[Q] Boot animation sound - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way enable the boot sound? Does it have anything to do with my settings? I don't recall hearing any sound during boot / shutdown animation...

I have (finally) figured it out!
The sound setup is in System Volume
If i mute the 'clicky' sound, it also mutes the Power On/Off sound...
That sucks though

I've screwed up bluetooth somehow.

It use to be that my bluetooth (jaw bone) would ignore the volume set on the phone. I've screwed something up by where now if I set the phone to vibrate (consequently turning sound off) the headset turns it's volume down as well. I played with the volume control on the phone and indeed when I move the slider up and down, the bluetooth volume is effect.
I played around with some registry setting I read here that could possibly enhance bluetooth audio quality, but now I've got it like this and it sucks.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Vibrate for call, volume for other

for my old SE phone, i had a volume (goes up n down with the volume keys on the side) and a silent mode (hold the # key to toggle on/off). changing the volume will not affect the ringtone for incoming calls. having silent mode on i still have sound for everything else except incoming calls will vibrate
so my question is, is there any way to set the SE X1 to vibrate for calls, and have volume for other things (such as watching videos, listening to music, etc)?
i've been playing with the On/Vibrate/Off... i am only able to either set it to either everything on (ring, sound for other stuff), or vibrate (vibrate, and no sound for other stuff -_-), and off (everything silent..)
please help! thnks

Have a look in settings > Sound & Display, there are several different volume adjustments in there. Ringer, media and system volume.

even i test *#*#0*#*#* and speaker does not work .
maybe it came with a bad speaker from factory
return it to get an exchange

No sound, only alarm makes a sound

Hello All,
I just put CM9 alpha 2 on my TP but I can't get sound through the speakers or the headphones, ever. The only thing that makes a sound is the alarm, so I know the speakers work.
If I go into Sound > Volumes, the "Music, video, games&other media" icon has a slash through it as does "Notifications". The "Alarms" icon has no slash, is lit up, and the volume works for that.
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?
thanks.
[solved] Didn't know, but if you hold down the power button there is a sound control at the bottom you can turn it back on.

Volume Button Preview/Feedback sound

The volume keys make the most annoying sound when adjusting ringtone volume. Is there any way to disable the sound level preview so I can adjust my ringtone level without blowing my ears out or making a scene. I forget to turn volume down before I start work. Now when I turn it down it goes through the sound and is loud and obnoxious. Also before I go to sleep I turn it up and its loud and kills my ears in a silent room. I just want the volume buttons to change get the volume without making a beeping noise to preview that sound level. I might sell this phone because of the damn volume buttons.
