Hello everyone!
My father owns a Galaxy S plus, but he was not able to see the small text in some of his apps, and it was not adjustable through the settings. Reading a guide on this website (cant remember the link, sorry), I was able to change the Pixel Density by editing a file called Build.Prop present in /system. The text became larger now.
You can see the 12th line, I changed it from 240 to 280: i.imgur.com/tw5wc.jpg
Now the first and really annoying issue is its phone pad: i.imgur.com/TZNhL.jpg
As you can see if you type a wrong number you will have to exit and open it again, no option to erase and also there is no option to call, you have to add it to contacts first and then you will be able to call them.
When you open contacts, everything is normal, why is this only in the phone pad?
The lock screen of the current OS (2.3.5) on that phone is different from that of 2.3.6. Now when you want to directly open messages or see missed calls, you know that you have to move a part to the empty space to complete the "puzzle" and it will open it. Now you will have to move it below that empty part to open but it is tricky.
When it comes to calculator, I solved the issue by installing a 3rd party program and completely removing the stock one. It had a similar issue to the phone pad. Anyway I backed up the stock one in case anything happens.
I guess that Samsung did not optimize them to work with these changes, do you think the same way?
Can you please help me solve this issue?

Dialer Problem solved
I solved the dialer problem by installing a 3rd party one, called as DW Contacts & Phone Dialer (Developer: DWP). It works very well with the dislay settings I changed. But using a 3rd party dialer can be a worry sometimes.
Hey all, so I noticed that a few Kit Kat roms have a max mms size of 2MB. I'm trying to set it to 5MB or at least 3.5MB. I've tried editing xml files to adjust it, but I get an error that I'm unable to send after multiple attempts. I'm currently on Viper 5.0 and it's not a huge deal, but I'm wondering if anyone else has some insight?
I've tried editing /system/customize/MNS/default.xml and /system/customize/ACC/default.xml to increase the size, but changing them just made all mms messages fail. I've tried decompiling the apk and looking for something that is settings related, but can't seem to find it.
I just want to note that there doesn't seem to be any system to automatically clear logs from xposed installer.
I was sorting apps by size and found that xposed installer was using 1.36GB!! After clearing the logs the problem was solved.
It would be nice to have a setting to automatically clear the logs (it could be a log maximum size setting, a log maximum age setting or whatever else).
That's all, thanks for this great software!
You have an incompatible module that keeps crashing. Find it, uninstall it. Clearing the logs does not fix the problem.

You're by far not the only one who has suggested this. As a developer, it's surprising for me that many people want to fix only the symptoms instead of the root cause. Anyway, it's planned to limit the log size to avoid such big files, but that obviously doesn't fix anything.
GermainZ already said what you should do, it's also mentioned in the FAQ.
Hi,
I've a problem with this simple query for a WhatsApp DB (the DB is not in use and is stored on the internal SD card), it will only return results if it's less than 100 rows:
SELECT needs_push FROM messages WHERE key_remote_jid LIKE "%[email protected]"
if I change the selected group ("%[email protected]") to one that has messages fewer than 100 (or added more conditions to limit the results) then it works as expected.
I've tested this using:
SQLite for root
Tasker SQLite Plugin
Any idea what is the cause of this?
Thanks.
Hi
I would like to change data limit and data warning with tasker.
No matter with shell plugin or intent to some app ... googled quite a bit but could not find a solution ...
Does anybody know one? SecureTask seems to be able to read the data usage "Network usage" but also cannot adjust the limit/warning ...
Would be great to be able to do that. The plan is to change the limit daily so that even in the end of the month 1/30 (or 1/31 or 1/28 or 1/29) of data is still available ...
Regards
