Does anyone have a clue why when playing music with btunes, after my screen goes to standby it wont play next track in playlist until I unlock it or at least press power button. All other music players work fine but I like this one the most.
I have already tried setting higher cpu values in overclock widget and even removing it.
I've experienced the same using "3 - aka cubed" on stock 1.5. Flashing VillainRom12 solved it for me.
Anyone else having Kimera 2.1 with oc kernel experiencing any issues with btunes?

Hi Guys,
I do have a really strange problem with my Galaxy S i9000. It randomly plays music by itself without opening any player. I can never know when it starts and even if I kill all tasks and most of the services (all I can) it won't stop. If I open the player it does not show any active playback. I can stop the playback if I slide down the upper status bar. I also can adjust the playback volume normally but it is very loud even on the lowest level.
In fact, it is always the same song (no mp3, it's a FLAC) which is located here:
/mnt/sdcard/external_sd/MP3/Paul Kalkbrenner...Berlin_Calling(FLAC)/14...
Some guys in a Moto Droid Forum already experienced the same problem with 2.1:
hXXp://androidforums.com/motorola-milestone/64497-music-playing-itself.html
I have no idea what I can do. I did not test/hack a lot and the phone is set up pretty fresh and clean.
Froyo 2.2 (JP6) flashed with Kies RegHack
Root done with ]SuperOneClick v1.5
OCLF V2+
All installed Apps are major ones and well know. So nothing special, spectacular or risky. Does anybody know what the root cause of the problem could be?
I do hope there are some ideas what I could do. Of course I could uninstall the built in player, move or delete the file but that wouldn't be a "real" solution or explain what happens. Please help! Thank you.
Best regards,
DvP
related issue
weirdly enough I had a variant of this until very recently, when it just suddenly stopped happening.
In my case, the music player would repeatedly restart itself, although it wouldn't actually be playing a track. By repeatedly I mean every time I picked the phone up I'd check running apps and find the music player there. This was on a brand new, completely un-tampered-with phone.
I went to JPM via Odin recently and rooted the phone and then the behaviour stopped.
Is there any way how I can find out which process is playing the music? I could try to make a video when the song runs again to show that no application is running at all if that helps :-/
Hi!
Well, I've done some "experiments" with ROMS and kernels and I always have the same problem: when I play a song in the music app, and then the phone shuts down the screen (it gets blocked), the music instantly freezes and then i have to force reset the mobilephone with the power button.
I have tested it with the Vodoo and Speedmod latest kernels.
I also have used both with the Criskelo and Juwe ROMs.
Is it problem of the kernel o from the ROMs?
Thanks a lot!
hi,
It's rom related, but what exactly is wrong, i have no idea.
When you use the default music app, when you shut down the screen while playing any song, the music freezes during the song and also the phone. If you try then to set on the screen again, you can't. You can only reset with the power button.
If you try it with the original//official rom, you still hear the music and doesn't freeze.
Have you tried with 3rd party players? I prefer doubletwist over the standard music app. It's free and you can get it from the market.
I'm running Doc's ROM with DamianGTO's kernel and doubletwist and I've went out for a walk of almost 3 hours listening to music and no freezes, no lag, no glitches at all. Even battery drain was fair enough, like 10% drop for the whole time.
Ok, thanks a lot both, I'll give it a try to this app you say. However, I've tested another ROM and it works smoothly!
All solved!
when I play any music and i have the screen off, sometime the music would lag randomly... I tried setting it to 1000 MHZ using setcpu, and tried killing all the apps but it wont make any difference.
This has happened with every music player and rom that i have tried...
Anyone know how to fix this issue?
thanks in advanced
What lagfix are you using? The only time this ever happened with me was with OneClick Lagfix.
I'm not using any lagfix at all.
I'm on darky 9.5 and I don't think I can use any lagfix so I don't have any.

I recently moved to serendipity and is using the poweramp player. But the music still lags...
Anyone know how to solve the problem?

I have CPU spy installed, and checked from there. My phone is on 100MHz when I have song on and in screen off state. With no songs and screen off, its in "sleep" state. So 1000 is simply waste of battery.
Do NOT use SetCPU. This is known to cause issues in 2.2 and higher versions of android.
Try disabling and re-enabling lagfix n see if that helps.
I have gotten rid of setcpu and
disabled and enabled lagfix and it works perfectly now!!! Thanks!

Hi all,
Has anyone seen a gb rom that plays or can be tweaked to play video past the 70min mark? This is a rather big thing for me, as I often take trips and like to watch movies on the plane.
I've been able to get CM6.1 and most 2.2 roms going with collin_ph's battery tweak that enables the stagefright audio. However, this doesn't seem to work with any gb rom I've tried:
CM7
aospCMod
OMGB
Deck
Evervolve
And I really like these gb roms...esp aospCMod!
Any help is greatly appreciated!
are you talking about your battery just dieing or it literally wont go past 70 minutes ive never had that issue when i was on the hero.
Are you talking about your screen freezing? Most gb roms (CM7 specifically) always had minor media issues for me. Music, videos, Pandora app etc. all freeze or skip after a while. Try using that new Wildheroc sense rom, I've had much better media performance from it versus CM7

to fix the freezing just set your cpu to anything over 352 low.
This is the issue with videos over 70 mins where the video freezes and the sound keeps playing. After a while the video jumps back to about the 10-15 minute mark, but the sound is still off from where the video is.
It was discussed briefly in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864403 for a while starting at #14691, but I never saw a resolution.
This was fixed in 2.2 with the enable stagefright fix in collin_ph's battery tweak, and you could evidently do it manually by altering the stagefright line in build.prop, but when I looked at the build.prop on a couple of GB roms there was no line, and inserting a line brought no joy.
I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything, I've been searching for days and days and actually see very little on this issue. Guess not everyone watches full-length movies like me.

I actually had mine set at 352 ondemand, to help with the camera issues, but it never helped long video playback. Thanks though!

Yeah, I tried Wildheroc out for a while, but I just love the simplicity of Aosp and my LPP. I may try going back to sense though cause this is just that important to me. If I do, I may throw down on the v6 supercharger tweaks and see how that does.
Hi!
I'm having the problem that my girlfriend's Nexus One often freezes. It was on stock Android 2.3.6 as well as on MIUI and now CM 7.2.
It often happens when playing music (especially Rdio and Spotify), but from time to time even when doing nothing.
If I remember correctly, most of the time it simply doesn't switch on the display anymore. The softkeys light up, but the display doesn't. Any music etc. stops playing. You need to pull the battery.
To me it seems like it's a kernel-issue or maybe even a CPU-issue. Would it maybe help to flash a custom kernel and slightly raise the CPU-voltages (even though that would consume a little more power)?
Maybe someone got an idea
