Digital TV WiFi / Bluetooth receiver - HD2 Accessories

Hi, folks!
One of my friends appeared today with a very cool accessory for his iPhone. He bought a wifi digital tv receiver for his iPhone. I have to admit that this is one of the greatest accessories I´ve seen!
Although it´s a WiFi receiver, only iPhones and Symbian phones are supported, once one has to install a program to use it. In the link below you may find some pictures of this accessory:
http://www.garotasemfio.com.br/blog/2010/06/24/review-modulo-de-tv-digital-tivizen-para-iphonetouch/
My question is: is there anything similar to Windows Mobile?
Thanks in advance!

hmmmmm...well interesting device.
Look neat but I would not buy it. If you have to spend money, just buy a TV tuner for your home pc and install this: www.orb.com

google search find
no idea where to buy one though

here is the company site for Bluetooth Wireless DTV Receiving Solution.

But still don't know where to buy. Please let me know if you know where to buy.
Thanks

yea i seen this a while ago and thought id love one for my 7500, but as you said cant see where to buy one anywhere. would consider it though if the price was right.

Any news, guys?

waichai:
You can't use this because u can use this in China/Korea only, it was CMMB/T-DMB which only used in China and Korea!

I've a solution for a long time ago already!
You can use Slingbox or Orb!
Slingbox was a top-box that u can stream your TV(HD) outside using it's Slingbox program(PC or PPC), but the top-box cost much... NO MONTHLY FEE
Orb is a free solution similar as Slingbox, you no need a top-box but you need a computer with TV-TUNER card as server, and create a account and install Orb in your computer, so you can stream your TV using your browser(opera, ie,, on phone or pc etc.), format .asx! ORB IS FREE!
I am using Orb now, but it's quilaty quite low and i want to buy SlingBox, but it cost...
I HAVE NO MONEY...

Cheap alternative to Google Maps + GPS

Maybe others don't have this problem, but sometimes when I come out of a pub/club in London after celbrating another glorious Scottish footballing victory, I have no idea where I am. It's nice to rely on Google maps and my GPS to help me out (assuming my diminished brain functions are up to it), but on the Orange 30MB tariff that blows goats.
Has anyone found a nice cheap/free alternative that would give us city street maps in storage and integrate with the GPS too?
Ferg.
GPS starts at $99 USD for a full blown system. then it's yours for life. sure it's not free, but it's not that bad either.
GPS
If your brain is not up to snuff, then perhaps you should not be driving... Call a Cab.
Perhaps limit your post football rampages to pubs that offer free WiFi?

Hehehe. Sorry, I neglected to say that I need the software primarily for going by foot and tracking my position!
I find that TomTom aint that hot when you're going by foot.
Like the pic Mike. Hopefully we'll get some more similar ones from Switz/Austria. ;-)
If I were you, I am English and probably wont have to travel much after events in Moscow , I would cough up to Orange for a SIM unlock and then stick a T-Mobile PAYG SIM in it and be happy that for a maxiumum of £1 per day I would have "unlimited" mobile data.
Memory Map uses offline maps but they are £££ unless you go looking in the dark side of the Interweb. If you have Autoroute on your PC you can install Pocket Streets. These last 2 options involve you manually preinstalling the map areas you will need. I have found that the size of map needed is directly proportional to Alcohol intake

You don't need working drivers for that video - it's Liverpool - they always play in slow motion anyway so no problems with camera lag
"You don't need working drivers for that video - it's Liverpool - they always play in slow motion anyway so no problems with camera lag "
LOL !!!
Nice
Interestingly that endgadget article has a post that this phone does not actually run Windows Mobile... but some sort of rip-off.
Other sites that sell the device don't state WM6 (or any version) on their features list.
Does M$ charge alot for putting WM on a device? If so that could be one reason for the low price.
Plus it only has a 30 day warranty, I believe the tilt has a 1 year(?)

Uses "some sort of Windows Mobile operating system". The real one is already a buggy mess, go figure that one...LOL
I bet it will perform better than the Kaiser, and I'm not kidding (sadly).
It will probably perform better than the Kaiser because it is using a basic OS that is more like a calculator than a Windows Mobile.
So, it probably boots up in 5 seconds, switches apps in a fraction.
But it also probably doesn't have TouchFlo, PIE, or many of the other features that make the Kaiser/Tilt nice.
It is like any of the other numerous phones out there on the market (like from Verizon) that have a slide out keyboard with a proprietary OS.
This of course is assuming the statements above about it not being WM6 are true. If it indeed runs WM6 then I am sure the performance will be equivalent to the Kaiser.

What to use an extra 17" LCD for?

I was just given a newish 17" LCD (VGA) for free. I'm already using both ports on my PC, so what can I use it for? Obviously I could sell it, but I'm wondering about other uses:
- Video game console if I pickup a converter?
- Some sort of info display in my bedroom? (easy, cheap way to display headlines, current weather, etc.?)
- neat-o big ass digital picture frame?
What else? Also, does anyone have any leads on the above? What say you?
Use it as your PPC's monitor, drag it around town, woooooohooooo!!!!
Or as a door greeter:

if u can build pc make a car pc
17 is WAYY too big for a carpc, im using an 8in and thats huge considering your only 1 foot away from the screen. if i were you i would put in next to your current monitor and put ur music player and stuff like that on that screen while u use the main screen for web browsing and what not.
What I'd really love is a Chumby like device or the WidgetStation (which I don't know if it will ever come out...)
I could re-create it using a small Linux system, but it's the hardware I don't have a clue about. I envision now waking up to this display near my bed, on it are some "widgets" with weather, time, some RSS feeds, etc.
That would be sweet...
That's not a bad idea ChaOConnor. I like having everything right there when I wake up also.

I do like this idea. I may have to ponder it for myself.

Can you post some larger pics? I can hardly see these.
ive been researching this phone the past couple days, and im highly interested in upgrading from my dash to the kaiser. im in the market for a new smartphone a) cause i am bored with my dash, done everything ive wanted to it and b) its slow. i have a low budget, id say 300 tops and everywhere ive looked to buy this phone is at least 400. ive tried lookin for promo codes and all that fun stuff, nothin. i dont want to buy one off ebay cause you never know what youre gettin off there. I have t-mobile and i dont know wether to get this or wait to get the diamond/touch pro... bottom line is i like this phone alot and im ready for a new one...
if i could have waited, i would get the touch pro..
at least from what i think i know
still avalible?
Is the phone still avalible? What would be a reasonable offer at this time if so?
Thanks,
Loretta

:good:
I looked at my local Walmart on Thursday and there was no Chromecast with the Roku products.
Next time you're there, I'm very curious to know what serial numbers they have... and whether they are of the format 3xxx101xxxxx or something different.
Just look on their site. If one is avail at a store near you the site will tell Ya. Then head on down to check the serial. It's 2013

Back to WalMart today. Might have missed them the other day as they were in a special cardboard floor display at the end of an isle.
Must have been over twenty of them, mostly 3A's but there were around six or so that were 3802 and 3807 but I didn't pry out the three that were in separate pockets!
Of course its now in WalMart, that where all worthless old technology goes.

Your mileage may vary, my Chromecast is far from worthless.
While I would never buy a computer from Wal-Mart, lots of people buy TVs and other consumer stuff there.
Chromecast in Wal-Mart means more market penetration (I recently noticed the TV ads for Chromecast), and now they're finally making active strides for outside development with a hackathon at Google HQ.
Looking at the serial numbers alone, we have at least 30M Chromecasts produced, and that's using a conservative calculation of 10K units per first-four range, but there should definitely be more than 10K per, as the final 5 positions are definitely alphanumeric.
