Have you check the "Settings->Connection->Beam" checkbox!!! It must be activate...

if this bar use XP you can avoid it easly. I disabled it in school and merged all long SBS into my server it's sad that it got detected :<
Don't forget to check 'Receive all incoming beams', you should turn it ON!
Also
COM2 is detected by default by novii
COM3 should be irda
To change it, go manual detection and it will say you, that com3 is irda.

I have a stupid question.nf3.5 takes up 5M Rom memory,isn't that enough to have the "sliding IE" inside?is there no 6.5 rom has collected IE 6 sliding inside?Pity himalya has a litlle Rom size......

IE6o6 weight AMAZING 8 MEGABYTES, and is uncompressable. Net.cf is better solution.
Also opera mobile 10 is now for free, it worked great before I lost my hima.

I've got an idea How about making a stylus-gesture application for the today screen? Something like Firefox's mouse gestures but for launching programs, new sms or anything else. Maybe in conjunction with a button press for avoiding accidental launches.

I have tried several softwares including PocketWakeUp, none of them can fully handle the "wake up from the standby" issue. They might work many days and then...boom.
Any idea has any ROM update solution for this? I'm Running latest official WWE ROM on Qtek 9100.

I one time had a problem with PocketWakeUp, install it to Main Memory and your problems will be over (at least with me that was the deal).

Maybe a stand-alone program that shows you your network connection info such as IP address, wap name/speed, network activity level on the today screen? I saw this once but it was bundled inside another pay app.

How are you trying to switch it on?
There is a bug with the wifi that stops the comm manager from working after a restart. The workaround to get it working is to turn the wifi on and off from the winreless lan panel under settings -> connections. Once you do that, the comm manager will work.
BTW, the ROM you installed was released some time ago. Helmi's release was excellent, but it was one of the first. There are newer ROM's available, made from newer builds of WM6 and 6.1

Can't really say which one you should install, each one has it's pros and cons and personal preference also plays a role.
Look at the xda-developers > Blue Angel > Blue Angel Mobile 6 forum. There are four different ROM's near the top of the forum. Check the threads on each one to get a feel for them and give them a try.

I love games, and i was disappointed when quake 1 and 2 and duke nukem didnt work on the recent wm6.1 roms. I may have to revert back to Dutty's April 29th rom.
I didnt bother trying any other games, i was too disapointed, lol.
basically what happens is I launch my game or program and it exits itself and gives me one of those errors when i can send the report to microsoft.
just expanded to the quoted list, it would help me and other people in the decision to stick with wm6.1 or just stay at a previous rom

lol this didnt exactly make it as far as i hoped..
im pretty sure there is more that isnt compatible with WM6.1 than just a few games. Ok ill add another thing to the list, i know that Assisted GPS isnt compatible, making all GPS non-compatible, so you must disable it in KaiserTweak or AdvancedConfig.

since i upgraded to the diamond wm6.1, so i went back to dutty's april 29th rom and it works fine now.
iGo and Eyron Hebrew support both don't work on the OEM HTC 6.1
I've tried both diamond wm6.1 and OEM HTC WM 6.1 update. Some programs just don't like this WM 6.1 for some reason.
iGo and Eyron Hebrew support both don't work. Eyron doesn't even install. iGo needs some special tweaks and HTC home deactivation.
The only version of WM 6.1 that works flawlessly for me is the Dutty's April 29th hybrid ROM.
Just thought I'd do a poll to see what ROM people are using...

Sure your Rom is very good. I in particular love the Snapvue interface guess coz it contains the all too familiar snapvue that i have been using since purchase of Shift. The only reason why I will flush this Rom is when BT headset connectivity becomes available. Unless of coz SD comes first. Or maybe Wi-fi...... Oh well, never mind - I would jump at wired headset functionality for now. Anyone??????

Check the last two questions in post #3 on my ROM thread. They may help for locality settings and to free up RAM.
Also it does not come with Opera as I just use the Windows mobile side for surfing ... but it does work with Opera and you can download it on the forums

Interestingly so far I am the only one uses thaihugo's. I voted for thaihugu+GPS. I have not tried the phone version yet. I like that because, it never failed on me until now atleast. I tried gullum, pli, yours and udk's apart from my own cooked, of course they also have not failed on me. But I reverted back because I felt some kind of religious ;-), that was the first ROM that came out of HTC's jail. Until I get the headset functionality fully incorporated, I wouldn't use the phone, so I reverted back to the first custom ROM. I am currently working on it, but can't guarantee it though.

Welcome back snapvue, old friend. I'm also using it on Thaihugo's shift age of reason ROM.
EDIT
After installing snapvue AND THEN unticking all items but snapvue in settings>today>items, I had performance issues (freezes).
So I would recommend NOT changing the settings>today>items checkboxes.

I had the same problem after installing snapvue alone. I am positive this problem is down to an individual hardware defect in my Shift. Shame because I love the Snapvue screen.

I ask because since installing Snapvue and unticking the other settings>today>items I have had performance issues (freezes).
What's more, uninstalling Snapvue and re-ticking the settings>today>items does not bring back the old today screen as it was.
So I'll change my previous post to recommend NOT unticking the settings>today>items after installing snapvue.
I just reboot and havent any performance problem. Like snapvue as today item too

That's good to know. I think my Shift has a minor hardware problem on the WM, evident by the occasional corrupt 'chequered' screen freeze. This snapvue cab seems to excersise my Shift's hardware defect so I'll have to continue without my favourite today screem of Snapvue for the time being.
