Hi guys
Earlier today I was looking for a ROM for my Legend and I noticed a topic with an almost stock Sense ROM with A2SD+ option. I went down and bought a microSD 8 GB Class 4, but when I came back - the topic was nowhere to be found
If you are the topic/ROM creator, why did you remove it?
EDIT: Found it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734887

devs have free'd up alot of mem with their roms, that's why the stock rom has so much less
Stock Rom comes with a limited kernel. Check if you reverted back to 2.6.29... Cyanogen and Desire roms are 2.6.32 or higher depending on which version you run.
the stock kernel does not take advatage of all RAM, missses out on 1/2 of the 512megs or so

The HTC Sense ROM is pretty big, larger than the non-sense version. Once you install the Desire Rom you need to reboot it and that will free up a lot more ram.
let me give you a quick solution which has root included.
go give modaco's superboot himen option a try. but beware, once you flash the himen kernel, you will need to reflash to stock before you can mess around with the customized kernels posted here.
Moved too Q&A
Just got the new 2.2 ROM installed via OTA... love running a hardware review site!
I've got stuff such as Flash working right now (There's some great threads right here to help with that, just search for it).
However, I'm trying to figure out if a few other rumored features have been enabled yet or not in the "official" ROM.
- Color trackball?
- FM Radio?
- I see options to SD storage, but its grayed out. Do I need to partition my SD card like when I used apps2SD on my G1?
Update
For anyone looking at more information for the "official" app storage on SD in Android 2.2, take a look at the developer guide. (I'd post a link, but I'm too new)
Looks like your apps have to have the "External" part coded in.
i dont think you need a partition for Apps2SD, remember that Apps that require root access cant be moved to the SD and im guessing that the apps need to be readied to be moved.. and for FM..i dont think its in the update i could be wrong.

U dont have to do anything for the Multitouch patch, it will be pre-loaded. Not sure whether 2.2 will be pre-loaded or not
This is the development thread respect the rules, ask to get this moved to Q & A
i was fooling around at Desire dev threads, where is found this

as a nexus one owner really i'm jealous that non dev phone gets cool rom than we can easily have.
Can any one port this rom to our beloved nexus?
Yeap, it's right here. Link
There is alot more variety of roms in the desire dev section, this is probably because its a more popular phone and just as easily modded like the n1.
Even CM7 is more stable on desire, no wonk etc...
The sense roms are more feature complete and stable as well.
The time is soon where the N1 would have to be given up for people who needs these ROMS. Nobody will support it after awhile ):

Hey People
This is my first post in the X8 section, so hello to all... I have been following this section since I got my X8 about three weeks ago. Before that I had a HTC Wildfire, which is another brilliant phone, but the lack of GPU finally got to me Since then I came here I have unlocked my bootloader, rooted it, and tried out loads of ROMS thanks to the amazing community here. Extra special thanks to Naa for his miniCM ROM. I have tried out MiniCM9, which is great, but I am waiting for the camera to be fixed before I use it as a daily. Anyway, on with the question...
What happened to the ishakira ROM? I downloaded it and I think it's great. I know it was another soft-modded MiniCM, but I really like the SE look. I was looking forward to it being updated because I noticed a few bugs, but when I went to find the thread it had gone.
Was there some kind of infraction by the dev?
maybe its deleted by the mod becouse its a themed rom.
yeah it is removed...read the warning given by colossus in dev section
I've asked a similar question before, but this question is a bit different
I've got the HTC Tattoo and the Google Nexus One, and I primarily use the Nexus One, due to better processors, resolution, et cetera. And therefore I want a good rom for the phone, so it's more usefull for me. I've got the newest Cyanogen mod (7.2), but I was wondering if there was any good 4.0 (or higher) Jellybean or Gingerbread (Jellybean prefered) roms out there, that doesn't require resizing the partition. If not, any good 2.3 (or higher) roms were out there? I'm just looking for the best to suit my phone, and I really like the Nexus One.
Thanks in advance
P.S. Sorry for bad English, it isn't my native language, and I'm kind of tired, so there's probably a lot of errors
i can try
Evervolv Jellybean http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762790 ( base of all JB roms for N1)
or QND MIUI GB http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1084726
or MIUI JB from MIUI.us
+1 for Evervolv Jellybean. You'll need a fast sdcard if you have a lot of apps and want it to be useful tho. Set up isn't as straight forward as Gingerbread ROMs so make sure you have lots of time to go through the setup process.

Agreed. I installed an Evervolv JB 4.1.2 on my N1 and quickly noticed performance suffer on account of use of a2sd and storage of the apps and app data on the SD card - which, for the N1 + JB, you really cannot avoid.
I just ordered a UHS-1 Sandisk Ultra MicroSD card, which should help immensely.
ROM which can be considered Most complete GB ROM
