i wanna use my hero like an ipod, i have tons of mp3 and i was wondering if any of you knows a nice mp3 browser with album view like iphone coverflow... thanx!!!
Doesnt the HTC Stock MusicApp look pretty similar to the iPhone's? It has cover flow aswell oO
Cubed is the slickest android mp3 player around at the moment.
I like the wall mode best, but the Morph flow is quite near coverflow if you would prefer that.
btunes is based on the iphone music app, looks the same to me but i dont know how similar the performance is.
Yes there is search in the market for ''cubed'' or just look here http://www.androlib.com/android.application.org-abrantix-rockon-rockonnggl-pwit.aspx
I love this player
Rockon? Which version? The last one I tested was buggy as hell, simply unusable for me... Btunes has a lot of potential but needs to mature a bit I think
Qissmusic is pretty smooth too
my vote goes for ^3 or Cubed. Its simply awesome...

Greetings!
I got my phone a few days ago to upgrade from my tilt 2 and it just feels like going from a Athlon 64 to a i7 LOL
A few things that are not quite there yet like the playstation emulation is no quite on par with what I have seen on Windows mobile..compatibility wise...I cannot get www.veoh.com to play even with Skyfiew and even southparkstudios is not quite as smooth (although much better looking) than on my tilt2 but I guess when Froyo is out the problems with Flash will be gone.
The main thing I want to work with now is making the home screen look more like my Tilt2 Energy ROM that I like so much.
I got the Launcher Pro + but I cannot even figure how to change clock and to show weather animation on the home page like the Energy Rom...or even if that is possible.
Any help is welcome.
PS Has anyone gotten the Amiga emulator to work yet?

The closest I can find to what you want is launcher pro and beautiful widgets (adds the home widget with the large clock + weather a la energy rom) hope that helps
Thanks.
I found fancy widgets which looks just like HTC.
Unfortunately the only live weather I have found takes a lot of resources unlike the one for our HTC phones so I guess I would have to wait a bit more on that one.

For appointments on your home page, try "agenda widget", It's great and very customizable. You can make it look just like sense, but even better in my opinion.
Thanks mate...is looking better already and this fun is just freaking awesome
I just need scummvm to be happier and a working amiga emulator as well.
Tested and works on the fascinate.
I personally like the miui app better but you might enjoy this. Looks like the image gallery lol

Edit: seems to take up alot of resources..see what you think. I get lag when using it..you might not.

Love the app. But i've tried many times before, this phone just does not handle it good. It ruins music with skipping/studdering. Which is surprising because its fine on the inc. But you cant even play music and load a webpage. Its just a cool looking thing but will definitely require a more finalized build to make it even acceptable
agreed.

I remember a thread on here a while ago where people were theming to get the Windows Phone 7 look. There's now a launcher on the market called Launcher 7 that does most of the work for you, you should check it out.

Just tried it out. Its very smooth, and its the best one I have come across.
im enjoying this launcher, its really smooth.

Definitely. If there's one thing that I'd like to see more of on the Market, it's more "alternative" launchers like this. Launcher Pro, ADW, Go, etc. all have their differences, but they're more or less the same in that they're all plays off of the whole multiple homescreen and a dock thing. It's nice to see new ideas out there. I remember a while back there was a launcher that showed all of your texts, email, facebook notifications, etc. in kind of an agenda view. It never really took off, but it's good to see devs think outside the box about the homescreen.

Because thats the core of how android to this point is intended to work. I like Launcher7, its fast, smooth and functional so I play with it here and there but the tile UI is comparatively bland and boring even with widget support (and the custom ones I've seen that arent bland and boring are WAY too busy). I'm gonna put it on my wifes phone since she'll love the big ass simple tiles concept.

sir I want to say this without coming off as a hater at all..
but that homescreen needs a little bit of work, it looks gaudy and awful!

without using custom images those 2x1 and 1x1 tiles (and the headphone/camera images) are all there is. I'm not going to spend anytime importing images because I like my android phone as an android phone and it wont get any use anyway. I was basically showing how the UI looks unmolested.
I found this awesome movie manager for anyone running Honeycomb at the moment. Michell Bak, the developer, said he is working on a version for GB and Froyo as well. Check it out if you haven't already.
Thanks!
Yeah, it is pretty slick! I will probably get the paid app when I get more titles on my tablet. I have noticed that the widget does not load the images until the app is opened...does ths happen for anyone else?
Purchased my copy of app
This app is awesome. Really makes my tablet complete when its movie night with the wife. Visually it looks amazing and functions very well.
noozy best music player wow check it out http://www.androidpipe.com/noozy-audio-player-brings-top-sound-quality-and-features-download-here/
thanks
Thanks for the link, i've been looking for him for a couple of days, i'll give it a try though i'm more than happy with Playerpro.
PS: after testing it, i would say that the Metro UI works nicely, but i still prefer PlayerPro. Not a bad choice, though,
