Contact Photo Size - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there anyway to make the contact photo larger?

If you're talking about how the Facebook contact images show up grainy on incoming calls, then i'm wondering too.

+1
I know that HTC phones do it (Desire, Hero, etc), so I think it can be posible
to do in Nexus One, the OS is the same.

I'm talking about the photo that shows up when someone calls. The quality of the picture is really bad and the size is tiny. Would be nice if you could make it bigger and not lose the original quality of the picture.

Dialer with large Contacts Photo

Does anyone know of a dialer which displays a larger contacts photo. The size of photo in the standard T-Mobile dialer is tiny. Also the pop up notification window on an incoming call doesn't show any photo. A large picture of the caller would be great for screening calls. I used to use a modded Eten dialer on my Wizard which did have a slightly larger picture but afaik it is WM5 and does not support video calling.
Bump
Are there any Kaiser compatible dialers which display a larger contacts photo?
I used to use this and it worked nicely:

It also had good profile management, blocking features etc.
I can't be bothered to install it now that the HTC Home has contact pictures on it though...
I have used "Slide 2 Unlock" on mine which is available on this forum. There is a registry setting on this that will allow you to have a full screen picture of the incoming call contact as a background with the incoming phone number providing you have a photo for the caller stored. It works very well and it's free!
I'm now using "Inesoft Address Book" and I'm quite happy about it.

Try it and I'm sure you'll like it

I installed this last night (v0.86) and it is working brilliantly. What with S2U2, PocketCM, PocketCM keyboard, HTC Album I feel like a little Apple fan boy. I didn't start out to clone the iPhone look&feel I just wanted a responsive, intuitive, user friendly interface for commonly used features.
I guess I didn't either but it's hard not to like some of these iphone type apps. It's a bit like having the best of both worlds, but what I will say is that I tried the iphone in the o2 shop and the screen is something else!
Does it identify contacts in your SIM? Photo COntacts pro didn't that's why I stopped using it. Also can you use alternate dialerpads cause the one they show is ugly. Also what shows when someone without a picture is calling? Thanks for your help and advice.
Does somebody know what registry settings belongs to make larger contact photo appear on incoming calls? I don't want to use a multi purpose program for it.
Thx

contact pictures in exchange

Hello,
I got a problem with my outlook and exchange.
If I edit a contact and add a picture of someone, the photo afterwards looks really bad: blurry and fuzzy. WM6.5 got a nice call dialer which shows the photo but it resizes to a bigger resolution than in outlook.
Is there any fix how to improve the quality of the pictures uploaded?
noone knows how to fix this?

Contact Picture Quality

I want some info about the Contact Picture Quality, beacuse when i put a pic on one of my Contacts, the Quality is not Good compared to the Contacts that are Sync to Facebook.
Any info o how to resolve this, if the photo need to be some size or something like that?

Google contacts HD Photos

Everytime I save a photo to a contact it'll be full res, (no bubble effect over it) But when I update my phone and have to wipe everything, the same contact will now have the bubble effect over it cause it was downloaded as a low res picture, I have check the box for big pictures to be downloaded over wifi and mobile network but the picture is still low res.
I need my google contacts pics to be uploaded in full quality and not downsized when synced.

I got the exact same problem and always assumed that the hd pics are only stored on the phone while the ones on google are low res so when the contact pics are synced back to the phone all you can possibly get is the low res variant hence the bubbles.
Just last week my new Nexus 10 proved me wrong: Set it up, synced the contacts -> all pics got transfered as high res ...
Beats me what the difference might be ...
For me, it doesn't work at all. I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 before i switched to the One. On my S3 i synced with google Contacts and had many HD Photos. So what i am doing wrong?
i had this issue with all my phones i mean s1 s2 s3 and s4 both with stock or CM roms but when i tap on the photo it's downloaded in HD.
Same here i have HTC One and i maintain all my contacts in gmail. Have some pictures assigned to contacts that i like and when synced for the first time they have bubbles its annoying when we call that person and to see the contact pic blurred. Only the facebook photos are shown in full resolution. Is there any solution for this.........:crying:
Save all your contacts as favorites (starred). This is the only solution

Very Small Photo In Caller ID? How To Make Larger? Need A Different App For This?

So, the Caller ID photo is very small (I find).
What are some great Caller ID apps that can show the caller's photo large enough to take up the entire phone screen?
Thank you!
I used some different calling/dialing apps in the past, and, sometimes they cause more troubles than beneffits, so I no longer try any.....
