I can't seem to find anything about the problem i am having with my X1...
Everyone on the form has problems with the touch screen , and a lot have problems where they are unable to do multiple item selection in the file browser or message inbox...
Here is my problem , it seems that my X1 is alway doing a multiple selection in those areas.
eg 1. When opening the File Browser, i can't enter(brows into) a directory by taping on it, but if i tap on more than one directory , everyone i tap on is selected(highlighted)...
eg 2. When i am in the (TEXT)message inbox and i tap on a new message , it simply highlights the message , it doesn't "view" the message, if i tap on more than one message it highlights all that i tap on...
its as if my X1 is on multiple selection all the time, everything else is fine, but this is driving me mad...
is there some test app i can run to indicate activity on the touch screen to see if it is active and what type of touch gestures it is receiving...
or if any of you have any other explanation or hints to what may be wrong

This has just started recently... but I've made so many changes, I'm not sure which one affected it. When typing a new or replying to a SMS or email, occasionally (key word there) the letters that I'm typing won't show up. The cursor moves - and if/when I send it, all the letters I've typed will send. Also if I save it as a draft, then re-open it, it shows everything... then I can type a few more letters, and it blanks out again. Any suggestions or help as to what this is? It's only in the message entry part of the screen; I can still see the start menu and bottom menu bars.

If it is only happening in Landscape mode then turn of ClearType font. Cleartype font no longer displays correctly in WM 6.1 in landscape mode. There is a setting in KaiserTweaks that says it will but it only forces something and makes it so text does not display at all.
it's happening in both modes... and cleartype isn't enabled - nor is it in KaiserTweaks. any other suggestions?
its a long shot, but the keyboard hardware speed up cab here might tweak somthing to make it work, its a long shot but it sounds like to me a glitch in the reg....

This is also happening to me. I installed a couple of programs recently including the HTC update to fix the backlight issue, Pocket Sudoku, The RR Keyboard Speed increase cab, Raisak's Flatbar black, and Pocket RAR. Did you install any of these recently?
I did install the RR keyboard - but none of the others and I haven't done the backlight fix. My messages were lagging bigtime - not the stereotypical missing the occasional letter because I type too fast, but I'd click on new sms and it'd literally take 30 seconds or longer to open. I don't know that i've fixed it but I disabled HTC home and HTC homeplugin and then ran the RR keyboard cab, then enabled the HTC apps. I haven't been able to make it mess up again...yet.
*edit* its still having issues. But I can't figure out why sometimes it works just fine and others I literally have to soft reset it to get it to respond.

Yesterday I installed few games and some applications so I don’t know which of them may cause the problem. List of application I currently have is:
The problem is that after tap or pres on Start menu 3 times, start menu expand like there is 50 apps. on the list. Basically first 7 of them are the same, but after the line another 50 is audio manager and notes repeating 25 times on list. Background of start menu becomes white so names of applications are not readable until I scroll over, when color is back, and white letters are visible again.
It happens all the time, I tried to set all themes, buttons etc. to default but problem occurs.
Any help?

Did you add anything with + in the Title, like Slither's C++ Cube?
If so, just rename the item in the \Windows\Start Menu folder and the clear your recent programs list.

I have the Topaz(Diamond 2) and is the first phone with the TouchFlo 3D interface (my last phone was an XDA Orbit 2)
One of the things that infuriates me, is when using the swipe gesture to scroll through SMS/email messages.
On the SMS screen, to read the second most recent message, swiping your finger up the screen selects the next oldest message. However, on the email page, to read the second most recent email you have to swipe your finger DOWN the screen. On top of that, if you are reading the most recent email message (on the 'preview/envelope screen) and accidentally swipe up, it opens the email.
This is bugging the hell out of me. I want consistency dammit!!!!
Is there a reg hack or some other way of making them both up/down?!??!?!

I'm using HTC Diamond 1
I just installed, Resco Keyboard 6.0, it seems working nice.. except a big problem: I can't set/modify any options (Main Language, Secondary Language Global parameters, default skin...).
In fact, when I go to the Options screen and tap on a Option Item, I get I little circle at the point that I tap, but nothing else happens (no sub-screen setting) even tapping many time on the same item (at diffeent places).
I'll appreciate any help

My Note has developed an infuriating fault which only happens in notepad apps, which is: I touch the screen in an notepad file and the QWERTY keyboard appears. All good. But when I start to type, although the cursor moves (sometimes to the right, often down a line or two or three first and then to the right) no text appears on screen. However, when I then exit the QWERTY keyboard, the text miraculously appears. This has only started recently and I'm very keen to get to the bottom of it. My notepad of choice is "Note Everything", but I've now duplicated the problem in two other notepad apps. Can anyone please offer any suggestions as to what might be going on here? Many thanks.
