so now if i want to upgrade to the new version on 23 july from the old version on 18 july do I need to put the new version in xrecovery folder and flash the phone again or is there an easier way where i dont lose my contacts and installed programs.if so can you plase guide me how?
many thanks
Vijay
floyo v21 is android 2.2
the other version from july 23rd ist android 2.3
so there might be some problems if you "update"
be sure to backup first!
@vijesl07:First,this rom is called "Floyo v1.0b",not "Floyo v21".Second,cm7 v.138 hackdroid is base on Android 2.3.4,Floyo v1.0b is base on Android 2.2.5 these are 2 different system.Problem happens if you installed a wrong rom.

[Q] ROM question.

Ok so I'm still very new to all the Droid Rooting scene and I have a question.
I want to flash Steel Droid 9 to my droid but it says it is updated to 2.3.7 base. Do I have to update my android to version 2.3.7?
(currently 2.2.3)
Are you using a stock ROM? You might want to follow the Cyanogenmod Full Update Guide for the Motorola Droid in orde to change ROMs.
Replace instances of the cyanogenmod rom to the steel droid 9 zip you have.
And no, you don't need to update your current Android version to 2.3.7 as the ROM takes care of it.
Disclaimer: I haven't tried flashing to a Motorola Droid.
Good luck!

Possible to switch from new unlocked bootloader to old bootloader?

Hello all, Im currently on django manouche x 1.2 and would like to try the new cm 10.1 nightlies for the old bootloader. What is the easiest steps in order to achieve that. Should i just smartflash a gingerbread stock rom and root it?
Download the AIO toolkit from the Development section. Instructions are given at the OP.

[Q] S3 Toolkit on Android 4.3 JSS15J

Hi,
I am trying to root my phone, running on Android 4.3 Build JSS15J. I stumbled upon the S3 Toolkit, but my version nr. and build aren't included, and I wouldn't know which build to pick, to safely run this.
I have also tried Framaroot version 1.8.0, and it provides me with the Aragon option, which is an exploit that's not available sadly.
Has anyone successfully rooted this version, and can guide me in the right direction?
