Can anybody tell me if this possible? I am using nfinitefx's stock .6 deodexed Rom but I noticed a ton of the internal memory is already taken up (I just flashed that's why I want to revert) so I am wondering if its possible to enable jit on the stock rom. Any help is greatly appreciated

I am looking for a stock Froyo ROM for the i9000, what is just deodexed (so no further mods, nor rooting, or anything else, JUST the deodexing). Could someone help me?
I've tried deodexing myself, but I could not do it, some (many) of the files remains odexed even after adding all the framework elements.
My stock Captivate with 2.1 was frustrating to use with it's lag. I rooted and applied One Click Lag Fix which really improved the performance.
I'm planning to remove the One Click Lag Fix and unroot the phone before applying the 2.2 upgrade.
Two questions...
1) Will I need the One Click Lag Fix after the 2.2 upgrade (or have they fixed the way memory was configured)?
2) Would a factory reset (before or after) make the upgrade smoother or more predictable?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
Should not be using one click lag fix.
2.2 still uses rfs, I would suggest looking into voodoo kernel if you find 2.2 to be laggy

Look in Android Development subforum here. You'll find custom kernels to do what you want.
eg. SpeedMOD, FuguMOD, etc.
which one do you prefer for the JV6?
Just want to know you opinion

Click to collapse
Today's GB rom is smooth enough, no lagfix is needed.
If you need ext4, the famous Voodoo or Speedmod also is the solution for you.
19000ZSJV6 root Please??
i am on an official 2.3.3 JV6 rom
how i want to root my i9000..
can anyone pls help me..
I've tried many ways but still cannot rooted
Sorry if similar to this has been posted before but i can't find it!
I am running stock I9000XXJVQ rooted with cf-root then latest speedmod kernel installed and i am running touchwiz4.
I would like the asop lockscreen and the extended power menu.
Can this be done on a rooted odexed rom or must it be de-odexed?
Forgive my ignorance but i am a bit of a newby on this device.
If this can be achieved, could some kind soul instruct me or point me in the right direction please?
I tried the same, these patches change framework(library) files, therefore they cause some problems like browser lag etc. I'd rather stay away. Stock untouched JVQ works like a rock.
Hey guys.
Just wondering which is the best Kernel to flash onto Stock Froyo (2.2)
Appreciate your help
P.S. I prefer speed over anything else!
You can go for speedmod froyo - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822756
Sounds good
But if I ever need to, how do you restore the old kernel?
