Instructions:
1. Download attached zips, and place it on your SD card.
2. Go into Rom Manager and reboot into Clockwork Recovery.
3. Do a Nandroid backup just in case (I have thoroughly tested this and never had problems)
4. Scroll down and select "install zip from sdcard"
5. Select "choose zip from sdcard"
6. Scroll down and select the desired zip.
7. Scroll down to yes and select.
8. After it is finished, go back to top menu and select reboot.
9. Done, Enjoy.

Thanksfor the confirmation, the only real reason I said this was because I used a deodex'ed settings.apk. So I guess it isn't required to be on a deodexed version but I mainly specified it to avoid any possible errors.

Should work fine on his Rom. As always make a backup before flashing anything just as a precaution.

Quick Side question??
I was wondering if you could port over the Blue Minimalism v1.3 Theme for our fascinate that raiderep put together to work on a deodexed rom on the epic this is a must have Frost Remix for us to all have, there are 3 total files of this Blue Minimalism one is the Theme zip its self the other two is a matching lockscreen and Dialer. I will be tester for it as well if you take this on!!

i am installing the minimal bw skin.zip, and it is stuck in installing update message, it is safe to reboot the phone by taking out the battery, or should I wait longer, it has been about 5 minutes already

ok, I removed the battery, and it sent me to the safe recovery screen, I had to go to load defaults, luckly I had my last state saved throuhg clockworkmod, and was back in no time, anyways, how can then install the minimal bw skin without clockwork?

circle batt mod and black bar mod-modded for cog2.2b9

this is just what ive been using personally, so its just one of the many versions but it looks good since b9 has some blue integrated into it. this also has the evo black bar mod. this took a little bit of work to do because of the added buttons in power-off screen and whatever you do dont try to use an older framework-res it will NOT work. so ive attatched the files and also a twframework.res file for the black pull down bar that looks pretty good with the black bar mod. just copy these to your internal sd card, then with root explorer copy the framework.res(or twframework.res) and go to system/framework and paste-select yes to overwrite current. reboot right after you paste. same process for both files. its recommended that you back up your originals just in case. heres some pics
for those having problems, i reuploaded these again and took them right from my framework file on my phone on b9, the only thing i can tell you to do differently is replace twframework first, thats exactly what i did step by step
also the new twframework is a little different now ill upload pics in a min.
edit: i just downloaded my own file, did what i said to do in the post and everything is fine. AS SOON AS YOU PASTE the new framework in system/framework roboot the phone. also im using launcher pro so if your using twlauncher when you do this it could cause problems-havent checked. use at your own risk blah blah...

ya im pretty sure they are default launcher pro icons, but i do have ones that look almost like default but there not. and ya i never noticed that that looked so much like a fireball .lol

if your not running b9 this will not work because of the extra icons for the power down menu. other than that if you are using b9, im not sure what went wrong as there is nothing in this that could cause a lock up if done correctly.

you could adb push these as well.

one noob question how do i put the wallpaper without cropping it? when i try to go to gallery and make it my wallpaper it always ask me to crop. Any other ways to make the default size? ty

im not entirely sure about terminal but if its the same you could try
(if these are on your sd card)
not sure if you need to su or not but lets assume you do
su (you can try it without first)
cd /sdcard
push /sdcard framework-res.apk /system/framework or try this
cp /sdcard framework-res.apk /system/framework
but you should be able to do these with root explorer if done steo by step ive done it 5-10 times already with these same files on cogb9
copy from sd card
go to system/framework
press paste
click yes to overwrite
reboot
then do the other one the same way. dont try to do 1 after another. reboot after each one or youll get massive force closes. also im using launcher pro from /system/app and have deleted twlauncher. if your using twlauncher while trying this might wanna switch to launcher pro before you replace these frameworks.
and these will only work on b9 because of the added options in the power down menu

I used the Meta morph one and it ran fine on beta 9. Still kept the reboot buttons even.

Very Cool, Thanks I really like the Circle Battery Mod. My first time trying it with any of the Cog Roms. I have a question and maybe I am answering it myself but IS the Circle Battery Blue when it is Charged/Charging and Green when it is on Battery Power? Mine is green right now and I like the look of the blue. I do not have my charger with me at this time to test it. Thanks again

[APPS] Swype Themed Updated

Hello everybody, I've recently playing with some themes for swype. Below are some themed swype APKs (not metamorphs, these are better). I will be updating the thread with more and more so check back every once in a while. I will also gladly take suggestions/feedback.
These will NOT work in MIUI or SuperClean 2.5 as of now, planning a port for 2.5 when i have the time

*install at own risk
Install as a normal apk, if you have trouble, try these steps (may not be neccessary).
Step 1: Change input method to a different keyboard by long pressing text field.
Step 2: Drop lib file into system/lib. You can use adb or an app like root explorer for this. (This step is for precautionary measures I'm not sure if its necessary yet).
libSwypeCore.so
Step 3: Download and install apk. The download links are below. You may push apk into system/app then install if you'd like also.
Step 4: Change input method back to swype and enjoy.
note: Some steps may not be necessary, i've had success by just doing nothing but downloading and installing apk. Im just trying to make sure people get it right if it dosent work, try reinstalling/rebooting.

Ive been using the black glass swype metamorph for the captivate for a couple of months it would rock if someone could mod a blue glass theme. All captivate metamorphs work on fascinate.

I would like to know the version of swype required as well. I've been using pink,purple and black glass metamorphs and love them. I'm glad to see your light blue, that is one I would love to try. Thanks for all your hard work!!

this requires nothing my dude. Its an app that will replace your old swype or add one if you dont have.

NO VERSION is required, this isnt a theme or metamorph. Its the whole thing into an easy to install package. itll replace the current swype

Does anyone know how to get the swype from the DJ05 (and prior) SuperDark theme/rom to work on EB01? It looks exactly like the Swype Black Glass in this thread but it has purple highlights on keypress instead of grey or whatever it is right now. That was my absolute favorite swype keyboard but it force closes on EB01 even when I tried a 'swypefix' (don't remember where I got it from) or the libcore file from this thread. I tried PMing thatdudebutch (i believe he's the SuperDark guy) a week or so ago but I never got a response. Thanks in advance.

Just for the record, SuperClean 2.x/Blackhole 4.2/EB01 Leak/EB01Leak Deodexed all run this same version of libSwypeCore.so (bit-by-bit identical), so no need to worry about that file, unless you don't have it.

Thanks for the blue theme with white trail and instructions.
I had to force stop swype in the settings-applications-manage-running menu
Then drop it into the system-app folder after renaming the original swype apk.
Question... Could you make a slightly lighter blue with a glow... It would go better with the midnight / blue steel theme also on here...

I'm pretty sure that the files in the OP are a couple versions newer than the the current swype beta.
I'm running 2.21.63.16956, if that helps you any.

I as well am having the same issue. I am going to try and a couple of things, But everytime I try to install the keyboard, it says it is installing, then it says "application not installed.

Do these run on SC2.9+?

Ok I got mine working. I went into the /system/app folder and deleted the previous swype.apk in there, I then installed the new apk. restarted and then clicked to install. Worked like a charm. I love the red glow, just wishing there was a blue glow one. I think that would go great with a honeycomb theme I am running.

The square bar code I created for this Launcher is scannable with a bar code reader. It will say "App Drawer". Nice little touch I thought
As you can tell its a general launcher nothing overly special. Just CleanedUP nicely and a little fancier than the stock .apk. It doesn't have the page icons on each side of the launcher bar, but all 5 pages remain, just swype either direction and it will change pages. Didn't like the little dots so they came out also.
It's based off the Sexy Rose Mod found in this thread by nitsuj17. Unsure of original creator of the modded Launcher 2.

Installation instructions:
Download Launcher2.apk to your sdcard. Use Root Explorer to copy file from sdcard to /system/app folder. Overwrite original file. Hit back button twice to return to main directory folder /. Then hit home button. Launcher should reload as the themed launcher. This is the way I have done this. Any other way has not been tested so perform installation in other ways at your own risk. This will take off widgets installed on your pages so you will need to reactivate them to a page.

Great work, I installed without Root Explorer though.
I used Android Terminal Emulator, from the Market, by Jack Palevich. (Free)
Using the terminal emulator, this is how I did it.
su
cp /mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod/Launcher2.apk /system/app/
For those that don't know:
su <-- Gives you superuser rights, root rights.
cp (copy command in linux) source destination
(/mnt/sdcard <-- is your SD card location, I copied the apk into a folder called clockworkmod)

Nothing was wrong with the original it just is very basic and blocky. To me cleanedup is smoothing out the rough edges and making it sexy like the phone. Name change is coming tonight anyways with the edify version upload.

To fix installing problems:
If you're running any version of Swype, first make sure to delete it's data before removing the actual application /uninstall app and it's libs then reboot in recovery and wipe both caches .after doing that you can go ahead and install the themed Swype of your choice. You wouldn't have any force closes if you do it this way. If you are using Swype on your phone for the first time, reboot in recovery wipe both caches/reboot the phone/install Swype (just install it and don't do anything else) /reboot in recovery/wipe both caches again/fix permissions/reboot the phone/enable Swype in keyboards (nothing else)/enable input and choose Swype / go into settings while in the keyboard to choose language, preferences etc...
This should work like a charm as it has worked for me in more than a dozen of different phones using both methods.

well I must've done something wrong as it did not work on my g2x.. This is what I didi:
downloaded beta from swype site and installed on my phone
downloaded your morph to my sdcard
followed instructions precisely as per your page above: copied data/app com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk to sdcard and renamed to Swype.apk
Then moved to system/app folder
extracted your morph with metamorph and apply theme.... then apply theme again
then took swype.apk and copied it back again to sdcard and rename as the original file com.swype....blah
then I moved renamed file to data/app leaving me with two apks in my system.. one under system/app as swype.apk and one in data/app as com.swype.android...etc.etc..
rebooted
opened drawer and select Swype installer, all I get is the login option to install Swype again! I do not get the option to re-license...
See why I couldn't use twiiter for this? haha

Ok I see what went wrong... At the end there should be 2 files
System/app/Swype.apk
and
Data/app/com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk
then use the installer to register again...Might not be needed but I did it per another site that said it would need to!!! Hope that helps!!!

to register again? When I press the swype installer and login it ask me to download swype again and then it will overwrite app... Is this what you are saying?

That is where I am at. I get the morph to work. I know this cause the icon changes to show that the theme was done. Then when I reboot I go to "re-license" and I only get the option to log in. This forces me to download the app again which overwrites the file and all is lost at that point.. ?
Edit: To start i guess I should say I am using Thunderbolt: Tried several things from clearing cache and installing in both system/app and data/app. Everything that could be done to get it to work. Still nothing. I found that if I left a copy of the swype.apk in the system/app that it would give constant force close. The only way to stop that is to put the themed version in the data/app and delete the themed version from system/app. Problem then is when you go to register again it forces to download and overwrites the themed version. So.. any ideas??

Well I've tried it two times and I'm sure once instructions are polished a bit more we would be able to make it work, lets just wait for the dark master.

Ok now my darkswype left after a reboot. I'm going to try a flashable that can be only used with beta installer permissions. No promisses, this will be my first attempt at this.

Good luck report back. I had my original swype themed with the black and loved it. Would like to get that pback if possible. With time I'm sure you will get it cracked open. I know the one I had was a bootleg copy of swype due to the beta verisons were being such a pain, so wish you the best and good luck.

I can make stock swype themes easy. The beta versions don't like themes.
