I found that one to be very low-res :/
the best smartdialer i've tried is the one that is on Capyslide for the Magic. I used it when I used my HTC Magic. Was better than the standard, and the Hero one. it had the letters æøå in the T9 aswell and u didnt need to put a * for space. for the name Håvard I could simply type 428273 and for Lars Kristian I could just type Larskr(527757) and it would connect the name instantly. Dialer one I have to type 5277*57 for it to connect the name.

is there??
i'm using PDAC hebrew and i can look for contacts only by number..
it would have been very helpful if i could look for it by name...
anyone plz...
You can try program like Inesoft Phone
i prefer to use the original dialer if possible...

"For all of you that have smart dialing on there device you can now add support to more then English
as you know the smart dialing is looking for a name in English or sequence of digits (phone number)
a friend of mine developed an app to enable the support of Hebrew for the smart dial without using a 3part app on your device or look for a unique dialer"
I found this.
did u try it?

No, I don't speak Hebrew
Hi,
Does any know if there is a T9 onscreen application for sms on HTC DReam? I sms alot and the keyboard is driving me nuts!
Any help appreciated.
Better Keyboard has one (which I would really recommend, due to the skins). There's also a Big Keys T9 version.
Hey Jordanjay, Thank you for your help. I tried but when i clicked on the "open in market" icon, it shows that there were no matches in android market for the search.
Would you know what's wrong? Thanks alot.
What build are you on? The soft keyboards will only work with cupcake builds.
You could always try searching for 'T9' in the market, I found both of these applications via that search.
what do u mean by build? i tried searching the market but to no avail. pls help
Go to Settings > About Phone.
What is displayed under Firmware version?

Haven't had issues like that. You should email Better Android (the dev) about it.
I am looking for a better keyboard. If you have a download link, please welcome

Thanks a lot JerryBarcenas.
It works !!!!
out of curiousity... what is the reason for a 'better' keyboard and what do you define as a better keyboard?
In other words: Did you try one that you like more than HTC's keyboard, and what is it you like about it?
I apologize if this question I have is not explained to its best.
Last night.when typing on my keyboard the letters were not popping up when they were clicked. I liked it. When I turned my phone on this morning and when I'm using my keyboard now the letters pop up after they are clicked.
Is there a way to make it where the keyboard does not do this?
Any questons just ask

You're going to have to get a custom keyboard... most custom roms have options to disable the popup letters, but the stock one doesn't.
I've used Better Keyboard for a while, which isnt too great IMO. I was curious why no one has put newer android keyboards onto the Mytouch.
try droidx multi touch keyboard for mytouch
It depends on what kind of keyboard you want. Do you want to just tap out your words or do you want to slide your finger around to type?
I picked up the Droid x keyboard but am having no luck installing. I use Linda file manager and i make my way to /system/lib but it says folder is read only. I'm currently trying to root my Mytouch 3g with the OTA Froyo but having no luck using Superoneclick...keeps freezing at "waiting for device".
I wanted to use the defult htc keyboard. No offence goole but the.defult android kb sucks. Imo..using it rite now

If you want regular typing you'll have a hard time beating the stock, but I'm in love with slideIT (basically swype).
Just posted this elsewhere but I have always loved the HTC keyboard.

There you go.
To get it working, you have to first install it from your sd card then go to local & text or whatever it is in settings and check the touch input box. Then goto something that has a text box and touch-hold and it will say input method then select touch input.
Hope you like it.
Swype is ok.I'm using it right now the so is kind of stupid..btw is dvds at download for froyo? I recently upgraded.
