Hi guys, I just updated my unrooted AT&T N1 from EPE54B to FRF85B. Now i'd like to reset everything on the phone to restore it to stock FRF85B (remove all my settings, apps, userdata etc). What's the best way to go about doing this? Will I have to root or install a custom recovery? Cheers.
Hmmmm It would have been more idea to do a factory Data Reset PRIOR to the upgrade, but you can do a factory Data Reset via Settings -> Privacy..

Thanks man. Can you clarify if wipe through recovery and reflash will require root or non stock recovery? Cheers.

You're unrooted stock, and you're already at FRF85B. so all you need to do, is go to like he said settings/privacy and do an ERASE.
That's all. Your enter phone will erase all your user data and when it reboots it will be like a new phone on FRF85B.

Hiiii first post here but anyways,
I have a SGH-I957 ATT LTE version and had filled the hard drive space to maximum... about like 70ish megabytes remaining (I know, stupid). It was running slow and it wouldn't delete full stacks of files for some reason so I restarted it and it got stuck in a bootloop. I've tried booting to recovery and rebooting again and I don't really want to factory wipe.
Any suggestions?? Please help lol
Try clearing cache and dalvik. If that fails clear data factory reset. If that fails odin back to stock

All okay and back up and running after installing all of my apps again
I messed up my WiFi somehow and a factory reset doesn't fix it.
Is there anyway to wipe absolutely everything but my recovery and a ROM/Gapps to flash?

you either put it there while you booted into your current rom. or you sideload it using adb commands or all in one toolkit from bootloader
Hi Experts,
I recently rooted my phone and installed SuperNexus ROM on it after CWM mode.

Yes, it's safe but I advice you to wipe everything before you go stock.
Flash one of philz's kernels for JB(latest I guess), reboot recovery and then wipe everything. My advice is to wipe cache, system, data, preload, dalvik and even emmc. You will ofcourse lose everything on internal card. After that do a full wipe/factory reset(the one which says install new rom).
Then reboot to download mode, press up and flash stock JB firmware via PC Odin just like in the link.
I followed the procedure in the link and its tuck after samsung logo..just keeps reloading again ad again samsung logo..
what do i do now??

Ok. Are you in recovery of the stock JB that you were trying to flash?
Or just tell me, what kind of stock ROM did you flash via Odin.
This is stock JB's recovery..I flashed the official ROM for India DDLSC.

Ok, now click reboot system and when it tries to boot, hold Volume Up + Home + Power to go to recovery again. This time you should be in Philz custom recovery.
Yes I am in that custom recovery

Ok, great. Now you will wipe everything.
Go to mount and storage and:
-format cache
-format system
-format data
-format preload
-format emmc(it will delete your entire internal storage, I do it to really delete everytihng, you don't have to do it if you have important data but I advice it)
Then go back and go advanced:
-wipe dalvik
Then go to wipe/factory reset and select the second one(Install new ROM - this will again format everything).
Get back when you're done.
Yes done that ..what to do next

Now go to download mode. You can reboot to download somewhere in the menu. Maybe under advanced, or under Philz settings, just find reboot to download.
When it boots, press up and hook up the phone to your computer.
Run PC Odin and you should see a yellow coloured window that says that device is detected.
Now under PDA select your stock ROM md file. Check "Auto reboot" and "F. Reset time" and nothing else.
After all is setup, click Start and wait to complete.
I am doing that.. just a question was that the boot loop issue of stock ROM?
done with odin device is reloading.
Yes it started after taking a bit long time..
I am configuring it now..
I have few questions about it..
Is my device still rooted? If yes how to unroot it.
Is philz recovery still present?
everytime I flash a ROM I will have to wipe everything?

You are not rooted anymore and you have a stock recovery, everything is stock. You don't have to wipe everything when you flash a new
ROM, but it is very adviced, also it depends on the ROM you are flashing.
The bootloop probaly occured becouse you were coming from an AOSP based ROM and probably didn't wipe anything.
Thanks mate..you are a real life saver..
you are a dude..thanks a ton for helping me so patiently ..
Next time I will be carefull..

No problem:good:.
Yes, next time you should backup your important data and always wipe everything. That's the most reliable way.
Upon completion of the update yesterday, my touchscreen is no longer functional. Has anyone else experienced this? Any fix? I've tried taking the battery out and rebooting. Thanks

My touchscreen is unresponsive. Stock S4 Active. Help Please.....:crying:
Never heard of the Q&A section?
Anyway, Were you rooted? Did you change system apps/ flash things? If so that why and I would guess you need to wait for the Odin to come out.
I would also try Wiping Cache in recovery and factory reset.
Mine is a stock S4 Active.

Get into bootloader mode and flash back to stock system. Be sure and boot into recovery after you flash stock system and then wipe the cache. Then reflash the image you want using mofo. Then wipe the cache after you do, then boot into system.

Are you sure the stock system images is flashing? What image are you flashing?
Also, I don't know what you mean you can't get to the wipe cache screen - it is recovery. I have all of the instructions on how to get into bootloader mode and flash back to stock as well as getting into recovery here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/general/noob-guide-rooting-verizon-moto-x-2014-t3097375
Also, if you are having trouble flashing the sparsechunks from RJ's site, then you can download the fxz and flash the single image system.img using mfastboot.

OK well there are special instructions on what you need to do the first time you flash an image with Xposed. Both ClydeDroid and mikeoswego have those instructions in their OP with the links to the images.
I've flashed both of these files from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...mages-mofo-t3100601/post60537982#post60537982 and I still get stuck at the M logo.Wiped and didn't wipe cache and still nothing :/

Try wiping data instead of just a factory wipe. Note that this will nuke your sdcard.
the data wipe didn't help either.I'm stuck.need my phone,so I'm goling to flash back to stock

So to summarize - you are back on stock and everything works fine? But when you try to flash an image via mofo.exe, it never boots and instead hangs on the M?
That sounds to me like your image is corrupted. I would re-download the image.

Be sure and wipe cache after flashing and let it hang at the M for awhile too before you conclude that it is not going to boot.
