I found this thread in the Droid X forums: [HOW-TO] Manually deodex your phone.
I tried it with my Incredible, and got a bunch of errors.
I would really like to deodex my phone, but don't want to start over with a whole new ROM.
Besides installing a deodexed rom, does anyone know how to manually deodex the Incredible?
That is for moto phones....if you want to deodex your phone, take a clean rom, import it into the dsixda htc kitchen and deodex

Hi all
I am confused what you mean by deodex'ing a Rom. Do we have to reinstall the ROM ( wiping the system in the process) or can we just update the existing Rom without having to reinstall all my apps? I got some info while searching but I'm still not clear if I have to reinstall the ROM and apps after I deodex it.
Thanks!

Roms are either odexed or deodexed by the devs, so if your unsure of what your doing just leave it to the professionals. Or do some more research.
Thank you! So i guess that means I have to re-install the deodex version of the ROM, and restore all apps. oh well..
Hey everyone I have been searching all over and found nothing so I figured someone here may have the answer.
I've been looking for an updated but stock rom for the revolution only with added root. I'm wanting to start a little developing but I definitely want to start from stock (plus root). Anyone have an idea where I could find it
Only the orig shipping ROM has root, no one has found an exploit on the update... =\

Re-homed 1.1 ROM for intents and purposes is an updated stock ROM.
If you would like i could post the update zip for you that will give
you a fully stock zv6 minus the boot.img and radio. Just start from a rooted w/cwm zv4 and flash the zip in cwm. Just let me know if you want it!

Hi all,
could someone post a zip of the deodexed system apps of 2.3 Droid 4?
I'd like to try which apps are working on the DROID 3!
Especially the Gallery (which seems to show folders now) and the Music App.
Thanks in advance!
I would gladly deodex the rom, since I need it that way too, but I have a learning curve involved. If anyhone already has it, I might be able to help with lapdock love on the custom roms.

Does anybody have a flashable zip of the Stock AT&T jellybean ROM that is rooted? I accidentally deleted my backup and want to go back easily if possible. Don't have access to a computer.

I dont think you can flash a stock but you do can restore a backup of it.
In order for you to flash stock you need a pc and use the rsdlite software and once on stock re-root and install a recovery and then backup the stock 4.1 att rom

You could flssh holo blur. It's almost stock.

I guess everyone missed Skeevydude's nice Stock 4.1.2 flashable which is far less restricted and no bloat then 4.11 and it's holoblur 0.9's source.

I also have my own custom built rom Streamlined 0.4 deoxidized running stock kernel with tweaks and some stuff themed as well as Google Play market (Custom) and more which also uses 4.1.2 source.
Info: As to not step on toes with HoloBlur I have made my rom private by PM request only.
Looking to Deodex my phone so I can use more addons for it.
I used to use Xultimate back when I had a HTC Sensation.
Is this still the best option for deodexing? Currently running stock rooted 10.3.1.A.2.67
I dont know about xultimate, the last release was pretty old and there are such good stock based roms here that its probably not seen as needed.
But over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454829
Is a good guide to getting stock firmware with more permanent root, recovery and deodexed if you dont want to mess with it yourself in android kitchen or install one of the deodexed stock based roms available.
Then get busy with xposed modules and your phone will be your little b+*$ for customizing.
And over here if you want to do it yourself, my apologies if you already know and were just looking for info on the tool but: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2374008
Xultimate is still one of the best script on market.
Just update smali.jar and baksmali.jar with latest versions, so can manage latest jb applications.
