Hey all,
Decided to buy Robo Defense and i get a strange characters instead of the actual text displayed in the game. Any idea what may be causing this?
I have Kang-o-rama 0.8 final installed. Thought it might have been the fonts pack, so i unistalled that but it still doesn't work.

Hello all!! I recently installed Cootek Touchpal on my TILT, and I sometimes have problems with it, sometimes it freezes up and doesn't let me enter in any letter, other times letters vanish from the damn keyboard itself. Does anyone have the same problems with it? I really like the keyboard and how its layed out but the problems are just getting on my nerves. Does anyone have a alternative keyboard that they use without opening the keyboard? I use it alot when im in the car, when I only have one hand free. thanks

No I haven't posted there yet, but I was just wondering if anyone had any other keyboards that they use. Becuase the default one is small, even if you put it in large keys mode.

I use the cootek TouchPal 3.0 I used all versions since it came out. I actually do not even use the hardware keyboard anymore I can type so much faster on the TouchPal. I have had freezing when trying to type but I have always found it to be the ROM not the keyboard. What ROM are you on?

First the snapshots looked good. This is somehow similar to what we see in marketing : products branded with nice designs, but the quality poor.
My device, Axim X51V, is quite a fast one, or this is my impression about this kind of CPU's. Touchpal made me feel I was using a 200MHz OMAP.
So after a few tests in which I've seen it doesn't do much I've uninstalled it quickly. Sorry, but there are better alternatives, so I won't stick to something inferior.

Hi all, I've been unable to find a solution to this strange and irritating problem...all I have managed to find is this post describing the same thing.
Basically the phone will suggest words incorrectly and not show the real word you actually want. If you delete it and type the same again though it'll appear as normal. This occurs using both the Phone Keypad and Compact Qwerty.
Secondly the first word in the suggested list is a nonsense word every time though it is at least not selected.
e.g. typing hello on the Phone Keypad displays "gdjjm" before hello or "gello" using the Compact Qwerty.
I first encountered this after installing Dutty's latest ROM even though the change log for that says it's fixed. Today though I installed CT's latest ROM instead which initially had fixed the problem, however suddenly it is back just the same as before. If anyone has any idea what's causing this, or more importantly how to fix it, it'd be very much appreciated.

Im also on dutty's V4.
For example for me, i press 8 then 4 then 3 (to get the word "the") and it will produce something like "vif", which obviously isnt a word, i will delete the three characters and repress 8,4,3 and i will get the word "the" with other alternative suggestions. Happens only sometimes, and i think ive pressed a wrong button, but when i work out the letters, i know ive pressed it correctly.

Im also using dutty v4, and i get stuff like that happening all of the time.
for eg, i type "res" for "rest" and the suggestions are: "residents,bisho" , "Research" , "result" , "rest"
another, if i type "arg" for "argue" the first suggestion is "argumentation" then "argumentative" then "arguement" and there is no argue!!
i mean WTF is residents,bisho? i have never added that to my dictionary in my life!
Someone at Micro**** neads to learn how to spell, or optimize the way the dictionary is utilised.
It is funny, when i had a hermes, it came with windows mobile 5 and there was no problems there!
anyone know how to fix this?
I have the exact same "problem".
I'm not on dutty's, but am using CT's Version 6.4 HD now (used a few other versions of him too) and the problem occurs in all these versions.. Even the original ROM had this problem in my case.
It can be a little annoying so I hope there is a solution for this..

If you add "argue" to your wordlist, it will appear as the first word in the future, it's the best solution at this time imo, but i totally agree with you that a word like "argue" should be in the dictionairy by default.

Just before typing this i have just send my friend the following
"you seduction to come to my place...."
when i was wanting to say "you sed to come to my place...."
i know im abbreviating said to sed, but shurely there is something else in the english language between sed.......&.......seduction!
I've had this on both Duty's and CT's latest ROMs so I wonder if the problem lies with the standard ROM on which they're based?
It's becomming very annoying to write messages as I'm having to type half my words out twice so it finds the right one! Can anyone help in any way?

I am from Romania (Europe) and I needed a romanianT9 so I installed the EzInput keyboard from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426281. But I also noticed that I don't have the described problem with the english T9 even if I also use Dutt's v4. I'm not sure if I had this problem before installing EzInput (because I didn't use english T9) but I guess that you guys should give it a try. Here is what you need:

I would agree with the fact that it is ezinput causing the issue, can you post a link to the thread instead of the CAB.

There's a game similar to warcraft 3. It is a tower defense game (as warcraft's ones) it's called "Arcane's TD". Languages are english german italian and french.

hi many thanks for the suggestion, have been playing this game its very addictive, which got me thinking of the old style create a city to defend etc - Command and conqor style games, maybe there isnt anything avail on WP7 yet. could even be a good idea to make i have no idea how to start there tho lol.
So far there's nothing. And i think there will be nothing. Screens are too little to be used to play games like warcraft 3. You need lots of buttons and space, things you can do only with a keyboard and a mouse.
True, but wouldn't it be great if they figured out a way to make a great warcraft 3 game for wp7? hopefully someday...
I found another game called "haypi Kingdom". It is similar to Travian or other MMORPG online games
I had purchased the SPB Shell 3D for my streak a long time ago and then was getting bored with ADW so I downloaded it again but had remembered that other people posted that the 1.5.1 version wasn't working on Xoom - apparently this updated version 1.5.2 includes Tablet support and does a fairly nice job - I like it anyways because it's something new to play with - anyone else try it out? What do you think? Slower than ADW I think but not anything that detracts from using the device.
I'm curious if others have tried this new version and what your thoughts are . . .
When I had a Windows mobile phone I really liked the SPB She'll, so I tried it out when I saw it was available for the android. On Atrix, I thought that SPB shell was a little laggy and caused the battery to drain a little faster.
I tried the latest version on my Xoom and noticed a couple of things:
1) SPB shell always seemed like it had to reload after I exited out of an app.
2) after a couple days of use, SPB seemed to act a little wonky.
For the time being I have uninstalled SPB from my phone and tablet, but I will probably try it again when a new version comes out.
