hi,
I've got some problems with my G1.
Recently i used CM 5.0.8 where i had some problems with calls.
From time to time my phone just mute the call so that i can't hear the other side, and vice versa.
Some times it even disconnects the whole call.
it doesn't matter if i'm calling to a cell phone, or normal phone...
I read (and thought about that already) that the call gets muted for about 5-6 seconds when a e-mail is pushed to the phone, but i'm not shute if this was evry time i got muted.. (at least one time saw that i got an email)
i tested it a few minutes ago, and after around 30 minutes of sitting and holding my normal phone, i decided to switch the phones, so i replaced my short usb cable (front panel) with my stock usb cable, because i can sit normaly while holding it with this cable. i sent a e-mail to my own g-mail account and after 5-6 seconds of no sound, i could here me saying "test, te" and then got disconnected...
anyone got ideas what this could be?
here is the relevant logcat log.

P.s.: atm i'm on FroYo SPF 2.4 (with full wipe) but nothing changed..

5 days old now and 2 recurring problems i have noticed.
1: Sometimes when i unlockthe phone the lock image stays halfway and then the phone hangsand then i have to hardboot it.
2: I travel a lot and change sim cards. So when i land and change a sim card and make a call the other side cant hear me. So i have to restart the phone and then all works well.
Both these issues are recorded not 100% but have happened to me 3 times in last 5 days.
Anyone facing similar issues.
I assume this is just Windows and maybe within the next couple of updates this MAY go
Can't quote on the multi-sim issue but having my phone sinmce 21st Oct i've never had the Unlock problem you're stating. I've had the phone crash on me twice i think, but that was simply the screen becoming unresponsive (both time whilst in the MarketPlace. Hmmm.....)
You could have a faulty unit.
I have had the loss of voice issue a few times now.
Phone someone up and they cant here me. Also if I go to put it on speaker phone it doesn't go very loud.
Take the battery out, put it back in and it all works again.
Is this a hardware or software fault ????????
My guess of it happens at random then its not hardware. Its a software glitch. Also for me it happens when the battery is low.
Yes the screen has become unresponsive and then had to reboot.
Don't remove your battery just keep the on/off button pressed for long. It works.

This happened to me also, the speaker phone is very very soft, you can barely hear it I hope they fix this on the next update.
Market also crash on me earlier, just blank white screen, had to turn off and on again.
did you turn up the volume on speakerphone? or was it using the same level as everything else?
first couple of weeks I had several times where an incoming call I couldn't hear the other person talking. This happened about 4 or 5 times in the first week, but hasent happened for about 7 to 8 days now so I'm wondering if it was one of the HTC hub updates I've recieved.
If it happens again it's going back to the shop
Hi All,
I have this problem with my SGS that a call gets disconnected too frequently. I have found it difficult to have a conversation more than 20 mins without a call drop once or maybe sometimes even 4 times. I think i have traced the reason for this after many months of noticing... Every time the call gets disconnected, i see that "E" symbol that pops up on top. You know... the one for data transmission? I think every time some data is transferred on to the phone during a call the call gets disconnected. Is there a solution to this?
Hey there.
I have a stock Samsung Galaxy S4 Active on the AT&T network. Recently, I've been plagued by a number of troubles.
Bit of background:
For a while, I had the most bizarre issue: the screen thought I was touching it when I wasn't, near the bottom-middle of the screen, and would attempt to open/click on anything in that area. Often turning the screen on and off would help, for a little while. I was reaching my wits' end, because that would obviously be very frustrating to someone who uses their phone frequently throughout the day.
I thought maybe it had been new software I had installed, so I did a factory reset. Problem remained. I factory reset with NO backups. Problem remained. I updated to 4.4.2 via OTA. Problem remained...
And then mysteriously went away on its own.
I've been working in tech for a decade now, mainly in PC and server architecture, so I know better than to look a gift horse in the mouth - but I also know better than to think a problem that "mysteriously" goes away is gone for good. So the first part of my question: does anyone know what could have possibly been causing this?
I'm not super phone-savvy. I've rooted and flashed a few phones in the past couple years, but I'm by no means developer-level.
---------------------
Which brings me to my next problem... around the time that this issue went away, another one cropped up. Randomly, my phone will stop sending/receiving texts/calls, and the data connection will not function. This will continue until I turn on airplane mode and turn it off--at that point I receive all my missed texts, and it works again... sometimes for 5 minutes, sometimes for nearly 2 days. It's really frustrating. I've tried factory resets, I've tried restoring default APNs... but I'm at my wit's end with this. Can anyone help?
Thanks!
I should add that, with my last issue, it still shows a data connection in the notification bar - but there is none, or at least, no activity on it. It doesn't simply act as if it's in airplane mode and go "wah no data network" as soon as I try using it--it just simply hangs for ~30 seconds, then times out. Messages don't get received, webpages don't load, calls don't get placed, etc.
Hello guys
Ran into a snafu yesterday, clicked home a N6 demo-ex from one of the internetstores here, it was cheap and I've always wanted one. Of course it came with a pre-unlocked bootloader and everything else you'd expect from a used Nexus, but I wasn't too bothered about that, I would have unlocked it myself anyways. Flashed MM on it as soon as the images were available. I played around with it for a few more hours, then late last night I decided I should move my simcard to the N6 and try Speedtest and a few other goodies. Speedtest went just fine, got the usual 64 Mbit over LTE, then .. I'll call my automated bank just to check the earpiece and speakers. "Dial .... call ended". Try again. "Dial... call ended". Put the simcard back into my Nexus 5, dialed the same number, worked perfectly. Back into the N6, same number, it dials, then just as it's supposed to start ringing, "call ended". Has anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong here?
Done so far to find the error:
*Reboot *duh*
*Reflash MM
*Flashed 5.1.1, thinking it was a new modem and my simcard didnt like it. Sim is about 2 weeks old by the way.
*A couple of factory resets, just to be sure
This is the very last Nexus 6 these guys had on the shelves so I would really, really rather not have to return it but of course a phone that you can't use for phonecalls .. I already own a Nexus 7, don't need a miniversion of it. Bright ideas or even far fetched guesses appreciated!
Hey bud, I had a similar issue with my phone as well and the way to fix it is by rebooting exactly 6 times in a row....literally. Power on, power off power on power off etc........ Ive encountered that issue several times, it usually happens when i left my phone die and then reboot after full charge. I could only use data, no voice/text and sometimes it would be backwards, no data, voice text only
This is my mom's phone that she's had forever and will not part with. I safestrapped and rooted it several years ago, and kept it current (it's running 5.1.1). The phone was working great, then she left it charging for about three days before she remembered to grab it. I went to turn it on for her and it was dead. So I plugged it to my charger (very good) and nothing happens. Charger port is bad, no biggie. I transferred out her battery with a spare fully charged S4 battery, booted and all was fine, except we realized calls weren't coming in to her. Her phone doesn't ring, vibrate, do anything on the screen to indicate a call, nothing. But immediately after the call ends, she gets the missed call notification and voicemail shortly thereafter. Nor can she call out.
It was an ATT phone, but is unlocked and through T-Mobile (for more than a year now). I've been rooting and hacking for almost a decade, dozens and dozens of devices, millions of troubleshooting problems (5 kids with every electronic possible from ages 2 to now graduating from highschool). I can't figure this one out. It says it's registering on the network, but after attempting a call out or a to call her, it suddenly says there's no sim. I've tried other sims, as well and no luck.
Any ideas? I don't think she will use ANYTHING else!
