Friends,
i have cooked a new ROM.. with so much of tweaking, twisting and Turning that i even i am confused what all things i have done lol..
Anyhow as i cant test this i need Some testers to test this ROM for me.
Just Make sure to make a Nandroid back up first so that in case something goes wrong you can restore your back-up from recovery.
THE THREAD IS CLOSED AS ALL THE THINGS HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY INTEGRATED INTO VARIOUS ROMs

What it can do ?
# It can give you animated weather on the Home screen.

# It can just run smooth with none of the above.
# It can refuse to boot. yeah thats a possibility
* In case it boots up well but u cant get Live wallpaper but u have weather animations i think you should be happy. Dont try anything else.
*In case it boots up well but u can get Live wallpaper but u dont have weather animations Don't do the following step.
#* In case it boots up well and you dont get weather animation and Live wallpaper Both, try flashing the following zip file just like a rom.

yeah that was cause there was experiment in that.. but now i will release all my experimental buids here and once they are successful they will go into the full release..anyhow did u try v1.5.1 .. should work well..

I'll be happy to test mate running Vibes 1.2.1 no problems, and about to test 1.5.1 now

will try out soon as you released it

1-does livewallpaper path works for vibe 1.5.1 rom?
2- why you dont start Froyo 2.2 for wildfire like CM6 Rom?

Ok,i did a full wipe,flashed the rom but it didnt boot.The htc "quietly brilliant" logo never came up...

yes that can be cause of boot animation error.. did u leave it at black screen for sometime.. plzz do tht and see if it boots..

yeah actually i am too stressed for my exam on 25th this month.... this is my way of taking out tension..
Live wallpaper patch most proabably wont work with 1.5.1 but u can try and let us know..
I will start froyo after my exams..

I had the phone connected in my computer with ddms in order to see what was happening.It seems it was looping and there were errors with a boot image or boot animation and saying something about dalvik cache.What an idiot i am,i didn't save the log...The screen was white with the htc logo.It never went black or move on to the "quietly brilliant" logo...

I install but remain blocked in HTC screen

nice (even if VERY geeky, 'activating root access' LOL), but numbers seems to translate during the 'memory test'...

Installed on azure 1.0.1. Nice job: works great !
But 806 MHz made me lol as I'm not overclocked

Of course not. That image is on a separate mtd region and has to be flashed there but unfortunately our S-ON hboot doesn't allow us to do that...

I finally manage to dl your bootanimation. Has some typos in text, we have more RAM (384 MB) and less disk space (185 MB). And we don't have parallel port ...these are all just cosmetics. It's all OK in general but the whole thing could be 3 time smaller if you would use some png optimization and indexed mode.

This mod did not seem to work for me with Juicy CM6. I wiped cache and installed it using ROM manager, but I just get a blank screen after the initial HTC logo.

Seriously, what rom are you guys using? Im using Pauls FR4, but geting nothing but bootloops and crashes D: I am a ad-free member though, so i removed a couple of files when i baked the rom, but not anything i can imagine would impact this.

I'm using Pauls Pre-bake. Worked the first time for me but I did it in the most round about way ever! Probably due to me flashing the ROM and theme before my morning coffee..
I doubt any of the sequence I did played a part in getting it to work..but here goes
1) Titanium backed up my user apps
2) Booted into recovery, did a full wipe and flashed Paul's pre-baked R4 ROM.
3)Booted back into the phone, changed the date/time to the correct one, and pulled titanium backup from the market.
4)Did a titanium restore(only user apps)
5)Noted everything was working fine with the new ROM and rebooted into recovery again (to flash the theme)
6) Now here;s the doozy, intending to flash the theme I flashed Pauls rom again!
7)Had to wait for the ROM flash to finish and flashed the theme immediately after.
8) booted back into the phone and everything worked.
I seriously doubt you have to do it the way I did for it to work, but i figured I should included my flashing steps just in case you wanted to know

Strange !
With Desire HD so many Stuff installed via CWM, never get a Bootloop.
Here with r4 and P990 i got many.
- battery percentage installed, loop.
- theme installed, loop.
Using r4.
Any Ideas ?

The simple error
after trying 500 times to get the theme to work, i found the error, there are missing a _ in the zipfile.
Doc_Themev.0.2 change it to Doc_Theme_v.0.2, and it works like a charm.

Reporting to say it still works with r5.. but not sure what I lost from r5 because I flashed it

Lol switched to a x2 this weekend. I loved the phone in the store, but I disgusted the childish, over the top icons in the status bar. I thought, O well lets get this phone, there is always xda developers

Same for me on numbers 1 & 2.
never tried the others...looks fantastic, feels smooth but no use without wifi and mobile

For mobile data you have to configure the APN manually, I did the same its working, the actual bug is that this ROM has very limited or no APN.
For front Camera just flash Virtous Unity v4.0 kernel and it will be OK.
Even I am waiting for a Wifi fix, OC I do not use so its fine

I bet they'll update to 3.0 because they don't want everyone to use ported versions of it

Yes that's how I did it as well. Something to do with Ext3? Saw a note at the botrom of first post but not sure what needs to be Ext3?

+1, don't boot! EXT4 Recovery

Maybe try a full wipe and try again? Its out of my knowledge sorry....

I did a full wipe before but my question is if any of the partitions needs to be EXT3 rather than EXT4 to flash new kernel?

More little bugs "screenshots" for themes and wallpapers dont show

bug
1. no default htc wallpaper
2. sometimes it's 'hang' when jumping app to another app (eg change wallpaper & apply) ....

My Signed ROM won't work

i decided to make a ROM for myself by customizing some of the System apps on the ROM that is well optimized and tweaked
what i did:
-unpacked the ROM and deleted useless system apps and add other APk's and also deleted the original launcher and add other downloaded launcher
-re-ZIP'ed it and renamed it to Update.zip
-using the signer i signed the ZIP file successfully
-when i tried to flash the ROM it deliver almost NO reaction i used both option Install Update.zip and Install custom Zip
What i did wrong?
Help me this is my first move to Make some satisfy'ble ROM

OK i did it again and the compression method is store after the compression the ZIP file is huge! about 185MB and signed it with signer
now can i try to flash it? or need to do something?
