HTC_IME.apk any way to get it on eclair?

Ok so i've searched and only found a ROM that has it on JAC's ROM of Eclair by a user. My question is there a way to install the HTC_IMe.apk to a elcair rom like king's and make it work? When i try to put the HTC_IME.apk on the phone and uninstall and install thru astro it says cannot be installed anyone have any ideas please?

All these views and no one has the decency to reply at all?

I don't know about you but I just use Linda File Manager and just install the HTC_IME.apk for Android 1.6 and it works perfectly.

Get the clicker.apk and HTC_IME.apk
install clicker
install HTC_IME
btw theres a search engine for a reason. people have already posted about this topic so many times that no one wants to re post again and again. I guess Im the only patient one nowadays -.- lol

framework-res.apk problem when using metamorph

hi guys. im new to this forum and would like some help on how to change the status bar on my milestone(droid).. my phone is rooted and i have metamorph installed and am running android 2.1 stock.
When i apply a theme to other apks from metamorph everything is fine but when i try to apply it to the framework-res.apk my phone reboots and nothing is changed i also tried to use AndoidCommander to pull the framework-res.apk manually, change the images and put it back in but it doesnt change any help pls? Thanks

ok guys i managed to at least push the apk using the terminal app.. but everytime it reboots everything starts to force close and i have to reinstall the sbf using rsd lite... do you know what im doing wrong please?

Um well I don't bother with theming myself, but in the absence of any more helpful responses, if you're running a stock ROM I imagine it's odex'ed & you can't theme an odex'ed ROM. You could look into deodexing the ROM but aiui it's quite a bit of work. Probably easier to find a custom ROM you like, which isn't odex'ed & start from that. E&OE.

thanks for replying mate the problem is that the milestone cannot run custom ROMs due to a locked bootloader... the problem is that i can mod all the apks except the framework-res.apk, which when modified using the terminal app, makes all the applications force close..
EDIT: ok i tried to deodex the modified framework-res.apk and push it on the phone but still didn't work any help guys?

Can someone please help me find or get me the update zip from the 2.1ruu i would prefer it be from 2.27.651.6.
i have searched but cant seem to find it...i need it completely stock and not messed with.. thanks in advance

[Q] Allshare Application

I understand this is the Captivate forum, however I was unable to find an answer over in the Vibrant threads and I was hoping someone here could help I'm currently running a custom rom, however unfortunately AllShare has been removed. I've attempted to push the dlna.apk file back onto the phone as I've done with other applications, however it simply does NOT install. Any suggestions?

I saw someone else on here suggest for a similar app. But did you try to find all the files it installs from the phone and just copying it over to the custom rom?

Calendar Force close

Hey there all. I recently decided to flash my phone back to stock odex firmware via kies (JVT) and rooted it via superoneclick so I could remove useless apps with Titanium. I happened to delete the calendar sync process/function from the system and now im getting force closes from calendar. Obviously the calendar was working prior to this, so im assuming im needing to re-install the calendar to get it to work again, anybody know if this will work or will I need to flash again fresh? If its as simple as installing the Calendar.apk to make it work, anybody have it available for JVT (if version matters or not) ive googled for the .apk, but was not comfortable with installing anything without finding out first. That, and the fact the .apks I found I wasnt happy with them being correct.
