Does the program not have an ignore rotation in settings? Just reading thread seen this.
# Fixed the ignore screen rotation option
But then maybe that's only regards a phone with gyrator?

I'm using the last version /1.5.3/...and yes, it has this option, but there is some bug. If you know the today plugin- "Motohome" .. it hasn't landscape mode..and my idea is the same...i want to disable the landscape of Iphone today or Manila.

looking for an Auto Rotate App

Hi. I am looking for an app that enables Auto-Rotate for each application. for example if i select Messaging app the Auto-Rotate will be enable and when i exit the auto-enable is disable. I am sure that there was an app for that...but i lost it...does any remember the name of it??
So you want just the home screen not to rotate? I thought it was in settings/spare parts to not have the home screen rotate. Then you just have to enable rotation and move the phone 90*.
no..its like i can customize and decide which app should auto rotate....there was this app on market...but i forgot the name...
He means like going into each apps settings and deciding which Apps he wants to rotate and which e wants to stay in portrait no matter what the position of the phone is.

I am interested in this as well...
I know when I had the HD2, there was an app called 'BSB Tweaks' which lets you do exactly what you have said plus more.... I know that may not be of much help here though -sorry...
Now, I'm looking for the app also. I just had it and can not remember what it is.

Screen orientation in froyo

i hate the screen orientation is froyo. i hate that it turns to both sides left and right. i like it better in the 2.1 roms with only rotates to the left. is there anyway i can fix this and stay in froyo??
HELP!
Can't please everyone....
You have to wait for the source to be out for this to happen.
what possible reason do you not like this extra orientation option? you can still simply rotate to the same direction that you like.
My guess is that it makes it more difficult to use the phone when lying down on the couch or in bed.
This actually is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most on FroYo. For whatever reason, I hate using the phone in landscape mode when it's turned to the left.
'ADW. Launcher' in the market lets the orientation go to landscape. I just installed it and I'm having a blast with it. Check it out.

I don't think this has anything to do with OP's issue.
And I'm going to agree with the OP - I don't really care for the full 270* rotation. Anytime that I want to use landscape, I'm going to want my right (dominant) hand to have easy access to the trackball. Also, as pfmiller mentioned, the 270* rotation makes it more awkward to use while in a reclined position. It definitely should be a setting configurable by the user, like in the CM 2.1 ROMs.
I love it with the 270degree Option.
I think you can disable it with spare parts, isn't it?
There are widgets on the market that can disable screen rotation easily.... but only works for some apps in 2.2. I just found out earlier today, FeedR keeps rotating even though I disabled rotate.
I agree with the OP. I would like the option to choose which autorotation method I want. I like to read in bed on my side and it is very uncomfortable with the new 270 degree system.

OP is not requiering to disable rotation, only 270deg rotation.
So that the left-rotation (landscape) will still work.
360 might also be good
try to mod something about that... but guess it's too dificult for me

[Q] Rotate Active Display?

Pardon the thread if someone's already answered this, but is there a hack anywhere to allow you to rotate the active display feature? I love to enable 180 degree rotation for times when I want the charger to be on top, but the only drawback is Active Notifications still display at the normal orientation.
Can it be done?

You could try App Settings. It's an Xposed module.
Thanks, I hadn't heard of that module before. I gave it a try and forced the app orientation to auto-rotate and saw no difference. It actually stopped displaying notification info so I had to uninstall App Settings.
I almost wonder if Active Display is hardcoded to display notifications from the standard orientation.
Oh well, thanks anyways!

floating auto rotation icon

Hey guys
Today I updated to Android 9. Nothing to complain except this 1 annoying button.
This 1 forces the phone into the landscape mode and I can't find the setting to disable it.
There is also no way to drag of somewhere else. Also no notification or similar
Any suggestions?
It's because you have gestures enabled. There's no way to disable it afaik.
Button is nothing but annoying

I also have this button and it's beyond annoying and covers up part of my keyboard. There's got to be a way or an app that gets rid of this thing for those of us who don't want it.

Always On Display Question

Hi. Been playing about with phone and seen that there is orientation option under the AOD settings. Choose Landscape or Portrait. But it doesnt seem to do anything, unless im being a dumbass. Does anyone have any idea?
Yes, it does what it says....clock in portrait or landscape. If you double tap the clock, it gives the rotation option and AOD brightness (if you have auto turned off )

I double tap the clock and it gives me the brightness and can scroll music, weather etc but no rotation. Confused.
interesting. I'm on Verizon and the latest update as of the 8th. Can't screenshot it from the lock screen I don't think, but I'll try and grab a pic that it's real.
