I'm going on 5 years with HTC. First I had the htc Pure, and the last 4 years have been spent with the amazing Evo line, and now the One. I've loved all 5 years How long have y'all been loyal? And I always keep my boxes

Had the EVO 4G at launch, than switched to Samsung Epic Touch to a family plan. Now back to regular plan on HTC One. I hate Sprint data speeds and wanted Verizon, but their phones suck or are late. I do have LTE here and the HTC One is just too good, so NP with Sprint for now.
Been with Sprint for a while now. First HTC phone was the TouchPro2, then Diamond, Diamond Pro, brief detour to a BB, then the OG Evo, Evo 3D, Evo LTE, and now the One. I've never considered myself to be an HTC fanboy, but it seems like they've always had the best phones around when I decided to research for my upgrade. I debated heavily between Evo3D vs. Galaxy Nexus, LTE vs. SG3, & One vs. SG4, but HTC has just managed to win me over every time
Touch Pro was my first.. ahh horrible windows mobile.. I did love that thing at the time though and I still miss the white ring "hearbeat" charging light!
Started with the Hero, haven't looked back.

HTC Touch > HTC Hero > HTC EVO 4G > HTC EVO 3D > HTC EVO 4G LTE > HTC One
It's been a while. There were a few webOS phones between because they were awesome.
I've had the following HTC headsets:
Touch
Touch pro
Touch pro 2
Evo
Evo 3D
Evo 4g lte
One
Total of 7 years with HTC

I know that this photo has more than HTC (It's more or less my complete phone history since 2000) but my first was an HTC Wing on T-Mobile. I've had a few.
Hero > Launch evo 3d > Launch ONE
After horrible experiences with the Samsung moment, intercept, then the transform I got my Rock solid htc evo then 3d. I ALWAYS look to htc when it comes time to get a new phone.

I've been with HTC since the 2007. Mogul > Touch > Mogul > Touch Pro > Touch Pro 2 > Hero > EVO 3D > EVO 4G LTE > HTC One
Hmm HTC only... OK I think I can remember..
Mogul>touch>touch pro>Diamond>touch pro2>hero>evo 4g>shift>3d>evo lte>and now the one. I think the only sprint HTC devices I havent had are the design and the 6700
And yes... Every one of those was unlocked or rooted. I hate stock anything. As for other smartphones I've had moment, pre, epic touch, nexus s, photon q, 8830, 9630, 9650, and 9930.
Wow Lol that looks similar to my nexus box collection. Have you put ROMs on these yet? PM me

Mogul was my first smartphone, Evo, Hero, One. I held out as much as I could till the One came along. Wife works for Sprint so we go back to the Nextel iden days.
I would consider myself a HTC fanboy. I have bounced to Samsung once or twice just to come back to HTC. Here is my list excluding non-htc devices
PPC6700-MOGUL-HTC TOUCH-TOUCHPRO-TOUCHPRO2-EVO4G-EVO3D-EVOLTE-HTCONE
I have been on sprint forever because my mom worked for Nextel back in the day.

I know this is a lot of pictures and I "think" these reflect my cell evolution since the 90's I'm missing a whole bunch of them...when I worked for Verizon, they will give me every single new phone to demo it

Hey all.
Basically i just want to hear all your thoughts on your current devices, and what you think of the next device in that product family.
My thoughts.
My first android device was the Motorola defy which really sold android for me, the fact i could treat a phone horribly by accident and it not care was a really solid selling point. The developer community for it was really quite strong too, it even receiving CM10 before my current S2.
The original transformer isn't the prettiest, lightest and fastest tablet anymore (not that it was ever lightest SO MUCH GLASS) but it was and is my first tablet and still works amazingly today. Good job Asus.
My current phone is the Samsung Galaxy S 2 which i bought outright after everyone that had one giving raving reviews and a quick view of the forum showed a very active community. Little did i know the issues the developers faced to get the aosp roms working properly, it is not pretty and it is entirely the fault of Samsung and their hardware partners (I am looking at you, yamaha). I know this and love the developers for supporting my S2 so well, especially codeworkx whom has been moving devices lately.
I love the idea of getting the S3, but i would only be going for the larger screen and if all i want is the larger screen why not go even larger and get the Note 2? Especially after its drop test video. It is a tank of a phone.
The One X+ Kind of interests me with unlocked bootloaders etc. But the fact i have to flash the kernel separately to the ROM every time (or at least that is my understanding) would really annoy me.
After the defy i would rush to a unlocked bootloader on a Motorola. That and screen size were the only issues i had with my defy.
But my current plan runs out in December which is only a few months away and i would love some ideas on devices coming into Christmas season.
Currently i am thinking Note 2, but i don't want to have half baked aosp roms because of hardware support. Ideas?
And yes doing a BYO 6 month plan with my local carrier is an option.
How bout this one?

HTC 100% of the time.
There are some really cool devs and contributors who have written apps and scripts that enable you to flash everything all at once, kernel included.

I have the SGSIII and the One X. In the case of the One X (not the One X+ but it's basically a refresh of the One X) yes, you do have to extract and flash the boot.img via your pc using fastboot and the flash the modules via recovery...not as bad as it sounds. It's a great phone.
The SGSIII not only has a bigger screen but a higher resolution than the SGSII. There are many ROMs for it and in the case of the US variants I've flashed ROMs made for the AT&T variant on my T-Mobile one. (The international version also has great development.)

Hey Tommy thanks for the reply, i take it your experience is from the EVO?
Thanks Babydoll one of my friends has the one x which i rooted/cm10ed for him the other day, it was an interesting look into HTC custom roms and i must say it is not overly difficult or anything. And i did see the scripts Tommy was talking about, they would be nice in easing the transition. How do you find the one x build quality? I heard it was hit and miss between users.

(I'm still unsure if I want to)
I have a normal phone for calls and texting. Phones are expensive here, (One X, S3 - 600$ unlocked, Xperia Z, HTC Butterfly 900$) and no contract systems. Should I get an iPod touch 5? I love how it runs all games smoothly with no compatibility issues, Walking Dead 1-5 is exactly the same as the PC counterpart.
Vita is also an option but it's over priced here at 400$, memory and games cost a ton(50$+)
Will not leave Android, will get a Nexus7. Which of the above two should I get? Any other ideas? (400$ budget)

I'm giving my AHD to a friend that has a crappy old phone. He will be very surprised. I ordered a Nexus 4, wasn't planning on it, but I saw that they were in stock and just followed through with it.
