I've been converting back and forth between QTC and PNG files for a while now and I never noticed much difference in quality between the PNG and QTC files until now. Is there any way to get higher quality QTC files? I've just been using normal replacing on CFC gui. I attached the quality differences between png's and qtc's below.

Hi Guys,
Wanted to know if there was anyway to improve the playback of wmv files.
Avi, flv files are fine when viewed with tcpmp81 rc1:
Raw frame buffer, larger buffer, larger preload and larger hard and soft drop tolerance.
WMV files encoded at about 400kbs are very choppy.
Is there any way to improve on this newer .dll etc?
Thanks in advance
Install the graphics drivers!
oh wait...........
maybe you should ask HTC and they will say: try a soft reset.
Where do i download these drivers....
Oh wait there are none.
Is there anything that can tide me over until they are released.
Oh well maybe will have to bash htc on some other thread.
Are people having issues with all types of clips or just certain filetypes?
I was nosing around in the registry today and I noticed in the HTC Camera folder that as well as reg entries for 3GP (large, medium and small) and MP4 (L,M,S) there are also incomplete ones for AVI (L,M,S).
Could this might mean that AVI video capture could be enabled?
The entries can be found at:
\HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Recparam
There is also an entry in the SDK folder
(\HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\SDK - SupportedVideoFileTypes)
with a value of '56' that suggests to me that this value could be changed to allow for more video file types.
Anyone got any ideas?
Theres aome screen shots attached.
Obviously nobody interested in recording in AVI!!!
mmm interesting
any idea guys ?
i need avi rec also how?
anyone can help?
Ok, I've made a nice animation, resulting in numbered PNG files. I'm able to merge them into a video file with VirtualDub and save to AVI. Then I changed the container to MP4. The file shows up in 360 videos but does not playback (you stay in space with the stars around you).
Now I've tried many different compression settings, even different codecs (although h264 should work) but no matter what I try, it doesnt work. The only way I can get it to playback is by uploading it to Youtube and downloading it again. However Youtube applied super compression and the resulting file looks pretty bad.
Please have a look at my file and tell me what I'm doing wrong .. (this is a very short version because I was getting memory errors with large files)

Any help much appreciated
I tried some video editing of a 180x180_3dh.mp4 file. I exported it as a mp4 file, 50fps as it was natively. When i view in MilkVR it looks like you're viewing from a fisheye lens. Anybody know why? Was using a cheap video editor on my work computer. Haven't tried in Adobe Premier yet
Changing it to 360x360 seems to help. I stepped down to 200x200. At best you get a 90 degree field of view
I have a backup of the MessageStore from my old Touch Diamond phone from this location: \Application Data\PictureMail\MessageStore
If I edit the files in Notepad++, I am able to see that each file has a combination of embedded files within them. (Most of them have a text body, many have a JPG or 3GP attachment embedded in them.) If I manually guess/hack at the file saving off data I am able to get some working 3gp and JPG files, but this a slow and tedious process.
Does anyone have a tool that can parse these files and quickly pull out the text messages and any embedded attachments on my Windows PC? I've tried searching but can't seem to come up with anything. There is nothing critical in the data, but I would like to save off any media files. I've come across a few pictures of family from these text messages and although the quality isn't very good, it's nice to have these files back.
Any help, please?
TotalCommander is what you are looking for. Copy files to the 4GB partition and thenn you can copy to your PC.
