Since I updated to Froyo this morning I haven't seen my trackball turn on at all! I been testing it with Twitter, Messages, Missed Calls but nothing will turn it on
Anyone experiencing the same? Or did I miss something?

I got a little problem with my g1.
When my phone is in standby and i get an incoming call it lags like hell.
After a delay of about 5 sec. the screen wakes...
I experienced this problem a long time, but always thought it's a ROM problem. After i tried various ROMs, i realized i still have this bug.
i don't no exactly when this problem started, but I think it came with the first donut ROMs.
I also think that it's no spl problem since i got this delay with the stock spl and the danger spl.
Does anyone have the same problem or even know a fix?
Can confirm this. I have a delay of a few seconds between the first vibration, the ringtone and the screen turning on and displaying the incoming call screen.

i have the same problem
I have 2 G1s and this happens to me occationaly. I only have a few apps on my phone but my wife has lots of icons and apps on hers. i notice i only get a delay once in a while but she has a delay all the time. last night i updated both a Eclair 2.1-V1.5 from CYM 4.2.13 so far 2.1 seems to be a little faster so we will see...

on CM. admittedly i had never done a full wipe from 4.1.99 onwards so it was getting pretty laggy by 4.2.12. i've noticed a huge improvement when running dwang 1.17 and even more so on super d 1.6.
this bug really sucks...i get it on every rom...sometimes i cant even answer the phone...

Flashed latest xROM Eclair by JAC. Under idle, the phone almost always rings after the caller hears the 1st "do do" and before the 2nd.
If the phone is being used, especially with heavy apps (e.g. browser), then it's another matter...
Does anyone else got issues with Push Notifications?
My SGS has been acting more and more flakey when it comes to push notification from k9 mail and a handful of IM messengers. I've been running custom roms ( darkys and insanity ) and tried reverting back to a stock rom, but the issue is still there.
When the phone has been idle 10-15 minutes it seems like it looses its ability to get push notification.
Any ideas? All help appriciated!
I'm currently using a custom 2.3.3 rom that's giving me some trouble as is and I would like to go back to stock. The only real thing that's holding me back is the notification light.
Does 2.3.4 fix the notification light? Previously it would only blink if the notification was received while the screen was off, and once you turned the screen on it would stop. I'd prefer it to blink until I addressed or cleared the notification.
Also, as a bonus, does 2.3.4 reliably fix the pmem blank keyboard issue? Or will I still have to restart my phone ever ~24 hours?
I think that the notification light hasn't been "fixed" (not sure they deem it as a problem). I know that feature has been included in CyanogenMod for quite a while.
2.3.4 in the cyanogenmod nightlies seems to fix the pmem issue. I haven't had it since CM incorporated 2.3.4 into the nightlies. Now I am guessing the fix came from google, but I don't know for sure.
Why does my captivate ring when i power it up. Its not a notification of any sort and i don't even have the ringtone in my ringtone libary.
The ring is a continous office tone ring and dosn't stop for about a couple of minutes.
I was wondering the same thing. Are your running the official ATT 2.2? I was and it started ringing like that after I got whatever patch or update it was that ATT sent out that allows the Amazon Appstore to work. I thought it was probably a part of that update. It went away for me after I flashed over to a custom ROM.
Yea I'm running the official 2.2. I was thinking about flashing to a different ROM but im too scared to do it. I just got the phone a month ago.
I noticed the same ring tone thing happening sometimes when I rebooted. It was really annoying. It only started happening after I did the Kies update to 2.2 Froyo. Quickly got rid of Froyo and flashed 2.3 Gingerbread stock rom and do not have that problem anymore.

I'm running LPT since it's release, and it's been working great. However one thing I noticed since changing from GB is that GTalk notifications don't always work. Most of the time they do, but sometimes they just don't happen.
I have it set to vibrate and status notify, and when this happens, I'll either get a status icon only, or no notification at all. This gets annoying, especially when the phone is in my pocket, as I have to keep taking it out to check if I have messages.
Never saw this issue on GB... Anyone else seen this or have any ideas?
