I have an HTC Touchpro 2 with windows mobile. The touchflo bar at the botton of the HTC Sense homepage is nice with one exception...the inability to change default programs.
Let's start with the webbrowser for example. I do NOT like Opera. As a matter of fact I use Skyfire. Currently it's sitting in the PROGRAMS tab and then I have to choose the browser from there. I would like to set it up so that I can just go to the internet tab and hit the planet/web icon and it will launch skyfire instead of opera. Is this doable?
Then there are the bookmarks on the internet tab. I don't want this to be a political thread, so don't make it one. It comes programmed with CNN and ESPN on there. Well one, I do not like CNN and I'd much rather put FOX on there. Second, I don't much care for sports so I'd like to remove ESPN altogether. It would be nice if I could add my own bookmarks.
What about the other programs? Can I change the default calender? What about the text program? The text program is ok but when I am sending a message to 10 people, I dont like having to type in each number or go select each name one at a time. I'd like a text/multimedia program that will let me select multiple recipients.
I know this is a lot to ask but once you point me in the right direction, I'll get it. Thanks in advance for the help.
~Mike
I am eager to know the answer?
hello
you have to go to opera settings and uncheck the default program. then you have to open skyfire and check default browser and that's it. for the bookmarks you can remove them from the list. you have to open the bookmarks and go to menu and go to remove then you check the bookmarks that you want to remove.

I've tried opera mini and opera mobile with no help. I am looking to have full access to my calendar, gAIM, and all those neat little services I can get when I open gmail on my computer.
I've been try to patiently wait for opera mobile 9 but wtf!
and I don't want to involve outlook, IMAP or any other BS "sign up for this" service. I want to load my browser on my Kaiser and see my full calendar (which my wife and I are able to share/edit in real time which rocks), on the go from anywhere...
I don't get it. What services are you looking for exactly? If you wanted to see the GMAIL website exactly as you would on the computer albeit some small differences, logon and select FULL view instead of mobile view on the bottom. Other than that, can you be more specific as to what your looking for?
No, the "FULL" gmail experience in Opera or anything I try does NOT include the gchat list on the left, the gdocument access and absolutely does not load the gcalendar as it looks on my computer. It loaded some cruddy un-editable single page calendar.
I'm sure that this isn't what you are wanting, but thought that I'd throw it out there anyway...
Have you ever tried OggSync? It allows you to sync your calendar with Google Calendar directly. I use it all the time now so that I'm not tied to Outlook. Basically every calendar that I have in Google is sync'd to a category on my Tilt.
As for Google Docs, this page (http://www.google.com/google-d-s/whatsnew.html) claims that you can access them via docs.google.com/m but I haven't tried that yet.
yeah, thanks for the heads up on oggsync but I'm done with "syncing" I've done it in the past and it's a pain, never smooth and NOT real-time, i.e. changes made aren't immediately seen on my wife's calander. The way we keep it now if she adds something to her shared gcalendar I immediately see it on mine and vice versa. With mobile calendar you only get to add, no edit and can't view months at a time easily (or at all?).
Was hoping Opera 9 would fix this.
P.S. I realize these are processor intensive scripts to make g-stuff look so awesome but I think (read: hope) the kaiser should be able to handle it.
I want to set up shortucts for my gmail midlet and opera mini one. How do I do this>

I really like the HTC home page pluggin. The big clock and the tabs on the bottom are quite useful. Does anyone know how I can add 1 more contacts tab to that inteface. I dont care for the weather tab, so I'd like to replace that with another contacts contact.
Is this possible to do?
Can you some of the Geniuses on this site, make such a thing please

Htc home customizer, you cant ad another contacts tab, but it allows you to change the tabs, as far as i know you cant have more than 1 contacts tabs on the home plugin.
I want it to be like Mobile shell 2's contacts tabs
I used to use Mobile Shell to do the multiple contact tabs. But, I am a fan of the HTC inteface and want to keep it.
Anyone have any ideas to do this?
Thank you,
please,
where is the Favourites folder for Opera.....Opera does not apear to be picking up my normal Mobile favourites but iexplore and netfront do.
There isn't a folder and it won't pick up your IE bookmarks.
You need to edit opera6.adr using notepad to add/backup your favourites.
Not entirely true, from what I saw today, The latest Beta version includes ie folders in the booksmarks page. Or am I wrong ?
Any confirmation on this?
Its annoying using Opera as default browser but not easily transferring favourites around

Er, yes it does
You should see a folder within the Opera Favorites called IE Favorites, doing exactly this !
I dont see IE Favouritse within Opera favourites
It's there on mine
Has any one know that where i can find the bookmarks of opera saved in Diamond 2.
Since I need to reput my bookmarks again after each hard reset.
The star in opera are the bookmarks.
In TFlo in the internettab there is also a option bookmarks
I mean they saved on which folder, thus I can backup that folder for later I hard reset my device.
\Windows\Opera9\opera6.adr
THANKS.........
I suggest creating a google account, and making an igoogle page containing a bookmark widget. Store all your favourites in it and make it your homepage. Your bookmarks will then be available in every device / PC you use, no matter what browser you're using. Works a treat! No need to synchronize!
good idea, thanks a lot.
