen? No problem, each widget can be also pinned to the start screen as a live tile.
The widget selection includes common widgets such as weather, news, appointments or battery, uncommon widgets such as countdown, map, currency or RSS, and even fun widgets such as Chuck Norris facts or famous quotes.
As background, you can choose Bing image of the day, solid color fill, custom image, or a collection of custom images that are rotated or shuffled regularly.
The application itself and a lot of the widgets are free. Other widgets can be purchased in-app (with trial).

clock/weather widget

Can someone please recommend a clock/weather widget that will be centered on the home page. I must have tried 8 apps and none worked.
Thanks
You can center any widget if the launcher allows you to resize the area its in. The default launcher that comes with this phone lasted about 10 minutes before I replaced it. Look at Apex or Nova see example

Weird I have the same problem. In the past I've used Transparent clock and weather Widgets or Fancy Widgets and now the weather part of the widget does not show up, frustrating.
Edit: Transparent clock and weather works now w/ 5.1.0!
Thanks for the info bro but I was trying to use the Google now launcher. If my search turns up nothing maybe I will switch. Which launcher of closer to the Google now launcher.
Does either offer a Google cards page?
We're in the same boat as the initial iPads, it's scaled up for a screen.
Example - News and weather, googles own, now needs to be scaled so that the widget can be a 5x1 or 5x2, etc.
We've got 5 spots across and the N6 stock, and they didn't yet account for it.

I'm using the GNL with a Zooper widget (taken from the LG Flex I believe) and there is no issue with centering.

Question Widget help

Got my phone debloated yesterday and started adapting it to my preferences.
I was very happy with the look and widget functionality on my P30 Pro and ideally would like to replicate it.
Here is a screenshot:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I am using Nova and an icon pack called 7null, but this is no longer available on the appstore - and can't find it on my phone.
Not a big deal.
The widget showing the time is Zooper which unfortunately is not longer available. I love this widget as it's extremly customisable - I chose to have it connected to my google calender so it always shows the next event. Phone temp not important. Tapping the clock takes me to the alarm, tapping calender opens google calendar.
I tried to transfer the app and downloaded it as APK from the web, but nothing happens when I try to install.
Anyone know if it's possible to install or if there is another widget that has a similar look/funtionality?
The next calender event is number 1 for me. The option on the phone right now just showing the entire calendar month.
thanks!
Reinstalled the Vivo store which enabled me to install the APK - now I just need to figure out how to remove the widget name without losing the app names
try this
go to setting->Home screen,lock screen & wallpaper->home screen settings->icon style,size & name->turn off show icon name
tried that but that removes app names which I need. I just want the widget name gone. Never had widget names displayed on other phones
