How to sync a playlist from your pc directly to the external sd card? I can only get the music transferred to the internal sd. If I wanted the files on my ext sd, I've been tranferring them manually from internal out to external. There must be a simpler way to do this.

I just bought a SD card(8gb) to my SGS but my problem is that, when i'm about to download for example the sd card files(not the apk file) for Dungeon Defenders:First wave it says that there is no room for it on my internal SDcard so how do i install the files on my external sd card(2.5 GB left)? Is it something wrong with my sd card or is it just a setting? Because it must be possible to install the SD files to the external SD card and not just the internal SD card?
PS i got a Micro SD hc.
I am pretty sure you can't dl those files to an external, only internal. Try moving other files to your external to free up some space on your internal.
Thats what I have recently learnt,
its misleading to have a name apps2sd & not able to move apps to external sd.
Apps2sd, does mean moving an app to your external sd, just not the file for gameloft and other games requiring extra dl.
Sent from my Iphone killing I9000
I don't understand what you mean, does apps2sd move the apps which don't require extra dl to external sd?
I don't think so as I cant move them to external by any means it only moves to internal sd partition.
seems like the only SD the phone sees for app storage is the internal SD.
you can't use externalSD for app storage/usage?
not that i can see i've tried to even go in and physically move games on to the sd card and then it wants me to fully reinstall the games so i don't think so i imagine its more for music and movies or thats what i use it for now anyways
i think it can't be install straight to external sd, but is there a script to switch so your external sd become internal, and internal sd become external
everytime i download a file or anything from the web, instead of creating a download folder in the root of the SD card, it created one under the Internal Storage....how can i make the SD card to be my Default storage?
SDcard is internal, SDcard-ext is the external card. Haven't seen anyway to default downloads to the external card.
there has to be a way to make the Micro SD card to be the default for downloads and what not. All my other phones have created subfolders under the MicroSD card.
I do not want to use my internal 8gb to save PDF files when i download them from the internet. I want to use my 32GB MicroSD card like it does on other phones...
This has been a NIGHTMARE. I just realized sdcard is internal and sdcard-ext is my actual SD Card. I just assumed sdcard was my flash memory card as this was the case with my Droid X. I changed ES File to the ext location as my default, and my browser's DL section to the ext location as well as Titanium backup. I can't figure out how to save my E-Mail attachments to the ext directory though and I have to continually move them manually, not to mention every app is using the sdcard directory (internal memory) and thinking it is my actual Micro SDHC card. This is a NIGHTMARE and I have read it is not a Motorola problem as new Samsung and HTC phones have the same problem, it is an Android problem. Why the heck would Google change the naming scheme of the SD Card when it worked fine before? Anyway if ANYONE has any solutions suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
I totally agree. There had to be a way to make all downloads, etc save to sd c
ard-ext.
It's probably going to take a custom Rom to fix.
Is there a way to prevent auto mount of the internal storage whenever we connect to a PC via USB? The external SD card should still be auto-mounted.
I use my 6GB internal storage as the primary SDCard on my O2X and the external SD card as my storage area for music, movies etc. Essentially that my ext SD is what I frequently use for transferring media from PC to Phone and very rarely transfer stuff to the internal storage.
On the int storage if you have apps, pics being used as wallpapers and widgets, etc. then USB auto-mount of int storage disables all of them when the fact is that you just need the ext SD card.
Any ideas on how the USB auto-mounts can be controlled?
Thank you.
Before AOKP, there was a folder on the internal sd card that displayed the external sd card. I guess that was some kind of special link.
Is there a way to do this now so the EMMC (external sd card) will show up in the internal sd card as a folder?
Same question here. Can't get any music player except for some of the music folder players to read the emmc folder. How can we change the old "external_sd“ to point to the new emmc folder with aokp
