HTC Shift - ROM Radio 1.30.453.0 - Shift Development

Hi,
Very strange issue. I updated a new Shift (Italian version) with thaihugo Lite ROM version. First Liberated, then HardSPL, then ROM Radio then ROM Image. Everything goes as expected and the 3G/HSDPA connection works fine for about 30-40 min even from WM side and also from Windows 7 side. After those 30-40 min I can't get anymore the 3G/HSDPA connection working...
I see the HSDPA indicator trying to connect but after few tries is keept not connected and in Windows 7 side I have a connection issue icon and when I try on it and try to fix the issue, Windows 7 told me that there is a DNS problem. My Vodafone SIM card is OK as I check it on my other Shift (US version) and works perfectly.
I created few customs ROMs based on the Radio ROMs from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369502
and using this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=98006&d=1215573689
to make the Radio ROMs compatible with HTC Shift and then writed the Radio ROM back in my HTC Shift using "CustomRUU.exe" from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=79455&d=1207358944
but without any success because my HTC Shift ROM Radio version is 1.30 and those ROM's are higher version so after upload them I get sound noise, no Phone working and WM freeze so I restored back to thaihugo Radio ROM and now wait for a Radio ROM solution for my 3g/HSDPA connectivity.

Dropping calls - NOOB Alert

Hi,
I am having a dropped call problem.
I have a tilt and have upgraded to the ATT 6.1 ROM. It says CE OS 5.2.1622 Build 18128.0.4.4. The ROM version is 1.62.502.0 dated 1/17/08. The radio version is 1.27.14.09. The Protocol Version is 22.45.88.07H.
It seems that when the calls drop, the arrows under the "H" or the "E" are showing that the radio is trying to connect.
I have installed the tweak application and am using most of the "recommended" settings. I also have HTC home customizer but that's about it.
I also have a problem with emails where occasionally instead of opening the email I've tapped it goes to the last application.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Dave
Try the download from the htc site, for whatever reason, i think you may have a radio compatible with 6.0. So you could also try a newer radio.
Try Upgrading
Hello Dave,
By the device information you have provided, it sounds like you have the older ATT Tilt ROM Upgrade From January. The newest one, that upgrades your radio, CE Build, and Protocol, also upgrades you to wm6.1. I don't believe you have 6.1 based on your device information. You can find the Rom Upgrade here: http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=67&cat=2&dl_id=94. You can also find detailed ROM Flashing Instructions if you haven't flashed before here: http://www.htc.com/uploadedFiles/Co...lt+Detailed+ROM+Installation+Instructions.pdf . FYI, if you haven't flashed before, you should remove your SIM and storage cards and disable storage card encryption before flashing and make sure that you hard reset before you flash. This update will update your radio and other device aspects that could very well solve your dropped call issues. Good luck,
-Dave
Thank you very much

Wi-Fi Trouble

Lately I've been having trouble connecting thru wifi. I went to the wifi settings, under Network Adapter and when I select the wifi adapter I see that's set for server assigned IP, but in the field below this there's this weird numbers (fe80::218:41ff:fe2) instead of the IP.
Is anybody else having this problem?
I've been able to get rid of this by Hard resetting a couple of times, but it's a hassle having to re-install & configure everything.
I got my unit second-hand a couple of weeks ago, everything was fine till I changed the SPL from 1.0 Olipro to 3.28 Hard. Since then I've flashed 3.29 & 3.56 Hard, same problem, like I said before a Hard Reset fixes this for a while.
Today I flashed HTC rom 3.34.721.2 & radio 1.70.19.09 and all was fine. A while later I noticed the same weird "IP".
I've read in some threads here people reporting trouble or lossing their wifi, but I've never read of an answer or the reason for this identified.
So...anybody have an Idea?
It does display such a thing when on server assigned IP indeed, but it works just fine that way, wouldn't call it a "problem".
Is your ROM a WM6.1 one? If it's 6.0 as might be since you had HardSPL 1.0 and don't say you changed ROM, you should leave HardSPL 1.0. The 3.x versions are for WM6.1 only.
EDIT: I just read the line where you say you flashed another ROM and it works - that emphasizes my thought that your previous ROM was 6.0 and you flashing the not compatible 3.x SPLs broke WiFi connection and other things like the 3G display that didn't work. Now you flashed a 6.1 ROM and it's fine again as it's OK with the SPL you have now.
Actually my ROM was WM 6.1
If you'd read my signature you'd find that my old ROM (3.28.405.0 WWE) & my new ROM (3.34.721.2 WWE) are both WM 6.1. That's why I wanted to update my Hard SPL in the first place.
My wifi started acting up when I updated the Hard SPL. Now I flashed the latest HTC WM 6.1 ROM & I haven't had any more trouble with my wifi. (At least for now)
Thanks
I have the same problem tried re-flashing with new spl and new roms but no joy. It began while I was on stock rom from orange tried to flash to dutty xtreme 2.1 problem still there.
Now I have kept the custom rom and reflashed to spl 1.14 stock and problem is still there. My wifi seems permanantly messed up. In the IP box I have fe80::218:41ff:fec6
Please someone help.

No network after new ROM :(

I just flashed my Diamond with the: RUU_Diamond_HTC_NOR_2.03.409.1_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe
I'm an norwegian that's in the US studying, so they only gave me the norwegian version. Anyways, everything worked fine until flash, but now my phone refuses to register on the network (AT&T)!
Took the sim-card back to the at&t nokia phone, worked the first time...
I really wants to use my Diamond instead of the crappy nokia, but it would be a shame to downgrade to 1.93 (which worked just fine...).
Someone, please have a solution for me?
simply install a new radio....try 1.00.25.07 that seems to be the only quadband radio..
(you have to flash an hspl before)
It's stuck on 0% and won't continue... Tried several roms :-/
no service?????
is there a soution to this no network problem
THERE IS A CROSS IN THE RECEPTION BAR AND WHEN YOU DIAL OUT IT SAYS "OPERATION FAILED"
any replies appreciated
Quite bad if the official RUU more or less bricks the device, at least turns into just a little computer
It screwed up my Diamond aswell The gprs is completely dead, been up all night trying to fix it, several hard resets etc, nothing helps... if it was a cooked rom I could tolerate it but official roms screwing up our phones this easily pisses me off.
Mine worked again, with the old 1.93 rom!!
What the hell did they do to 2.03? I suppose the radio rom is different at least... But I couldn't change to the old radio when I had 2.03, tried using the HardSpl...
Is it possible to flash _once_ with everything from 2.03, but the 1.00.25.05 radio (which is the one from 1.93)? Doing it sequentually doesn't work.
So what I did, as the final solution:
Flash with stock 2.03 rom
HardSPL
Flash with 1.05.25 radio
Works perfect!
Hmm i did the other way round with my o2 XDA Diamond (1.93 Stock)
1. Hard SPL
2. New Radio Rom (1.09.25.23)
3. 2.03 official Ger HTC Rom (without vendor lock)
works great as well
I've seen this issue a couple of times too. With 1.93 as well as with 2.03. Did not figure out what was the cause but never had a chance to bring the device back to life with some uninstallation or radio flash. I always went back to the SPB Backup from the night before it stopped working propperly.

need link for RUU(rom update utility) on my htc wizard(cingular8125)!

help!
need a direct link of RUU(rom update utility) for my htc wizard(cingular8125).
i have everything in place.
need to downgrade my rom
from haseeb's wm6.5
(which i've encountered some wi-fi issues[in the comm manager switch for wlan doesn't turn on])
to ham3r's wm6.1..
i have both .nbf files for radio and rom..
thanks!!
I'm running haseeb's wm 6.5 on my Wizard with no wi-fi problems. Do you by any chance have your Wizard connected to your computer via usb? I noticed that you cannot turn on wi-fi whilst connected. If you go to Comm. Manager the wi-fi icon is 'greyed out' and can't be selected. As soon as I unplugged the USB, I was able to search for wi-fi networks and set up my Home Network properly.
still doesn't work..
i tried both ways connected or not.
i've read some threads having the same problem.
and i think it has something to do with its radio version..
what radio version do you use?
would you mind giving me a direct link?
boot time was slow..
too many bugs,,
maybe flashing the recommended radio version for hasseb's rom can work this out..
thanks!
Please
Can you tell me how you got all of the stuff ready because im stuckish.
its done!
flashed its original rom first which is
RUU_Wizard_225111_22511102_022511_CWS_WWE_Ship_1
extracted the ruu folder
paste the first nk.nbf(os) ham3r's wm6.1
flashed it
and the other nk.nbf (radio) recommended radio version for ham3r's wm6.1
flashed it too
cross fingers...
boot time fast..
done! i got it all working..

radio doesn't work after installed nand omgb 1.2.3 {2.3.7}

I tried installing nand omgn 1.2.3 {2.3.7} on my T-Mobile (GER) and no signal, so I went back to windows Mobile, but no signal still. The phone can find network (China Mobile and China Union), but can't register the network. I tried installing stock TMO GER ROM, but the problem is still there. I also tried MTTY and info 8 found a bad block but task 2a doesn't work at all. So is it a hardware problem? Now my Rhodium is just a PDA....Thanks!
