[Q] How do I change my clock from analog to digital? - HTC Incredible S

I tried playing around the phone last night and I can't find how to change the clock. Mine is now : http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/02/mwc2011htcincredibles23.jpg (on the right) and I want to change it to something like this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064833 (the first post).
Any idea how to?

Or even better, how do I change themes?
Sorry, newbie here.

It's under Personalize (The right icon on the dock which looks like a paint thingy forgot what its called).
For themes, it's under skins, for the clock, it's under widgets. (when you select clock, slide for the various different clocks)

Themes and Clock

I'm running Duttys Hybrid ROM on a Tilt (Fantastic! I like it a lot more than stock 6.1!). So far, there are a few things I'd like to change. I've got a different wallpaper theme and it makes some of the articles on the today screen hard to see, especially the LED style digital clock numerals. I'd like to change the clock to the type I see on a lot of the Diamond themes, the old-fashioned flip-card type numeral look.
Is it possible to just get the clock without having to change ROMs? Can I even get this clock face for this ROM?
Search For HTC Home Customizer.
Thanks.

HTC Sense: Can it be changed?

Searched (here and google) but couldn't find an answer. If it has already been posted, I apologise.
I just got my HTC Hero and I'm adjusting quite well from the change from WM6 to Android (used to have the HTC Touch Pro, aka the Raphael I think) but I was wondering whether HTC sense on the Hero interface can be changed (e.g. clock, colours) or if there are skins available, like there were for WM. Just to be clear, I know there are loads of apps out there (OpenHome, aHome etc) to change the normal interface, but they all seem to be focused on the Hero without the Sense interface. I want the Sense interface, but would like to change the analogue clock, the colours etc.
Thanks in advance!
No you can't really do that at the moment.
But there are several widgets for clock, you can change the background and the lock screen. Or you can pu any widget that you want instead of HTC's
haven't seen those either, not for Sense anyway, do you maybe have links/names of those apps for me? would really appreciate it! thanks!
Photo Clock is a good one. It has about 10 different faces, including 2 or 3 where you can choose a photo or your own pic as the base background for the clock. Just type clock into the market... All clock widgets for android can be used "for sense" - you just dump the HTC Clock widget and load one from the Android Widgets section. That goes for all android widgets.
I'm assuming you know there are 13 different clocks on the HTC Clock widget for Hero?
Daisy
No, I didn't know that, I've only had it a couple of days and did look around on the phone for ways to change it, but I don't seem to be able to find it (I realise I'm sounding like a complete noob now, but oh well). The Photo Clock app sounds good as well, will have a look at that if (after someone has been so kind as to help me locate the different styles for the standard app) I don't like them.
Thanks for helping me out with this!
edit: I just found it! power of posting I guess It was under HTC-widget and I'd only been looking under Android-widget...Now I think about it, not too smart...
So you're sorted? Its not that obvious tho I have to say, as the options for screen widgets only come up when you choose them, so unless you dump one then reapply, you don't see them.
On all HTC widgets there's a little number (1/12) at the bottom saying how many options for views there are for that widget - some have loads, others only 1.
Also check out the SCENES - I only just got round to seeing those - they are like template arrangements of screen widgets that you can switch to and fro between, and also gives the option to save different custom arrangements.
I have one with links to all my porn and a photoframe with naked men that I have to quickly turn off and swap for the business one with the classy blue world wallpaper in case the hubby sees.... (kidding...)
They look seriously useful but I've not had a full mess with them yet. It was VERY simple to pop back to my own eclectic Scene set up tho

How to get rid of the flip clock completely

Hello - I've searched far and low. It seems everyone except for myself love the huge clock. I hate it whether it flips or not. I don't even want a clock on my home page. Does anyone know of any app that can make this clock go away and give me more real estate on the home page?
Tried WAD2, but crashes too much. Infinity also crashes. Used SPB for about a year, but bored and hate the bottom icons.
Thanks for any direction...
Just swipe your finger up through the home screen, the flip clock will gone, replaced by a (much) smaller clock.
If you hate the bottom icons in Spb, you can try ShellExtension that can hide the bottom icons on the Spb, or the naong MobileSense that can replace the bottom bar with HTC Sense (in HTC Android devices, for example : HTC Hero), (HTC) Espresso, or Omnia
.
vtmorp i agree with you i flip the clock up i prefer the small one if only there is a setting to have it by default flipped up
flip clock
My old phone used sense 2.1 and the flip clock did flip up into a smaller clock. This one does not. Using sense 2.5 2012 so maybe that's it, but my last rom had sense 2.5 1911 and it also did not flip up into a smaller clock.
Oh well - back to spb with some tweaks. Thanks.
u can try use Maxmanila. It support the big clock, flip clock, digital clock, or no clock.
Many times if youre not satisfied with the big clock nor you wanna install a new clock by searching for cabs, why not revert to the Windows Default Screen??? Depending on what rom youre using....
Start/Settings/Today
Look for the Item tab, un-check HTC Sense or HTC Manila
Check Windows Default
And well.....heres a more simpler style too your phone, no more BIG CLOCK.
I guess just try different approachs......
You can use some of the tips/tricks/files in this thread (most will work on VGA phones) -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589227
try
checkout the cookiemonster home tab mod, if you swipe up twice you remover everything but a tiny clock at the top and you can see your background
Yay - no more clock!
Thanks Overjjrk! The cab worked like a charm - the awful clock is gone. It is definitely a preference matter - I just don't get why I have the time in the upper bar and then this HUGE ugly flip clock taking up all that real estate.

Froyo Stock Analog Clock - Change Colors

Does anyone know how I can change the hand colors on the analog clock in Android? It's green, but I would like to try yellow or blue. I know, like in Cyanogen, the clock (as well as the power widget) are in cyan colors, so can something similar be done?
Or is there like a third party app/widget that looks like the clock but change colors?
Sorry if this is asked, but I searched on many forums without an answer.
There's quite a few free analog clock widgets in the market that allow customizability. I don't use an analog clock, I use Beautiful Smaller Home by Beautiful Widgets...or you can
try to ninjamorph it.
@hollywooder
I have seen tons of widgets in the market, however I want the same background and hand design, with color changing option.
In that case, morph is probably what you're looking for, but since I don't suppose there is a morph just for clock, you'll also have to make it.
I found ninjamorph and it seems to be able to analyze jar and apk files. If someone can tell me what file that analog clock is, (and if it uses images for the hands), i could probably edit the images and put it together.
Still learning about the OS....

[Guide] Theme with transparent icons

At the request of a number of people, here's a little tutorial explaining how I made the theme below, I called abstract theme (do not ask me why ...)
(Note that I am not the inventor of this type of theme, I am inspired by many themes I have seen on other forums, I thank very much the creators of wallpapers I used (I never remind theyre names except EG Fox, sorry for that))
These examples where created for the Dell Streak but this guide can be used for every android phone, just use the good resolution for the wallpaper
1/ So, to start, install Launcherpro (you can also take the "plus" but paying)
2/ Adjust the settings you prefer (this is only the parameters related to the theme I present now, but there are other possible parameters):
- Number of pages, the default page, the number of columns, the number of lines (to position your shortcuts, personally I have 8 columns and 8 rows) => Menu / Settings / Homescreen Settings
- Number of dock (the dock is the Quick Launch bar that is located right in landscape mode, you have 5 possible shortcuts in one dock and it is possible to have up to 3 docks (to slide up or down on the dock) => Menu / Preferences / Dock Settings (you can also specify, if you choose to put shortcuts telephone, email and sms on the dock, if you want to be displayed a count of unread events)
- The bottom of the Dock (in the theme as an example, I have no background) => Menu / Preferences / Appearance Settings / Dock Background / None (if you want to put a custom dock by you or found on the net, then you must choose "Custom" and pick the dock from your SD card)
3/ Choose your screen and resize it at 800x480. So that the bottom is not distorted, use Multipicture Live Wallpaper which allows you to set a different wallpaper per page (if desired). Multipicture Live Wallpaperr is managed as an animated wallpaper
The bottom will not be distorted but the 36 Pxls top will be hidden by the notification bar.
4/ Then you need to know, based on the number of rows and columns you have chosen, where you must place your text on the wallpaper. To do so, complete page fully of shortcuts. Then made a screenshot, I recommend the excellent ScreenShot
5/ On your PC, using your editing software (photoshop, photofiltre ... etc.) you can have your wallpaper nude and the screen as it will be on your Streak with the location where applications will be.
So place your text on your nude background by ensuring that these areas are easily covered by applications..
Your wallpaper is ready !
6/ Now install Desktop Visualizer, which allows you to put shortcuts transparent (especially)
(For those who could not find it on the Market : http://www.partage-facile.com/GYV6DGY6CW/jp.co.bii.android.app.dskvzr.apk.html )
7/ Desktop Visualizer works as a widget : long press on background / add a widget and choose desktop visualizer (it has different sizes, choose the one that best fits the space you have planned for your shortcut)
DV lets you choose the icon of the application to launch, get the transparent icon on your SD card (if you do not have a transparent icon, here's one : http://www.partage-facile.com/0GJIEOUAO0/transparent.png.html )
Then select the application you want to start.
Delete the text of the application and confirm (you can change or remove the highlighting that appears when you press the link to the application you're using, otherwise it will be orange)
8/ Once you've validated, you see nothing changed on the screen, it is normal because you have placed a transparent icon ! The link will always be placed to the top left corner of your home. Make a mong press along the top left, your widget will be highlighted by launcherpro.
You may notice a kind of tab in the lower right corner of your shortcut, by pressing and holding down while moving your finger, you can resize your widget as you like.
So give the desired size for your shortcut and press "back", the highlight disappears. Now made a long press on the top left of the streak and held down, move your widget transparent to the place you want on your home. (To verify that it is well positioned, have a long support for and release to highlight it)
Do this for each shortcut you provided on your screen.
9/ The last step is the Dock. You've already put in the dock transparent, but it remains the shortcuts on the dock that are visible.
Make a long press on shortcuts, you can either change an icon (change icon/custom icon) or change the shortcut and put any you want and you can still choose the transparent icon before finalizing this shortcut.
Then, I think I pretty much said it all. To summarize, here is my wallpaper ith some details :
This is obviously a simple example that you described above some customization capabilities. Unleash your imagination and make us great themes!
I hope I was clear about (and sorry for my english), do not hesitate if you have questions or additions
Some other example of themes done with this method :

No issue with more than one screen, just use multipicture live wallpaper to choose wich wallpaper you want for each screen.
