Hi can ne one tell me how to update nexusone froyo frf50 to frf83
word has it you can just install the small 1.8mb update that was leaked out on top of the your current build assuming your running a stock installation with root or something of that sort. if are using another ROM, shame on u for not putting in more detail in the post. how u do expect to get help?
Head to AndroidSPIN
Hey I did a post on AndroidSPIN that can help you out with that. Full update instructions.

Can anyone help me. I updated to jm1 a while back using odin and now want to update my phone using kies. The latest kies says is that my software is the latest and doesn't need updating. Any ideas whats wrong? Thanks
What would you like to update? Do you want to update your Galaxy to Froyo? Froyo is not available in the UK (I am not sure if you are from the UK, but I guessed that from your avatar) so far, it will be next week. Unless you want to use the reghack - you can find more information about this here on XDA dev forums...
Thanks for the info.
Updated the phone to froyo.xwjp6 with kies by looking at the sticky that was put up today. Quite impressed!!!
good stuf! froyo is wayy beter than eclair lol

Nothing. It is correct.
Today I learned that captivate got a official froyo update. But I have no idea how to update. Does anyone know how to get the update?

That should give you everything you need
There is already a thread about this. Please search before opening a new thread. Thread closed
I have been waiting since I heard Google was sending on the gingerbread update to the nexus one's. However I still haven't received mine yet nor update 2.2.2.
Under settings /about phone:-
- Android 2.2.1
- Build: FRG38D
- Hboot: 0.35.0017
- Radio: 5.12.00.08
Any ideas? I have tried manually updating but didn't work for me.
Many thanks,
Luigi,
Manually update to 2.2.2. Then manually update to 2.3.3.

Also if you need to be running stock 2.2.1. I suspect your not due to fact you have 5.12 radio. What rom are you running?

FRG38D aint it?
You're not running stock Google ROM. You're most probably running Vodafone modified firmware. In that case, you won't ever get Google OTA, you'll get Vodafone's - which isn't released yet, and who knows when will it be.
To install Gingerbread, you need to revert your phone to stock Google version. Read the Wiki and see, how. Look for "unroot/restore" guide.
You can also just root your phone and install one of the lightly modified stock GB ROMs (like Geo411's) from Development forum.

I'd say it's safe to just go on and update as notified. So straight to 2.3.3. That's what you're going to do anyway, right?
yes it is, thanks =)
Thanks for your help everyone! Finally got 2.3.3 =D
I'm loving it. Anyone know how I can come across the new version of nexus LWP?
Thanks
