[REQUEST] If you have never rooted your phone, please help...

During some testing while working on 2nd init, we came across a problem that can only be fixed by someone who has NEVER rooted their DROID 3 before. Even if you unrooted, the signature changes and that doesn't help me.
If you have never rooted your DROID 3, are comfortable with ADB (or comfortable enough to be given some commands to run in ADB), and doesn't mind giving me some time to help, please contact me via PM or in #krazyk (IRC Freenode).

I can't help you today, but I will be getting another D3 soon, and then we can have at it

I'm in Australia, but I have one unlocked and never rooted. ADB is no problems. Happy to help after work tonight

Unfortunately this method would not work, so I have a replacement phone being sent.

Let me know if you need anything else mate, the Droid is not my primary phone so is 'semi-expendable'. I am happy to test stuff for you.

Broken Links

I recently updated my phone to 902 and lost root. I was trying to find a good link to pathsaver so I could revert my phone and reroot. I is killing me because Dhacker29 just release and Alpha 902 of ICS working with 3g and LTE. I am excited but cannot install safestrap because I lost root ;(. If someone can PLEASE provide me a good link to Pathsaver. I have checked all threads and forums and yet to find one. Thanks

did you ever find one i am on 902 as well looking for it never rooted my bionic so i need this too!! someone please help i am going through ics withdrawls!!!

Goto my droid world. Might have to search through the pathsaver forum to find active links, but they are in there

Look for this the topic "[script] safe bionic path saver + .901 + liberty3 2.0 - version 2". It's here on xda in android development and hacking/ android software and hacking general. Sorry I can't post the link because I'm using the xda app. This thread works. I just finished using the path finder.

thanks dude so could you tell me i run this pathsaver batt file i think it is runs scripts and then i flash the 896 i think it is then flash 901 there after is this correct ?? watched the video a while back but forgot exactly i suppose i could watch it again but my sound don't work at the moment..

You also have to use RSDLite 5.5 to flash an xml file.
Hopefull I posted the link around enough so if anyone else needs it, they don't have the same problem finding it. I understand looking for something before asking, but they could have put it somewhere that we would search. I had to find it through Google, not an XDA search.

Lg Rev guide for pageplus flash?

hi everyone, i am gonna be getting my hands on a lg revolution 4g lte and i want to flash it to work on pageplus...is there a guide for it, ive flashed a thunderbolt before but without much success on getting internet...is it the same method for the lg or different, ive google but nothing seems to come up only a few but nothing on specifics so if anyone has any ideas please let me know thanks.

Doing some searching on google I found this method that claims to work and it was just published about a month ago...

I am however a little weary about the fact that still nobody on here seems to have a solution? Is this a method that will work or is it just going to brick my phone?

Those on 444 with the old X & Ultras are waiting for jcase & others to come up with some way to get Dan Rosenberg's exploit to work. Jcase said so far root is needed.
So root alone or temporary root to unlock the boot are yet to be found.

Well I have to admit my mistake. I've just realized this was supposed to be posted in the original moto x section as opposed to the moto x 2014.
Can somebody please move this for me? Sorry for any confusion this may have caused...

The method you linked is enabled by an unlocked boot! All unlocked bootloaders have easy root.
