I'm currently running Cog 2.3b6
Um as in samsung stock or ASOP?
I don't know if there really is one come to think of it.
On Cognitions latest and greatest. Don't ask what version DG pumps em' out to fast!

I don't want the numbers in the battery icons
Hrm.. could find the stock battery images from a jh7 OTA zip and put them into the framework-res.apk before you flash Cog on your system next time

Yeah, was hoping not to flash again lol. I have tried placing other framework battery icons into a different framework. Sometimes I get success and sometimes they either don't show up or they cause crazy FCs... do you have any idea why?

yea bc you have to flash changes to the framework or use a metamorph style file. find a theme flash or metamorph. dump it. delete all the files except the frame work. now in the framework open the res folder then delete all the other folder except drawable-hdpi. now input ONLY the batt images you want with the correct file names. re compile and flash or meta apply

You will need the original xml files from ji6 framework too inside framework-res/res/drawable:
stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
stat_sys_battery.xml
zzz_stat_sys_battery_1.xml
Gingerbread Themed DROIDX Multi touch Keyboard for Eclair 2.1
There are two versions of this keyboard one with regular DROIDX sized keys and one with modified Gingerbread sized keys. I have only done a little work on the keyboard so far but it has the general look, style and feel of the Gingerbread keyboard that most people are looking for, and it is for 2.1!
How to Install:
Make sure that your system is deodexed.
Flash using clockwork recovery. Or if you have the DX Keyboard installed already you can just replace the apk in /system/app.
Supported Device List
* Warning * This is not a guarantee that this keyboard will work for your device and am I in no way responsible for anything happening to your phone. By flashing these files you agree to take all responsibility. This is a list of phones that I have either tested the keyboard on or someone else has reported it as working.
Samsung Fascinate
X10
This should be fixed now with the updated clockwork file, thanks to imnuts.
If you end up getting FC errors delete LatinIME.apk and LatinIMEtutorial.apk in system/app.
Also try deleting cache/dalvik
Change Log
1.2:
- Redid naming convention for the zip files.
- Updated the clockwork files to delete latinime.apk thanks to imnuts.
- Added a screenshot of the smaller keys, Screenshot #2 and #6 (the keys are not any different in landscape).
1.1:
- Created a second version to mimic the actual size and spacing of the real Gingerbread KB
- Fixed a "&" fix that I had missed
1.0:
- Completely redid using new images and text colors from GB KB.
- Fixed the "&" sign from not displaying properly

Found a bug. The '&' character on the popup punctuation board shows up as '&' rather than the character itself. I can get a screenshot if needed.

I have the feeling that this may come up in users who have installed other keyboards. Anyone else have any thought on this
I know for the most part about opening framework.apk and swapping out the images and the XML files. What I can't seem to find is how to regenerate the resource file. I want to add the accurate battery mod to KB1. I'm not leaving it. I've gotten more than 24 hrs of battery out of it and it's working great with the stock+voodoo. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

the EASIEST way for you to accomplish what you want with minimal work is going to be, copy your framework-res.apk from /system/framework/ to your computer and use the UOT kitchen to generate what you want.

I'm a beginner at this, but if you can pull the /assets/keyboards folder out of the apk by using winrar or 7-zip, and you have something like photoshop or illustrator, etc, then you can go bonkers with the image files in there.
when you are done editing it then shove it back in the appropriate place in the apk.
Note that I am not on CM7, but I *think* it should be the same...?

Cool! Let me know if you have a way of changing the trace color. I've got that question posted in other threads, but while I'm doing my own reading, can't hurt to ask too many people, too.

Not sure what to tell you except that I modified a working swype from a custom rom and the theme stock after reboot.
Did you modify a beta swype directly? I'm not sure if that would even have been the problem, but had to ask.

I don't even know if this will work. For all I know it could mess things up, big warning there.
Could you try to move that to /system/app and rename as Swype.apk (if it hasn't been done already --- not even sure that's necessary)?
...or even better...grap the Swype.apk and libSwypeCore.so file from a working custom ROM and use those and drop your own keyboard images on that one. That's what I did and it works for sure.
EDIT: Gonna be slow in responding for a bit. Getting dragged out of the house to Home Depot. Uggghhhh.
In order to theme the swype tail, you need to decomplie the apk. Then you edit res/values/colors. You will see
color name="TRACE_PATH_COLOR">#xxxxxx</color>

If you downloaded Swype from the web page and installed it with their installer, then it'll be installed here:

Thanks a bunch! Looks to be working fine. Was it just one file you had to change? If so would I be able to copy the file to other themed dialers to change the spelling?
