I own a nexus one, and after upgrading to gingerbread, some applications which are installed such as dolphin browser and soundhound are installed but are not listed as installed on the market and thus I don't get update notifications for them.
I tried to clear data on the market app to re sync the installed apps but it had been disabled on gingerbread
Can anyone shed some light please?
Thanks in advance,

Do they at least appear on the market?
Yes, I even re-installed the apps, still not showing in my apps though.

You might be able to use Titanium Backup's "Market Doctor" function to re-establish the application links to the Market, though I believe that requires root.
Give it some times, they'll probably come back on it's own.
If not use Market Doctor like suggested, that might or might not solve it.
It has happened to me here and there and usually fix itself.
Another thing you can try is download an app, any app (something free that can be delete afterward) and see if that bring the missing apps back.
In continuation to the minor problems with my new IS, the first being Bluetooth transfers restarting the phone, (here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071021);
another issue am having is with respect to apps in the my apps section of market which allows updated.
Since this is a new phone, i had some apps transferred from other handsets and installed, rather than downloading them all over again.
None of the apps are showing in market to update, not a single one!
i have read about this in other posts, where clearing the cache seems to solve the problem, but it does not help in my case.
any idea why this could be happening & any possible solutions?
The only solution i think is a firmware update...
Depending on the apps, they may not be compatible with 2.2, what are they?

Regular apps like astro, angry birds, barcode scanner.
just a few off the top of my head.
the apps do work, and if there is an update available, the app prompts for the same when opened.
however, in the last tab of market, which displays all the installed apps & those which have an update, not even a single app is shown except google maps...
Are you rooted?

could you be so kind to dump your build.prop?
it sounds it got fked on some way...
@dfd9999
Nope, no root, no changes what so ever.
Stock IS
@Hawkysoft
errr... could you kindly explain how i should do that?
Titanium Back up can fix market links… but I believe you have to be rooted for it to work but I may be wrong, its worth a shot!

just uninstall the last app you got from the market.
if the method from lgm_dev is not working:
try to clear data/cache from the market. Settings->apps->manage->(tab all)-> market and clear the data there
Index should be rebuilded when it is started again.
IncS is my first Android phone and i have just got Root access. But after i flashed a new Rom and log on to Android Market with my Google account, there is only the apps i have paied for, and not all the free apps i have downloaded befor the flash.
Is it realy only the paied apps it rembers?
Hi,
Almost all apps I have are missing from My apps on market, because I restored them via Titanium backup.
I can find all of them on market and they are marked as installed, but they still don't show up in My apps, which makes it impossible to update them.
Is there any way, besides reinstalling one by one (that would be really painful since I have about 100 of them), to bulk-add them back to market?
Go to settings, applications, manage application, all, market, clear history and cache. Should be job done.

That did it, thank you very much!
Hello, I'm from Serbia, on VIP Mobile, and recently (approx 2 months ago) our carrier added possibility to buy applications from Android Market ...
I've bought few apps, and suddenly paid apps disappeared from market totally
Only free apps are available on phone, and also on market.android.com ...
I couldn't even update apps I've already bought!
A friend of mine who is also on same carrier reported the same thing, so I thought rooting my phone will fix that, and it did, but only partially:
When using market enabler, I can now update apps I've purchased, and also download some free apps I couldn't before, also I can find and list paid apps, but when I click on the price button to buy it, it takes me to the "Accept & buy" screen, but with long "Prepairing.." label, followed by error message: "The item you were attempting to purchase could not be found."
Is there any fix for that ?
I really want to buy some apps (such as Mobile Odin and ScreenCast), but I'm not able to :S
Try buying from the desktop market and sending the downloads to your phone.

Also try clearing the data for the market app by going to settings>applications>manage applications>all>market.
Force stop first, clear cache, then clear data.
I had some apps installed showing not installed in the market recently and I can't update them so I cleared the data and it all went back to normal.

I said I can't open anything on market.android.com, when I search for stuff it doesn't show in results, and when I click on a direct link of some paid app, I get "This app is not compatible with your country" (or something like that)

Didn't help
I get the same error message ...
Okay, I've fixed my problem
I've tried clearing the data again, but also went on "Uninstall updates", which downgraded my market to old green-ish/yellow-ish version, and when I tried buying app using that one, it closed and reopened with new version (automatically updated), and now I'm able to buy stuff on market again !
I have the same problem, tried your method but I only get free apps. Are you using market enabler after uninstaling market updates and clearing data and cache? Also, what rom do you have?
I was using Tibu to try and unlink an app from the market. I kinda lept before I looked :banghead: and destroyed all my market links.
Now I can't see any apps purchased
or installed in my apps on the market.
I've tried market doctor in Tibu, flashing latest gapps, clearing cache. Also a complete reinstall of the ROM.
Any idea how I can get the market to see my apps again?.
Also I am logged in it notices my account.

Have you tried restoring your backups? That should bring back the market links unless you turned off that setting in the preferences. Also, have you tried downloading a free app? Sometimes that causes the market to "refresh" itself. I actually have the opposite problem where I can't get a market link to stay destroyed!
In Tibu, hit menu, market tools, market doctor.
Then go to settings, applications, manage applications, all, market, and clear data.
Then you open the market you'll have to accept the end user agreement again, and all should be golden
Tried the free app. Didn't work.
No joy with market doctor and clearing cache either.

My mistake it was data I cleared. Still can't see my apps. New old or paid.
I wonder if I install a different ROM would help?
