Does anyone know how I can change the hand colors on the analog clock in Android? It's green, but I would like to try yellow or blue. I know, like in Cyanogen, the clock (as well as the power widget) are in cyan colors, so can something similar be done?
Or is there like a third party app/widget that looks like the clock but change colors?
Sorry if this is asked, but I searched on many forums without an answer.
There's quite a few free analog clock widgets in the market that allow customizability. I don't use an analog clock, I use Beautiful Smaller Home by Beautiful Widgets...or you can
try to ninjamorph it.
@hollywooder
I have seen tons of widgets in the market, however I want the same background and hand design, with color changing option.
In that case, morph is probably what you're looking for, but since I don't suppose there is a morph just for clock, you'll also have to make it.
I found ninjamorph and it seems to be able to analyze jar and apk files. If someone can tell me what file that analog clock is, (and if it uses images for the hands), i could probably edit the images and put it together.
Still learning about the OS....

Searched (here and google) but couldn't find an answer. If it has already been posted, I apologise.
I just got my HTC Hero and I'm adjusting quite well from the change from WM6 to Android (used to have the HTC Touch Pro, aka the Raphael I think) but I was wondering whether HTC sense on the Hero interface can be changed (e.g. clock, colours) or if there are skins available, like there were for WM. Just to be clear, I know there are loads of apps out there (OpenHome, aHome etc) to change the normal interface, but they all seem to be focused on the Hero without the Sense interface. I want the Sense interface, but would like to change the analogue clock, the colours etc.
Thanks in advance!
No you can't really do that at the moment.
But there are several widgets for clock, you can change the background and the lock screen. Or you can pu any widget that you want instead of HTC's
haven't seen those either, not for Sense anyway, do you maybe have links/names of those apps for me? would really appreciate it! thanks!
Photo Clock is a good one. It has about 10 different faces, including 2 or 3 where you can choose a photo or your own pic as the base background for the clock. Just type clock into the market... All clock widgets for android can be used "for sense" - you just dump the HTC Clock widget and load one from the Android Widgets section. That goes for all android widgets.
I'm assuming you know there are 13 different clocks on the HTC Clock widget for Hero?

No, I didn't know that, I've only had it a couple of days and did look around on the phone for ways to change it, but I don't seem to be able to find it (I realise I'm sounding like a complete noob now, but oh well). The Photo Clock app sounds good as well, will have a look at that if (after someone has been so kind as to help me locate the different styles for the standard app) I don't like them.
Thanks for helping me out with this!
edit: I just found it! power of posting I guess It was under HTC-widget and I'd only been looking under Android-widget...Now I think about it, not too smart...
So you're sorted? Its not that obvious tho I have to say, as the options for screen widgets only come up when you choose them, so unless you dump one then reapply, you don't see them.
On all HTC widgets there's a little number (1/12) at the bottom saying how many options for views there are for that widget - some have loads, others only 1.
Also check out the SCENES - I only just got round to seeing those - they are like template arrangements of screen widgets that you can switch to and fro between, and also gives the option to save different custom arrangements.
I have one with links to all my porn and a photoframe with naked men that I have to quickly turn off and swap for the business one with the classy blue world wallpaper in case the hubby sees.... (kidding...)
They look seriously useful but I've not had a full mess with them yet. It was VERY simple to pop back to my own eclectic Scene set up tho

hi all,
i'm just wondering...
is there any free appwidget backgrounds gallery/collections available out there?
i thought it was easier to find them and i'm beginning to think that it is not so (or maybe i'm not able to!).
except for the psd files on the official "widget design guidelines", creating my own one is the only way?
and what about the classical one... black, a little gray gradient, rounded corners...?
thanks.
just wondering if my question is malformed or misplaced somehow...
I do not know any widget gallery...as every widget has it´s own individual size.
aren't sizes limited to 1x1, 2x2, 2x1... 4x1...?
I tried playing around the phone last night and I can't find how to change the clock. Mine is now : http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/02/mwc2011htcincredibles23.jpg (on the right) and I want to change it to something like this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064833 (the first post).
Any idea how to?
Or even better, how do I change themes?
Sorry, newbie here.
It's under Personalize (The right icon on the dock which looks like a paint thingy forgot what its called).
For themes, it's under skins, for the clock, it's under widgets. (when you select clock, slide for the various different clocks)
I've searched high and low, but can't seem to find an answer to this question.
I'd like to take the stock time/date from the lockscreen on my Thunderbolt and place it onto my homescreen.
I'm running Das BAMF Remix 1.7 which has the "Verizon Wireless" nuked from the lockscreen. I think this time/date is so simple and it'd look perfect on my homescreen, but I have no idea how to put it there.
Try simple clock widget from market. Not exactly what your looking for I know, but fairly similar.
Sent from my Motorola 8500
I don't mean to sound ungrateful. I do appreciate the quick response.
I've tried both simple clock and digital clock, and while both are pretty damn close, they're not quite right. I'm too particular I suppose.
I'm hoping someone knows how I can extract the time/date from the lockscreen (perhaps as an apk?) and then I can just flash it like any other mod.
Can you post a screenshot? I looked through the Roms thread for pictures, im just being curious (nosy)
Make Your Clock Widget or .. Make Your Clock Widget (Pro)
mClock or Minimalistic Text
Give those a try. - Also, I think "OMC" One more Clock has what you're looking for as a default skin.
i suppose i was just being lazy. after a bit of patience, i was able to use minimalistic text to mimic the stock lockscreen date/time perfectly. the only extremely minor glitch i can't quite fix now is the positioning. when i unlock my phone if you look carefully you can see the time/date jump just a few pixels. i don't think this is something i can fix though, as it probably has something to do with the different ways in which widgetlocker and launcher pro plus draw their grids between the lockscreen and the homescreen.
Hello guys!
Ive found some really good looking digital clock images (numbers) and im looking for a clock widget that supports images for each number instead of using fonts.
Any ideas?
Beautiful widgets for example does support images for numbers but i want a cleaner clock with no dates etc
weather & toggle widgets?
why not develop the font you want its actually pretty easy if you have the pictures there is a couple of font making tools for both linux and windows. I've done it before its fairly easy but a little meticulous.

You can skin your own Fancy Widgets, or Beautiful Widgets - I do. Pretty easy - no need to decompile apk, just edit the png's from another theme's files that get stored to your sd card when you download a theme from their respective markets.
