Ok after receiving my warranty replacement Touch Pro 2 from T-Mobile I go to unlock it with Hard-SPL and of course got the license error. I got this squared away with the developers but now when I run Hard-SPL in automatic mode nothing happens...Windows 7 acts like its working for a few seconds but no windows pop up, no error messages, nothing. The phone screen doesn't go black or reboot either. Trying manual mode the phone resets but then it just seems to hang at the 0% progress indicator forever. I sync just fine...not sure what else I can tell you guys...what is going wrong? With my first TP2 I never had a problem...
Try running as administrator and disabling your anti-virus software when you run it.
did that, still no luck, any other ideas?
Have you got your issue resolved btw? I'm stuck with the same problem now...

I picked up my Tilt on Friday, and it's been working relativly well. Last night, I went to install blackberry connect, and once I got to the settup, my phone locked up and turned itself off. Now, when i try to turn it on, I get the AT&T splash, it goes to the windows mobile flash, and never gets any farther. In fact, the only way to turn it off is to remove the battery. I brought it back to the AT&T store and they said they won't be able to get me a replacement until next week, but I'm going to need the phone up and running again by the weekend. Anyone ever see this problem and have any idea what to do? Thanks.
first you flash HardSPL on to it from the sticky in Kaiser Upgrading! Then you flash the the AT-T ROM on to your Kaiser and it should be good to go.
Have you ever used Mtty? If so then put your Kaiser into Bootloader mode and run Mtty cmd>Info 8 and see if you have any bad blocks if not you cool. you don't have to do this i just would like to see for myself if you do.
Well I'd rather not flash my rom, especially since they said they would replace it by the weekend (that is, does flashing void the warrenty?)
And I would love to use Mtty to give you an idea of what happened, but I'm not sure how. I tried a quick google but got no help. Thanks for the help and quick reply!!!

I realize this is a little late but this info may help others. The same thing happened to me. I installed BB connect then boom, Tilt never turned back on.
Solution:
If you are seeing the splash screen, (assuming you mean the Windows Mobile SS) then you DO NOT need to re-flash ROMS. Hint: If you are seeing the at&t logo prior to the Windows Mobile SS then ROM is entact.
All one needs to do is perform a hard reset (press and hold the right and left softkeys while pressing and releasing reset with stylus). A message should appear "This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to the manufacturer default settings. Press SEND to restore manufacturer defaults, or press any other button to cancel." After you hit the SEND key the ROM rebuilds itself and you'll be good to go. Hopefully you've backed up everything.
cheers
Howdy, i have looked at all the guides, done loads of research into upgrading my Ignito.
I have tried to use the Olinex 1.40 and also the signed version....
But when i load it all up, go through the correct steps etc.. My phone screen looks like its just had some dodgy virus and looks like its about to die and then slowly turns off...
It then does a full reboot and its like i have a brand new phone again...
I am at a loss as to why it does this..
Anyone have any tips or tricks as to how to get around this problem ?
Any help at all will be very very welcome
Cheers
Sam
when you do the hard spl, you will only get a black screen and then it will reboot, just as you describe.
Hold the volume down key and then soft reset, if you see OLI anywhere, then it worked.
The problem is when i try the upgrade the screen seems to die aftera bout 10secs and then it says its fully done.
So there isnt enough time for the Hard SPL to be upgraded....
Anyone ?? Please....

Maybe you could give more detailed information, what exactly are you doing, what does the PC end of the process say etc.
Can you take any screenshots, what SPL do you have now - the guide suggests that 1.93 could be better for you than 1.4?
Kim
It says complete after about 10seconds and then the phone reboots fully.
The current one i believe is 1.93.....
I have tried both of the Olinex versions to no avail at all.....

I guess no one is helping because you're not giving us enough information, procedure, XP or Vista, have you tried Hard-SPL 1.93, screenshots or better description of the problem.
Screen goes funny and then reboots just isn't enough
Kim
Well i have tried both of the Olinex versions both the 1.4 and the 1.93.
I am using windows vista and the mobile device center, its fully connected as i do a sync etc before hand.
I then load the Romloader that does the usual tick this, tick that etc.
Once that has happened i click the upgrade button, it then confirms i am going from the current SPL do the one i have chosen.
I click ok and then it goes to the progress section where it says it could take upto 10min, the screen on the phone then looks like it has got a virus and starts to look like its dying.
Meanwhile after about 10 seconds it tells me that upgrade is done, this is while the phone reboots and starts like its a brand new phone again with no changes that i can see...
In all honesty i can't see what i am doing wrong
Scrath what i just put, as i was typing that i was trying the upgrade via my mates XP laptop and it now says in the bootloader 1.93 Olinex...
I am going to guess this is upgraded... lol

Great, glad it's sorted, I was gonna say I don't have much experience with Vista (an' I don't want to )
I'm sure that I've read that there can be issues with the Vista device center(sic), A quick search of XDA-Dev will help.
If you want to eliminate the PC <-> Ignito pitfalls maybe try Suillers method of upgrading direct from the device Internal Storage.

Hi , ive had the issue with randomly being stuck in the SPL a few weeks ago but the problem seemed to just go away by itself . Yesterday i flashed a ROM and noticed that after the first or second reboot i was getting stuck at the boot screen (Not the SPL the screen after that with the info in red) .
Today i flashed back to my current ROM and noticed the same problem again when installing programs one cab would fail and all other installs after that . When i rebooted i got stuck at the boot screen (again not the SPL)
so after another try i finally got all programs installed and rebooted but when i reached the today screen my background was gone and i got an exception about the programs in the startup folder not being found .
After opening file explorer it seems most programs are corrupt and will not run . Has anyone got any ideas on what i should try to fix this ?
Update im afraid its not good news i tried to work around the problem with sprite backup but things seem to have got worse .
Im now permanently stuck at the smart mobility screen with my radio information being displayed in red . Ive tried flashing a new rom and hard reseting which is all perfectly stable but i just cant get past the smart mobility screen .
Whats weird is the led on the left is blinking green , Any ideas before i downgrade (tiltscreen) to a Sony X1 (Dpad and hardware buttons)

Hi there,
We didn't get there the same way, and I don't have the 'blinking green' LED, But I've got a similar "stuck" problem on the Forum here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508100
I'll follow yours and you can check this one out...I may be getting some help from 'higher powers' soon if I don't find a resolution on my own.
Wish I could actually ANSWER your question, and I'll let you know if I find anything else myself...
On the un-bricked road less traveled,

Am ok this is weird everythings back to normal now I turned it on this morning and it boots up fine no problems installing programs or anything .
Confused
That's Good...Though Agreed Confusing...News
Wow...so, good for you! I'm happy that your's did not proceed as mine has...or better said, has NOT.
Wish mine would just 'turn on and boot up fine', but it appears that I may be Murphy's bastard child.
Murphy has a theory of relativity that has nothing to do with Mass or the Speed of Light...
It simply states that if you're a relative of Murphy's, it WILL happen to YOU...hence the offspring reference.
On the other hand, confusion can be good...I'll bet it had you searching the Forum and finding out stuff you didn't know.
If nothing else, maybe you found some cool new ways to get into completely different kinds of trouble!
Glad to see your out of the glitch, hang in there...not by your neck!

I finally installed Windows 7 RC1 and finally got my Blackstone to sync with Windows so I thought I would crack my phone to be able to try all the new cozy roms
I must have done something wrong, the two roms Ive tried is Duttys WM 6.5 and his RUU_Duttys_V3.7_XT_5.2.21051.1.6.4_1.59.709.0_Radio_52.62.25. Both of them is very slow and buggy and sucky 8 bit colors untill I turn off the screen and turns it back on, I cant get the call/radio function to work either.
When I boot it into bootloader it shows 1.14olinex and it should show 1.56olinex so I guess I fubared something :/ I tried the "Troubleshooting - manual SSPL" instructions but when its in the bootloader mode and showes SPL v 1.07.OliNex it never shows USB when I connect it to the computer.
I have a Blackstone bought from Telenor in Sweden.
What can be wrong? What can I do?
BTW, Im running my old Qtek 9100/HTC Wizard now, damn its oldschool! =) And damn I missed that wonderful keyboard!
Here's your solution:

Doh now I got it to work, dont know what I missed the last time Thanx for the tip!
I believe my battery ran dead and i didnt notice, now my when you press the power button the blue o2 loading screen comes on then about 2 seconds later the device restarts and same thing over and over.
If i plug a an ac adpater in (i've tried 2 and an incar charger) the light ring goes up twice then then phone triggers a start up and gets stuck in the loop. I've tried leaving it in this loop for 10mins see if it would charge the battery but no luck.
I have tried doing a hard-reset 3 times now it says its done ok soon as i press vol up to boot it goes into the loop.
Is there anyway i can charge the battery if this is the case or is there another problem thats causing this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Are you sure the battery is dead?
If you left it in the loop for 10 mins I would have thought that it would flatten it such that it doesn't light up at all.
I know the battery was very low before it started doing this and i hadnt installed anything new in months.
Usualy on the o2 screen it shows red writing at the top and bottom, its not showing that right now if that means anything.
Its a stock o2 uk rom with no changes to the radio and official battery.
I've just installed the latest rom from the o2 website (keeping it stock incase i need to send it off to them) and still doing the reboot on startup thing.
Contacted o2 see what they say but if anyone else has any ideas im open to suggestions
i've got the same issue and the battery won't charge ...i suppose it could be a battery issue, but i'd be sure about it prior to buy a new battery..
Battery was fine, i sent the phone to the o2 repair centre got it back week later fixed

did you use a modified rom? ..i was told htc repairs only unmodified products, could you gimme more information about it?
No it was not a modified rom, default o2 xda ignito rom.
Me too!
I had the same issue. I tried soft-resets, hard-reset, swapping batteries with another phone (even tried warming the battery in my hands which was suggested somewhere!), reflashing a couple of different ROM's, including Shaks 4.30 and the latest Telstra ROM (2.07.841.2 WWE). I tried using MTTY to reflash the ROM, and reflashing using the DiamonCustomRUU.exe from the PC. (OliNex 1.40 SPL). All of the reflashes were in Bootloader mode (hold pwr and vol down) because I couldn't get it to the point of ActiveSync connection.
Nothing would work.
The winning step that bought me the joy (and relief) I was looking for was downgrading the radio from 1.09.25.23 to 1.00.25.05.
Also, I'm not sure if it is related, but I think the reset button under the stylus is stuffed because pressing it doesn't do anything.
Now I've escaped the reboot loop from hell, I'll run it for a few days before giving it back to my boss! If anyone's interested, I'll update you in a few days.

could you please tell me how you installed the radio, because when I use diamoncotumruu it stays at 0% and the finaly gives an error

I had to install the radio in Bootloader mode (hold pwr and vol down), but there was no issue with the install after doing this. Have you checked this thread? I don't know if that thread will help you fix your issue but it might be worth a look.
What exactly was the error message? Perhaps a search on that error message will help you.

I've tried it in bootloader mode, but it won't install...
the error number is 262. but that should be an active sync problem but I can't sync so I don't know what the problemm is
Not really on topic, but...

262 isn't an necessarily an ActiveSync problem, more of a connection problem. Try post 9 here. Or try uninstalling Active Sync altogether and installing radio and ROM via MTTY. Since it is a connection problem, you could even try a different USB cable.
But I suggest you post 262 queries here, here, here or here.
BTW, Are you using XP?
