phone history wow!

So I was thinking about the phones ive had since the first one back in 2000. In ten years I've had 15 phones! and noticed the tech gap. anyone else have a throw back? I'm just like wow im getting old! lol

Can you provide with a zoomed in picture of your phones?

I know this is a lot of pictures and I "think" these reflect my cell evolution since the 90's I'm missing a whole bunch of them...when I worked for Verizon, they will give me every single new phone to demo it

If hes anything like me, he changes phones about every 2-3 months. I just get board with them and want something new or the latest, even if its a downgrade.

I have this bad habit of trying out latest gadgets.......
i never had a single phone for more than 2 months...i easily get bored
till now i had many phones.......
iphone...HTC (diamond, HD, HD2, G1, Magic, Nexus one)..plam pre, sony ericsson (satio, Xperia x10).. Palm pre....samsung (some stupid phone) .....Motorola milestone..nokia N97..some other small phones (all in just 1 year )
now i am bored with nexus and xperia and want to try something exciting...but all exciting phones like HTC evo 4g and droidx are only available in US and also CDMA...
samsung bada is not so exciting (No apps )
please suggest something exciting phone i can get in germany......

Try that new watch phone that LG came out with. It looks pretty cool, reminds me of James Bond

Get the GSM version of the droid x. It's the milestone xt722 or something but it has a 8 mp camera with a xenon flash and a keyboard along with a front facing camera. I would've got it before my Nexus, but it's got Motoblur and it's Motorola....

How about the Samsung galaxy s? Too bad it's very familiar with the iphone design...

motorola is the worst company i would i ever go for...they are against openeness and they can't fulfill my rom flashing addiction....

My brother has the N900, it's a pretty cool phone and the OS is sleek. Havent really played a lot with it.

Idk about a dell streak... It's not really portable. It's meant to be a tablet with phone capabilities. You can tell by the way the capacitive buttons are turned 90 degrees so when it's on a table you see them correctly . But still... a 5 inch screen on a phone is just way to big.

Stick with HTC and XDA on what ever you get!

Dell streak is good but its on 1.6 ........
most of the other phones Alex530 has mentioned are not available in Germany and they are not GSM too....
@lufc ...i dont sell these on ebay as i have got many local friends who would like to buy phones from me as i am the mobile guru for them here and i still have most of the phones with me still
looking to try Bada os but it has no VOIP app yet which is the major part of my phone usage

have 2 cars....2 bikes (one in that is Yamaha R15 ..the R-DNA bike)....recently got PS3 250GB, 42inch LCD TV..........and girls....my wife will kill me (typical Indian women style)

Had a lady come into my workplace (where we sell ATT, Sprint and T-Mobile) and told me that her iPhone 3gs, that she had on T-Mobile prepaid, could not make phone calls. I told her to just take out the battery and put it back in. She didn't know how to do it and demanded that I do it for her. Since she didn't buy the phone from us, I didn't want to risk damaging the phone, and because I was busy with other ACTUAL customers, I told her that i was unable to do it. She then claimed that because I couldn't open an iPhone, my store must be "technologically behind" and that I was slow and wouldnt understand how to use something like an iPhone. Skipping the part where I embarrassed her by showing how my HTC inspire dominates, I am just pointing out how she is an average iPhone user.
Me: "do you have a smart phone?"
IPhone user: " pfft.. no. I have an iPhone."

Ditto!! Don't worry though when that Dual core, 4.3" screen, 8mp camera phone comes out. (moto droid bionic) Bust that out and be like "What now son!? What now!?!" Lol!! But anyways I agree! People that worship Apple wth is the big deal! What do u want an award for "having" a product that has the Apple sign jeez go eat a ice cream or something..

Also, when I told her that we WERE in fact technologically "ahead", I showed her the android phones (including mine).

i think most ppl have heard of it but anyways:
a (swedish?) study pointed out, that a lot of these apple-fanatics show the same symptoms as ppl diagnosed with the stockholm syndrome. they defend their iphone against any kind of criticism and are somewhat deaf for reasonable arguments like the iphone having no extendable storage, removeable battery, supports no flash and so on...
have to say that not only iphone users show these symptoms but also nearly any person being strongly fond of one of their posessions (car, hifi etc).
the iphone is a nice device but way too expensive and i rather stick with a phone i have more control over.
but i dig my ipod+itunes. works great.

An actual conversation that I had with an iPhone user:
iPhone user: What is that, an iPhone?
Me: No. It's an HD2.
iPhone user: Oh. My iPhone can probably do more than that thing.
Me: Oh really?
iP user: Yes.
Me: Can it turn into a WiFi hotspot?
iP: Yes. But I have to pay more for it.
Me: But can it run another OS?
iP: no

Haha nah. Definitely was a Rumor Touch. Girl I work with just got rid of her Ally and got a Captivate. She still swears that the Ally is a "great" phone. Then again she's an idiot.

when i had my streak everyone with an "i" phone was always like what is that the new i phone and i wld just say apple wishes and that always started a war if your using an iphone wouldnt you know if a new phone was coming out

Nokia Xpressmusic 5800. It was slow, buggy and every update seemed to make it worse. In the end I couldn't slide to answer calls or turn off the alarms.

No one really sets out to buy a crappy phone but you won't really know it's a crappy phone until you start using it...lol. I think that's the case most of the time.

SE vivaz. crap os, bad screen, boring and the phone was very hard to hack until the antivirus exploit was discovered

IPhone. I owned 4 of them bastards. Each one trolled me. One had screen fail (all white screen...never recovered), second had ear speaker failure, third had home button failure, fourth one was mutilated by a drill press just for fun, the day before I was able to upgrade.

Samsung Solstice... yuck. I mean, you could use it, but as far as non-smartphones go, it was far inferior to even standard non-touchscreen phones. You're either a smartphone with a touchscreen or you aren't.
The best non-smartphone I ever owned was the Samsung Messager II when I had Cricket service. That phone was actually REALLY good. It was the only cell phone I ever liked before getting my Galaxy S2 earlier this year.

Had the EVO 4G at launch, than switched to Samsung Epic Touch to a family plan. Now back to regular plan on HTC One. I hate Sprint data speeds and wanted Verizon, but their phones suck or are late. I do have LTE here and the HTC One is just too good, so NP with Sprint for now.

Been with Sprint for a while now. First HTC phone was the TouchPro2, then Diamond, Diamond Pro, brief detour to a BB, then the OG Evo, Evo 3D, Evo LTE, and now the One. I've never considered myself to be an HTC fanboy, but it seems like they've always had the best phones around when I decided to research for my upgrade. I debated heavily between Evo3D vs. Galaxy Nexus, LTE vs. SG3, & One vs. SG4, but HTC has just managed to win me over every time

Touch Pro was my first.. ahh horrible windows mobile.. I did love that thing at the time though and I still miss the white ring "hearbeat" charging light!

Started with the Hero, haven't looked back.

I know that this photo has more than HTC (It's more or less my complete phone history since 2000) but my first was an HTC Wing on T-Mobile. I've had a few.

Hero > Launch evo 3d > Launch ONE

After horrible experiences with the Samsung moment, intercept, then the transform I got my Rock solid htc evo then 3d. I ALWAYS look to htc when it comes time to get a new phone.

Mogul>touch>touch pro>Diamond>touch pro2>hero>evo 4g>shift>3d>evo lte>and now the one. I think the only sprint HTC devices I havent had are the design and the 6700
And yes... Every one of those was unlocked or rooted. I hate stock anything. As for other smartphones I've had moment, pre, epic touch, nexus s, photon q, 8830, 9630, 9650, and 9930.

Mogul was my first smartphone, Evo, Hero, One. I held out as much as I could till the One came along. Wife works for Sprint so we go back to the Nextel iden days.

I would consider myself a HTC fanboy. I have bounced to Samsung once or twice just to come back to HTC. Here is my list excluding non-htc devices

I've owned HTC phones since the mogul.

Started with the HTC Mogul, made a switch to Evo, attempted Win 7 mobile on HTC Arrive, then Evo 3d and now the One. I've tried the S2 and S4 but switched back in under a week. Just like my HTC devices.
