IMPORTANT: Make sure you have used Hard-SPL before flashing any ROM. I also recommend you to use Task 29 each time before flashing any ROM. Also note that this ROM will boot with the radio off. Turn it on via the Comm Manager.

Quick review
Ok, so far this ROM is uber fast!, I don't know what you did special but most WM6.5 ROMs with sense and CHT run considerably slower than this. Also the memory at first boot was very good with 91 mb free, which again I have never seen with Sense& CHT running. The only thing that I see that needs to change ( my opinion) is the signal bars could be larger. It was great to have CHT & the editor loaded at first boot. Thanks for your work!

Very clean rom. I agree it runs considerably faster than most roms with CHT and Sense running. My only strife is Lack of marketplace app and My Phone.
Though its not a deal breaker, Swype would be nice as well

Yes, I can confirm the phone number issue.
My first impressions of this ROM:
- Very fast. Very pleased with that;
- No bulky apps. Really pleased with that;
- I'm missing a battery remaining percentage, instead of a visual battery;
- The phone number issue. This is a very irritating bug, because I don't want to answer all incoming phone calls. Maybe this is a quick fix, else I have to revert to NRGz ROMs.
- I've installed Opera Mobile 10: It's a lot faster than the included version. Maybe you can cook it in the next release?
Maybe the Facebook tab is a welcome addition to this ROM or if someone has an easy way to install this (cab?)? I can understand that not everyone uses Facebook and that this ROM should be without too many apps.
I've setup the phone with the setting in my signature. I had to install PHM Regedit to add the SlideWakup value.
Keep up the good work. I really like this initial ROM.

I am also going to be monitoring this ROM, right now I want something that is simple and fast.
1st time that I am going to flash my tilt 2, and I just want something to speed my phone up.

As for the fix, here's a quickfix for you guys. Instructions:
Open arkswitch and go to processes (swipe your finger left).
Search for cprog.exe tap it and tap "Kill" (you might have to do this twice, until you don't see it in the list anymore).
Now run the cab attached.
Restart.
Enjoy!

Please ad latest swype. most roms have the older one i have cab if you like(its the latest to my knowledge)
other than that id love to flash the second release

Personally I can live without swype and myphone. And while I like marketplace it's easy enough to add so I don't think it needs to be added either.
I like how light and fast it is. I would just get the caller id fix in the next release and maybe remove Opera, since most people are going to install either mobile 10 or mini 5.
The home page for IE sucks, what about using the standard one?

Can you release a maxsense edition too please?

This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the Sony Xperia (X1) device.

The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs about twice a week, as new builds come down the pipe or as new software/updates are available.
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release
I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!
Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
A 21916 Build which is the most reliable and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner. This build uses the same stock system that came with your device. This is usually the fastest and most stable build, but it's also the least fancy

A 29022 Build that's the latest in Microsoft's development with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys, making it all very "finger friendly". These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. Most people choose this build... Why else would you install a custom ROM ?

This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.
The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions, Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)
You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.
The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed.
My own 'Energy' style
This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !

Dinik's "Anastasia"
This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
_LeCiel_'s ".sencity"
This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
.sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.

'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !
'Energy'
This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.
'Reference'
This ROM is mostly for people that want a close to stock ROM with the stock visual style. It's also perfect for doing your own customizations.
A lot of the cooked in apps are removed in this ROM, the Start menu back to the stock 3 row style
Sense and everything else is back to the default HTC green.
ROMs mostly created for enthusiasts...
MaxSense UI (android style homescreen)
This is a complete rewrite of the Sense homescreen, by maxycy.
It features a 3 screen, Android style, homescreen with widgets! The widgets can be placed ANYWHERE on the three screens.

Titanium (ROMs for raw speed!)
This is a minimal ROM version without Sense in it. It's used primarily for people that like to customize the default 6.5 homescreen (Titanium)
You can use it to install alternate homescreen interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, etc
Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...

ROM features at a glance:
Very fast startup time. You find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM.
XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.
My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.
Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, etc
The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting...

Q | I've just flashed Energy cookie home tab and the network operator is showing as Energy.
Just go into "CHTEditor > Miscellaneous settings > Other settings (all the way at the bottom)> Custom Operator text". If you want your network Name in there remove the default text so the box is empty

XDA_UC FAQ

The XDA_UC cooked in my ROMs is modified from the stock XDA_UC made by Noonski. Great addon, by the way... Noonski did a great job with this !
The version in my ROMs is trimmed down to fit the needs of my ROM series.
Some of the extra features are:
It will copy shortcuts (.lnk files) found in \XDA_UC\Start Menu\ to the device's start menu folder (\windows\Start Menu) in the hierarchy that it finds on the storage card. For example: Let's say you have a navigation package on the storage card, like Navigon. If you make a shortcut to the navigon.exe file as Navigon.lnk and copy it to \XDA_UC\Start Menu\GPS\ as "Navigon.lnk" then on a fresh ROM install it will copy any shortcuts it finds there to the same location on the device, so it'll end up in \Windows\Start Menu\GPS\. This works for other folders on the Start Menu as well. Just put the shortcuts in \xda_uc\Start Menu\ in the folders you will like the shortcuts to appear to, on the device.
It will copy a custom splash screen from \Storage Card\XDA_UC\welcomehead.192.png to \windows automatically and overwrite the one in the ROM.
It will copy a custom Sense background found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\wallpaper_sense.png to the device and set that wallpaper as default in Sense. So rename your wallpaper as "wallpaper_sense.png" and drop it in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\ and on the next ROM flash that wallpaper will become your wallpaper in Sense.
Other than that XDA_UC works as designed by Noonski and it will do the following things:
It will automatically import your PPCbackup (*.pib) file found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install custom XDAS scripts found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install CAB files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install special CAB files that require user input (such as Agreements or any type of prompt) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\SD
It will silently import REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\Exporter, as exported by my own Settings Exporter, ONLY if the "automatic" file is also present in that folder (and it most cases it should be, enable that option in the Settings Export application's menu)
It will silently import XML files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently import CER files (usually Exchange certificates) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently run custom MSCR files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
That's it, but don't forget to checkout the Addons folder and look in the XDA_UC section for tips and tutorials on how to export your email/wifi settings and various little .reg and tweaks you can add to your XDA_UC collection.
As always don't forget to check what installs automatically before reporting a problem with the ROM. Most of the time, if you notice you have a problem that nobody else is experience is because one of the cabs you dropped in the XDA_UC folder is installing automatically while you don't even think about it.

I've got the same, it looks awful and I had it in all 2.5 builds.

Great ROM! I have been using it for a couple of days, the only issue that I am having is somewhat unrelated to this particular ROM, but it appears that I am only having an issue with this one so I will ask.
What version of MSVC would work on this? I have 2 different versions and one won't install at all (gives an error - although works on my fuze w/energy's newest ROM), and the other occasionally locks up my phone (just the "phone" part of the pda) forcing a reset to make a call.

This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Touch HD (Blackstone) device.
The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs about twice a week, as new builds come down the pipe or as new software/updates are available.
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release
I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!
Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
A 21916 Build which is the most reliable and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner. This build uses the same stock system that came with your device. This is usually the fastest and most stable build, but it's also the least fancy

This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.
The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions, Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)
You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.
The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed.

This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features

This is just like the ROM above, but with a Christmas theme applied !
Dinik's "Anastasia"
This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
_LeCiel_'s ".sencity"
This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
.sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.

'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !
'Energy'
This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.
'Reference'
This ROM is mostly for people that want a close to stock ROM with the stock visual style. It's also perfect for doing your own customizations.
A lot of the cooked in apps are removed in this ROM, the Start menu back to the stock 3 row style
Sense and everything else is back to the default HTC green.

MaxSense UI (android style homescreen)
This is a complete rewrite of the Sense homescreen, by maxycy.
It features a 3 screen, Android style, homescreen with widgets! The widgets can be placed ANYWHERE on the three screens.

Titanium (ROMs for raw speed!)
This is a minimal ROM version without Sense in it. It's used primarily for people that like to customize the default 6.5 homescreen (Titanium)

Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...

ROM features at a glance:
Very fast startup time. You find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM.
XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.
My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.
Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, etc
The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting...

A: Start -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC -> Untick the "Enable Faster Data Synchronization" checkbox.
Make sure you're typing your data correctly, specially the server name. Alot of us (including myself) have been there before.
You may need to terminate the relationship between your phone & your PC, remove your settings from ActiveSync, hard reset, then reestablish the connection again.
Microsoft mentioned that some errors might be due to a recent faulty entry (contact, email attachment, appointment, ... etc). So, try to sync one item only (e.g., contacts). If it worked, you need to recheck your recently-added items & eliminate the faulty one.

XDA_UC FAQ

The XDA_UC cooked in my ROMs is modified from the stock XDA_UC made by Noonski. Great addon, by the way... Noonski did a great job with this !
The version in my ROMs is trimmed down to fit the needs of my ROM series.
Some of the extra features are:

Last EnergyROM i tried was buggy so hope this really hits home... HTC are really doing well with these homescreen animations...
I hate Twitter though and would really like a Facebook Tab... maybe something we will see in future releases by HTC>>????

UC is done by XDA_UC, its a nice concept, and is developed by this forum! My UC version is almost the same, except it runs with a click of the button. UC does not run on first boot anymore, have to run it manually! Less headaches this way.
If you want to use UC, then you have to do the following things!
Create a folder called "XDA_UC" in SD card.
Put in your PIM backup file, cabs, reg files, xml files
Goto Start, Utilities, Tweaks, and click XDA_UC.
Allow everything to install, and your phone will display a message asking for reboot, its upto you if you want to or not.
(Phone will not reboot by default, hence you have to manually reboot. Also you are free to use as usual when customization is taking place! Thats an added plus about this UC)

Closing an app - Long press on the X button. Configured through AMeBa. Change registry to made it do what you want.
Change themes easily by going to Utilities, Tweaks, Theme Select. Selecting an option changes both Manila Wallpaper and Windows themes. There are a total of 4 themes till now.
Autolight - Is included to increase battery life. Dont like the DIM screen, then change autolight settings under, Start, Tools, Autolight Configuration --> Stop Autolight.
Installed new theme for Manila? - No problem hit Re-Sense button under tweaks, and it will re-load Manila for you. You dont need to restart or manually disable and enable sense anymore.
Icons too small?
Install attached CAB and Soft Reset. Still have 4 icons in a row, but icons are a bit bigger than ROM original.
For Bigger 3 in a row Icons, install attached StartMenu_3 cab, and SR. Thanks to isangelous for cab.

Yes, he is, I've mostly been running his ROMs lately. The 12/31 upload just would not work. Apparently a lot of other people seemed to have some issues too.
On to this one, here are some issues I have found:
Frequent lockups. The touchscreen won't respond. Sometimes if I slide out the keyboard and slide it back or pull out the stylus it will work. It's almost like it is locked without actually going to the lock screen.
Caller ID is nonfunctional. I just get a white box where the name and numbers should be.
Had problems getting the data connection to work. It didn't seem to want to connect using 3G. Switching to EDGE and I was able to get it working.
QuickGPS wouldn't update. May have been related to the connection issue I just mentioned, I don't remember if I tried it for sure after I had it working.

I forgot to mention! ROM has touchprolock in it. Thats what the lock up is. It unlocks when you take the stylus out! Slide over the zoombar to unlock. Or tap three times in the middle of zoombar to unlock as well.
I will plan to release another version without touchlockpro.
I am looking into caller ID issue. I will release a fix once I find one..

One thing that is driving me crazy, is the fact that the backlight settings keep reverting to 50 and 50. I keep setting it to 90 100 (battery/external power) and a few seconds later they switch back to 50 50.
Ideas?

I found that it is the AutoLight program; not sure what it does exactly, but I disabled it

Caller ID is a killer of this ROM. Not sure what changed in the pkgs, it doesnt work anymore. So I have taken the link down, will release one when I fix this thing.
Yes autolight, keep the backlight down to save battery...you can disable it but checking autobacklight under power settings.

If you're looking for a TMobile USA compatible ROM, you found one!
This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Touch HD2 (Leo) device.
The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs every few days, as new builds come down the pipe.
I also build my ROMs with four main goals.
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release
I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!
Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
The 21916 Build which is the most reliable and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner! I recommend you start with this first!
The 29022 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.X series with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys. These builds are not as stable or perfect, but they reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. These are also much more finger friendly throughout.

This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.
The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions, Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)
You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.
The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed.
My own 'Energy' style
This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !

Dinik's "Anastasia"
This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
_LeCiel_'s ".sencity"
This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
.sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.

ROM features at a glance:
Very fast startup time. You won't find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM and ready to go. No need to spend time to set everything up.
XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.
My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.
Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, all options, etc
The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting, but still able to use a nicely skinned Sense text messaging app with "iphone style" messaging bubbles.

XDA_UC FAQ

The XDA_UC cooked in my ROMs is modified from the stock XDA_UC made by Noonski. Great addon, by the way... Noonski did a great job with this !
The version in my ROMs is trimmed down to fit the needs of my ROM series.
Some of the extra features are:
It will copy shortcuts (.lnk files) found in \XDA_UC\Start Menu\ to the device's start menu folder (\windows\Start Menu) in the hierarchy that it finds on the storage card. For example: Let's say you have a navigation package on the storage card, like Navigon. If you make a shortcut to the navigon.exe file as Navigon.lnk and copy it to \XDA_UC\Start Menu\GPS\ as "Navigon.lnk" then on a fresh ROM install it will copy any shortcuts it finds there to the same location on the device, so it'll end up in \Windows\Start Menu\GPS\. This works for other folders on the Start Menu as well. Just put the shortcuts in \xda_uc\Start Menu\ in the folders you will like the shortcuts to appear to, on the device.
It will copy a custom splash screen from \Storage Card\XDA_UC\welcomehead.192.png to \windows automatically and overwrite the one in the ROM.
It will copy a custom Sense background found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\wallpaper_sense.png to the device and set that wallpaper as default in Sense. So rename your wallpaper as "wallpaper_sense.png" and drop it in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\ and on the next ROM flash that wallpaper will become your wallpaper in Sense.
Other than that XDA_UC works as designed by Noonski and it will do the following things:
It will automatically import your PPCbackup (*.pib) file found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install custom XDAS scripts found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install CAB files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install special CAB files that require user input (such as Agreements or any type of prompt) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\SD
It will silently import REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\Exporter, as exported by my own Settings Exporter, ONLY if the "automatic" file is also present in that folder (and it most cases it should be, enable that option in the Settings Export application's menu)
It will silently import XML files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently import CER files (usually Exchange certificates) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently run custom MSCR files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
That's it, but don't forget to checkout the Addons folder and look in the XDA_UC section for tips and tutorials on how to export your email/wifi settings and various little .reg and tweaks you can add to your XDA_UC collection.
As always don't forget to check what installs automatically before reporting a problem with the ROM. Most of the time, if you notice you have a problem that nobody else is experience is because one of the cabs you dropped in the XDA_UC folder is installing automatically while you don't even think about it.

i am glad to see we have our own thread , thanx mr. nrg , will try not to pollute this thread . currently using the 21895 mar 26th max and very nice so far.

This was the first rom I tried, went to a few others, and went back. The eye candy and all the little extras are a nice touch.
Of note is battery drain is a bit excessive (as noted in the original thread). I'm losing 10% an hour and that is with very minimal use. I'm using cookie 23549. I did try 21895 but I didn't like it as much. Anybody think that will be better on battery life?
Thoughts?

Do you have any mirrors to your ROMs? I haven't been able to get a complete DL. It keeps cutting of in the middle and I'm very anxious to try them.

I had the same results. Just below the battery seemed to get really warm on 23549. So, I am going to try 21895 Cookie out for a day or two to see what happens.

For those of you with "warm" batteries for the 26th release, do this:
- Go into \Windows\StartUp and delete "MMTaskManagerhook.lnk" - this is a big savings according to NRG (reboot)
- Turn off your auto "weather" and "stock market" refresh
- Go into Start > Tools > Device Lock and uncheck "enabled" and "lock if playing music"
- Turn down your screen's brightness and/or put on "automatically adjust backlight" (this is a huge savings as well)
Using the "tbattery" app located in Start > Tools > tBattery, my temperature is around 26' C and the draw is around -150 to -160. At idle (suspend), it is around -4 to -5.

NRG good stuff man you always been a great rom developer. I have been using you since TP2.
I have one question though. why do you all(cooks) use opera 10. I love my pinch to zoom on 9.7 and see no reason why we need 10. Other than that your roms always are the best hands down.

what file and what does it do? (please say it increases my battery life )
And I just might have to try maxmanila when I get home if the battery is better. I love this rom, just not that I have about 5 hours left on my batter and I'm not even half way through the work day.

i just flashed this on my Touch HD2 and i would like to know if anyone can help me out. i set up the T-Mobile Setting for MMS i can receive but i cant Send any mms i used these settings:
Tap SMS \ MMS.
Tap Menu and select MMS Options.
Tap on the Servers tab
Tap New.
In the Server name: field, enter T-Mo MMS
In the Gateway: field, enter 216.155.165.50
In the Port number: field, enter 8080
In the Server address: field, enter http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Tap the Connect via: drop down list and select T-Mo MMS
Tap the WAP Version: drop down list and select WAP 2.0.
Tap Ok or Done
Tap and hold on T-Mo MMS and select Set As Default.

Could I please request that XDA_UC be replaced by good old plain UC in the next builds? I found that XDA-UC, when ran, eats all my XML files in the SD card, drinks all my beer, fraks my cat, and ends up passed out, naked, and covered in puke on the floor

you do not brick your phone.. maybe you just do not have the 1024 rom
have almost all the driver from 2.11 and enable extra ram...
anyway you can wait until someone try it.. or in 1-2 days have full sopport of 2.11

I promised in my first post to give this ROM a try, but that was before I noticed it was based on the 235xx branch.
I personally hate the "new" Start menu and shortcuts being at the bottom and stealing so much screen space. Give me the old 21xxx any day

I have had mine almost a month now. Am so loving this phone it is great. Have got this ROM installed now to load some stuff on here and put it through the paces!

I hate the 35xxx branches, due to the enlarged start menu and buttons at the bottom sucking up my precious screen space, however since the Chef was nice enough to also release a 21xxx build as well, that's what I grabbed and flashed a few minutes ago.
First off, as Chef Bob warns you in the first post, the initial bootup process is a little different from what you are used to. The beautiful "AthineOS extreme" screen seemed to switch negatively (black to white, white to black) and a bar appeared at the bottom. It filled all the way up slowly about 4 times as it ran the auto-configuration. Immediately afterwards, the phone reset itself and the usual Windows Setup options popped up.
I always link to my facebook, twitter and youtube on this screen, since it makes things simpler later.
First thing that grabs my attention is the lack of Swype. I've fallen in love with Swype lately and this was a bit of a disappointment, but I happen to know of a great forum where I can find a cab for it, so I wasn't too worried.
After the first boot, the phone detected my SIM card and offered to setup my connections as per usual. I agreed and it did a much better job than my old ROM (Energy), since it took care of the MMS settings. I just received an MMS a bit ago, so I can attest that it worked out of the box, which is nice.
The second thing that grabs my attention is the black background. I double-checked and yes, there are other backgrounds to choose from. I happen to like this one, so I'll leave it for now
There is no coOkie Home Tab or Max Manilla, because this build is about speed. You can of course install your own if you need to, but again I think I'll leave things alone for a bit.
I installed Shake to Save and grabbed a few dozen screens as I went along, to share with you fine folks This is the only app I installed before starting the screenshots. All other apps were pre-installed by the Chef.
I was concerned over the lack of a Bluetooth Manager icon in Start->Settings, but didn't have any problems locating the Bluetooth settings in the Settings tab (also under Connections Manager) and syncing to my favorite bluetooth headset. The phone also detected my Linux box and I synced with that as well (OBEX of course), though there are no screenshots for that.
I am expecting the Chef to follow his usual MO by continuing to tweak this build, but it's off to a great start. As you can see by my signature, this chef was my all-time favorite Kaiser chef and his releases were always top-notch.
I don't imagine him trying to compete with the chefs who have already established themselves here, due to the fact that he doesn't go for the latest eye-candy or RAM-sucking flashy apps, but I do see him carving out his own little niche as a solid performance master. His ROMs are always stable, fast and the latest possible builds direct from Microsoft.
I can't wait to see where he takes this new ROM!
