Original HTC Rom

Hi, i am very new to this game. However I have managed to unlock the sim, what I would like to do now is either flash the original HTC rom or Duttys. My question is do I have to flash a specific radio first or just flash. My current radio is 1 27 12 32 and I have hard spl installed.

if you are flashing the original HTC rom that radio should be fine. However, if you flash dutty's rom's you need a radio that is compatiable with 6.1roms. search the forum or the thread that is associated with the rom you want to flash.

If the Radio you have is not compatable with the ROM you are using (very common on the latest ROM/radio releases) the OS will probably refuse to boot.
If this is the case, just load the bootloader screen and flash a compatable radio.
Most chefs lift the compatable radios in the 1st post.

I installed the nothrills ROM over my T-Mobile default one. I didn't even think about radio. It seems to work fine. Do I need to worry about this?

No, but you might get better reception/battery life with a more compatible radio

... am I right in thinking the Nothrills ROM changes the radio too? It seems to say it does on the forum page. Sorry for asking, but I'm not clued up at all about this kind of thing.

That's what it looks like.
If you look in "Device Information" you can see the versions you are running.
If it matches the first post then you flashed the radio.

Tilt Newest Radio Version for Windows 6.1 Pro

Does anyone know what is the right version for the radio if you have the stock ATT/HTC Windows 6.1 pro ROM?
I currently have version 1.65.21.18 and the one on the HTC website screen shot is: 1.65.17.10
Which one do I need for the 6.1 Pro-and please advise the link to the new radio version and how to install.

I have unbranded htc and I have 1.65.20.29

I'm currently using the AT&T WM6.1 as well and have the same radio (1.65.21.18). I have only flashed the AT&T rom so I'm sure this is what shipped with it.

I suppose the The Ultimate Radio Thread isn't Ultimate enough for you..
"The newest AT&T WM6.1 ROM's and HTC WM6.1 ROM's(5.2.19202, 5.2.1209, 5.2.19212, & 5.2.19213) require the 1.65.XX.XX radio. The New Official HTC ROM also uses 1.65.XX.XX radios. Any of the 1.65.XX.XX radio's will work Update: The NEON / NIKI radio listed below will also work on these ROMs

I did see that but theres different versions of 1.65.xx.xx - also my 6.1 ROM is 3.57.502.2 -> Does this apply to the 5.2.xxxx?
im a newbie as you can see.

I got an extra bar with 1.70.19.09.

I can only imagine what will happen once the fuze is released and every kid gets a tilt for christmas because it will drop in price.

So it looks like I have the current ROM and Radio...but why am I getting the problems of echoing effect when talking and sometimes when it connects to a call, there is no voice on either end?
I called ATT and they told me to master reset...hate to do this.

Well My problem is i cant seem to get the FM Radio to get to work....
i plug in the Headphones and start the radio..it starts...and when i click scan & Save..it save some irrevalent stations that dont even broadcast in my area.????and if i manually scan to a particular station i just hear the chusssssss Sound!!!!!

have u tried flashing an official indian rom to see if that makes a diffrence? maybe its some issue with using a wwe rom in india, some issue with frequencies or sumat

Official Indian Rom..???How do i get it..???i searched the whole xda sites...all they offer are WWE,gre,ita& other roms..how to tell which rom is indian..???

Okay sorry for the Delay Mancsoulja....itseems i have a newer version of Radio than the one you suggested.. well i am downloading the rom right now.....will update in an hour or so... ....its taking time cuz i have a crappy 30kbps transfer rate....so it takes roughly 45 mins to download a 100MB file..and Oh...do you happen to know how many posts one has to make to become a seniour member..

well i reflashed Everything back..and the phne is booting again....Thank to AZTOR...and i guess i was close to bricking my phone.....and Mancsoulja...could you plz stay void of sending me and my phone on Suicide missions...well..anyway that proved that India rom aint so great either...so anything else to try..???

well some more info for you guys for a clear picture....okay now.. i reflashed the phone ,this time with duttys roms...seems to be good..and newer than aztor....but still the FM radio is not working......i entered the bootloader and saw this info and thought to post....

LOL....sorry for being such a noob jerk.....i was using the touch 3g headsets all the time....those dont have the radio antenna receiver....sorry....now i just have to find the headsets with FM enabled ones......it took me some time...to actually realise that the headsets were of touch 3g and it doesnt have radio so the headsets are also not FM enabled....

New Radio for better reciption! Some questions!

Hey guys,
I'm currently using my T-Mobile branded German Xperia with following Roms and Radios. Rom ver. is 1.02.111.7 from 9/17/08 (oviously R1A) while my radio is ver. 1.06.25.29.
I never flashed because of two reasons!
First of all everthing works fine on my phone. It is not too buggy and not too slow either. With MS 3.0 it's a pleasure!
Second I don't bother making backups for a little update like R2A or R3A is.
Now - I'm a little unhappy with my reception but couldn't that be because of the network (operator) I'm using? I just read that with R2A (R3A) reception has improved. Is that correct? Is it for sure that with new radio reception is better?
If so, is there a way to just change radio? Or does changing radio means data loss as well? Because I don't really like the idea of flashing since I brikked a 500$ phone once and lost my warranty. Do I lose my warranty flashing only the radio (if that is possible?).

If you just flash the radio you wouldn't lose anything. the rom and all your files will be there. so go on and update youre radio. i'm using 1.14 and i'm happy with it, reception got better for me also.

using 1.16 AND IT'S AMAZING improvement over previous radio's .. in my case batt life is better and reception is MUCH better indeed. give it a try.. u can always flash ur radio back to what u had ..

I've just hex edited it and stuck it on my HD to test. I've never seen a radio this good..
reception everywhere so far..
but the rilphone to go with it would be fun

1.16.48.25 is a great radio, also for Germany
Using it with O2 without any problems

but some people had problems with the rilphone. i didn't try it yet. but i didn't see any 1.15 radio

Trouble with Radio Rom

Hi Guys,
Have just put my Touch Diamond (CDMA) handset on Reliance India but am unable to send sms. Currently, I am on 1.08 radio. On some suggestion i switched to Sprint 1.11 F.. radio. But it shows no service. Then I changed the ROM to MR4 but still shows no service.
So again re-loaded the same 1.08 radio and as usual voice works.
Am i going wrong somewhere, can experts on the forum provide suggestions.
