I recently updated my N1 to Froyo. I used:
- N1 Radio 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04 (Zip Version)
- eViL's Q&D HTC Sense v.09.7 - base 2.06
Everything is fine UNTIL i use my Display Off button (on top of the N1) After that i complete losing signal. The only way to regain the signal is via restarting the mobile...
i have no clue :-( ...can someone help...
Thanx in advance
Greetings from Ganderkesee/Germany

Yeah, I had other weird problems with this new radio. Try the other FroYo radio (http://www.androidspin.com/download...Official_Nexus1_Radio_Update_4.06.00.12_7.zip) Make sure to check this to make sure it is correct before flashing it: MD5: e49fb76877688e2c1f0fadcf8048c549
Enomther uploaded this radio image originally, flash this radio with your current ROM instead of the 5.08 radio.
See if that helps, both are 2.2 (FroYo) radios. If not report back, unless someone else has an idea.
I found that my network issue had something to do with the ROM (eViL's Q&D HTC Sense v.09.7) There was a network bug in some way, which has been fixed in the new version v.09.8.
Now everything works fine for me.
@vakman: thx for help!!

Why the heck does a custom rom I am using from this forum cause my Tilt to randomly loose signal? I am running L26 V9 and it happened with all of his ROMs. I hate the stock roms. I running the radio that is included with the ROM. Should I be using something different?
Radio is: 1.58.25.17
Please help me get this fixed.
Well a quick fix it to change roms
OR
flash a different radio
OR
you can discuss your problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403214
No matter what videos, my N1 can not play.
Even those captured by N1 itself. And if fact my N1 can play so many different types of videos before I have flashed so many different roms.....
Now I am using a Desire rom....I dont know whether it is the reason of my proble.
But even I flash to another rom, the situation is the same.
....HELP!! THANKS!
Have you just recently flashed a new kernel or radio? If so, there lays your answer...
Most likely cause is Froyo ROM it comes with new radio , Froyo radio doesn't get replaced when you flash other ROMs , as they don't come with any radio update.
You need to flash older radio -> Radio collection

You shouldn't have any troubles if you flash the radio and are on CM 5.0.8. Both radio images are for 2.2.

Now this is the part that I don't know. As I said above you should be fine to flash the radio image but I am not sure if you will have 720p, this radio may include something that allows this on 2.2, not sure yet, someone else will have to help with this question.
Hello,
can i upragde only the radio fw version ?some people are reporting better battery life with the new baseband fw. And if so, can i flash back the old "downrev" fw back, if i had problems ?
From :
Radio_13.45.55.24_3.35.15.31.zip - OLD, standard in 2.1 Roms
to
Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25.zip - NEW in Chinise Froyo 2
I currently have the unrbanded wwe version 1.25.405.1 installed.
This is something I too would be interested to know. I have tried to do some serching but this is the first case I can find regarding the new 2.2 radio from the chinese rom.
I am currently on Puzzlerom 7.3
Once the v8 rom / v8.0.1 is stable I will go to that. Unless we have ourselfs a 2.2 froyo rom out before that. As I use my phone in a variety of ways and in multipule situations, I cant go without it for very long. 2 hrs at a time max.
Hope to be able to test things though ^_^
Peace
Just Made the update trough recovery .now iam running at the 2.1 Rom with the new radio firmware active from the new android 2.2 chinese rom. Actually I see no problems at all

All components are working fine (gsm/umts,wlan,gps and bluetooth).
Only the frst Time GPS FIX takes a bit longer after update.
Also, the battery life seems to be a bit longer and the handy seems
to be more stable during calls with active data connections.
Radio Updater:
GB 2.3.3 Radio Updater [MediaFire] - Radio233Update.zip

i have for one successfully flashed the i9023xxkb3 radio on my phone ( amoled i9020) with odin from here

I REPEAT: i HAVE FLASHED ONLY THE RADIO (for others reading). the name reads i9023xxkb3 but after flashing on my phone , it correctly displays i9020xxkb3 in settings under baseband.

Thanks, works fine.
Anyone notice any differences?
I assume this radio can be flashed to be used on a 2.3.2 ROM?

Yes it can be flashed on 2.3.2. Too early to tell but nothing has exploded yet so that's always a good sign.
after flashing the radio(it flashed fine. much faster then flashing a radio on the N1) i noticed it connected to the network much faster than the old one. also, in the location im at now, data speed more than doubled! it went from 2.5mbps to nearly 6! i hope its that way when i get home too
i flashed it over the latest cm7 kang without any issue.
Thanks for this. Working nicely with CM7.
Seems reception is a little better.
Just curious what's MD5?

It's a hash function to check if the download is intact. A broken download can brick your phone.
Not checking MD5 is like going raw with a chick you picked up at a bar.
Nice to have

The new radio is awesome, I actually get reception in my apartment that's halfway below ground(on a hill), that I never got before. Almost no need for Wi-Fi Calling anymore. Scratch one problem with the phone off my list.
New radio is great. Bluetooth connection is now flawless whereas before it would always drop the media connection to my stereo (I assume the baseband governs the bluetooth radio as well?).
By the way, does anyone have the old radio .zip for 2.3.1? I downgraded to 2.3.1 to get the OTA update to 2.3.3 rather than the update.zip from the forum (in case the yellowy screen was a fault of a flawed update) and now i can't get the OTA because i still have the 2.3.3 baseband (i assume this is the reason i can't get the 2.3.2 OTA being as it has always been available when i was on 2.3.1 in the past.
Thanks in advance.
new radio works great .. i get better speed.. much better upload speed..... nexus always rules...
I feel like the wifi connects faster.
