Hi all, i have a quick question i need answering .
right, i've been searching all over the place for navbars, or rosies, or launchers etc, that arn't Launcher Pro or any other third party app. NOw i've nothing 2 threads in this section fo the forum, which make the standard 2.1 rom navbar slightly transparent. Not what i want to do is totally remake the navbar myself on photoshop etc. But i have no clue whatsoever how to do this, could anyone give me a quick, but simple step by step instruction on how to do this.
I've looked at 'how to theme' posts and threads but its all way over my head, as all i want to do is replace some of the image files for my own.
Thanks in advance, remember im a noob!!

Hey guys...Another Noob question here...So I have searched the forums and so far really couldnt find what i was looking for (maybe i missed something or didnt look hard enough ) But i am curious if someone has made a transparent notification bar for the CM7 RC that is flashable through Clockwork? Also I am curious if there is a way to make the Beautiful Widgets weather display Vertical instead of horizontal? Maybe you can with Launcher Pro Plus?? Just some things I was really curious about..Thanks for taking the time in reading this and any help or leading in the right direction is always greatly appreciated
Hey guys,
for the last few days, I've been looking at what other guys "did" to their HD2s and I really liked it, for example this one or this one
Now I've read, that many ppl are using the MIUI builds. I am currently using the HyperDroid-CM7-v2.1.0 Rom - here comes my question:
Can I use themes/lockscreens/etc. , that were made for MIUI ROMs, for my current Rom too?
Is there a thread that explains all the processes concerning changing the style of one's own HD2? I'm a lil bit confused atm because I don't know how to use all the stuff that is offered here

Can you use themes and lock screens that were made for MIUI on your HyperDroid?
No, you can't.
But hey, you can do more than that. For lockscreen, lookup (WidgetLocker Lockscreen) in market,, it is very customizable.
Also try different Launchers such as "LauncherPro" or "ADW Launcher EX" .. they have a pile of customizations..
You could also set your style using your CM7 Theme Chooser, it's fantastic.
If the above is still not enough for you, you can give morphs a shot ..
Always remember, wear a helmet and do a nandroid backup
Thx for your answer
Is there another app like WidgetLocker, which is for free? I've read that you can use Desktop Vizualizer to change the lockscreen..but I don't have a clue how^^
You can use morphs for lockscreen, they are free.
(P.S. WidgetLocker worths its cost)
Sorry to bother you, but where can I get those morphs and how can I use them? I'm really just getting used to all the terms and I am a little bit overwhelmed
morphs are like themes. I can't find what will suit you .
But here are a few tips:
*Download MetaMorph From Market to use Morphs.
*Always do a Nandroid backup before installation.
*Not all morphs are compatible with our beloved HD2.
*Morphs modifies System files, so MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP.
*Here is a Head start for you: Link 1 - Link 2 - Link 3. (Link 3 is a How-to)
And always remember, do a nandroid backup
Question Icon Replacement Guide
posted this in q&a- but had no response
Hi guys Im looking for guidance, I know it's possible to break open an apk file, find the .png being used for the icon and replace it with another .png. Hi,
what's in your mind? Do you want a single APK that overwrite every .png files?
Do you wanna change the icon time by time?
I can't understand!!!
In any case, if u wanna get custom icons and replace them, u can use as WORGERM wrote, desktop visualizer.
A very easy app that allows you to insert custom widgets on homescreen (u can choose how big they have to do 1x1 2x1 3x1 etc) and the possibility to change the icon (choose it from your SD card) and the application to start when click on the icon.
To get the specific icons for replacement, i sugget you to use Photoshop.
I hope to help you with this post.
Bye
You can try this .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=927405
thanks for the responses guys, looking at individual apk, .png replacement and possible dock and probably apk icon pack edits
hi every body!
I'm new on this web site. I'm french, so excuse me for my poor english, i'm trying as i can...
I just want to ask if someone here can do a simple transparent theme please?
I've looked in the other topics, but never find what i'm exactly looking for...
I'm running cm7 on a milestone... i've tried several times to install theme, but several time the same ting, i put it on the root of my sd and i can't apply it... the only way for me to apply themes is by theme chooser...
So if someone can do a simple transparent theme, using theme chooser, it would be very very nice!!!
I'm looking for everything semi transparent, like for the dialer, the settings menu... but above all, a status bar totally transparent!
I'm a real "quiche" (as we say in french ;-)) concerning computers, and new technologies in general so please, if you have a solution, help me by a step by step.
Thanks a lot in advance for those who'll read and help me!
Hello, excuse me if I post this in the wrong section I am new to this forum.
I would like to know some things about the advanced modifying of GoLauncher themes, or basically android themes in general.
Is there any way to edit the dock on the home screen of a theme to place it somewhere else on the screen and have the ability to make it slide out or pop up from somewhere? I know how to do the graphical side of this but I need a little push in the right way for the programming bit. I do know how to decompile, compile and sign apk files.
Thanks in advance,
