I don't believe this problem has anything to do with CM6 per se, but I never experienced this situation with the stock Sprint OS...
My wife's Hero is set up with 3 POP mail accounts. They work fine sending and receiving, however the phone chimes frequent notifications for new mail when there is, in fact, no new mail. The phone was running CM6 RC1, and I just flashed the 0907 nightly, but am still getting these phantom notifications.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they are greatly appreciated!

Hi!
I recently upgraded to Alcaline's excellent WM6.1 ROM and so far it has worked really well.
Today one of my colleagues asked me why I was sending him emails over and over again. Apparantly the email client in my Wings kept sending the same email several times.
When I checked, the email was still in the Outbox folder and it was not until I removed it from there that the spamming stopped.
Anyone else experienced a similar thing? I don't know if this has to do with the new ROM or something else.
/Peter
Hey just wondering if anyone else is having any issues on receiving their emails to the phone? I keep pressing send/receive to get my emails but nothing is coming at all. But when i looked at my email box on the computer i had 3 new messages. Nothing is coming to my phone at all...what i did get was an email from 2 days ago. I called ATT and also HTC and they couldnt figure out whats going on. I even deleted and put in the email to see if it would work but nothing. So im just wondering if theres any way to fix this issue? or also does anyone else have this issue?
mm i have noticed this too
it even feels as though it is selectively choosing which emails to dnload.
i tried changing storage settings and upping all the limits but no go, for me it only does this with my gmail account, so i just put it down to gmail and gave up...
SAME HERE!!!!
I too am having the same issue I am running PDAcorner v20. I have a gmail account tied into my phone. what i have noticed to far is that from 1 perticular sender it doesnt dl from but this causes the rest of the email not to dl. if i delete that 1 email from that sender and click send/receive all others will come in fine.
i have already tried a few radios and roms thinking it was the prob but I was wrong. its been going on since i say maybe around a week to a week and a half.

i'm also running pda corner v20, have eitherone of you tried deleting the gmail accont from the phone and set it up from scratc? i havent had any issues with my gmail.
yea i deleted my gmail account and started it from scratch....at that time it only downloaded an old email. but right now it seems like the emails are coming normal to me now....i think it was att issue cause later that night my phone went to EDGE instead of having 3G and then in the morning when i woke up it was back to 3G. So im thinking ATT was working on something and fixed the issue!
I also tried deleting and starting from scratch. I know its not the rom as I have tried several all with the same results. The wiered thing is like I said before if i choose NOT to d/l email from that specific sender all my emails d/l with no problems. I really can't understand whats going on. I have neva heard of anything like this
Im currently running JacHero 2.3.5. I have a problem with SMS. It happens quite often.
When the new SMS comes, the SMS that I get is the old SMS. Even more SMS after that, i still just got that OLD SMS. I have to restart my G1 and the prob is solved but it still happens again later.
Has Anyone experienced this problem?
It's buggy update to the hero build leakdroid released.
Its a know issue. It has to do with memory being full and killing the message. If you remove your widgets and running proccess it help it. But you can also upgrade to his newest version 2.4 to resolve the issue to.
Hey guys, I'm having a SMS timestamp issue since rooting and installing SenseUI rom and CM rom.
Note, this did -not- happen on the stock n1 rom. I'm currently in China using China Mobile so I haven't been able to test this back in the states (TMobile) yet.
Basically, when I send a message to anyone (android, iphones, etc), their received timestamp of my message is 7-8 minutes in the past. Obviously this is quite the annoyance for threaded messages on smartphones. I can replicate this by sms'ing my own phone and the timestamp of the received message is 8 minutes before I sent it.
I've tried everything I can think of. I've even nandroid restored my original backup and the issue is still happening. I've turned on/off the "get time from network" settings, updated radio and redowngraded, tried 3-4 different roms, but nothing is working.
Anyone seen this before or have any ideas? Frustrating the hell out of me!
anyone have any ideas?
Yesterday, mid conversation my SGS decided it wouldn't send any of my sms messages. Receiving sms messages is no problem and calls work fine both ways; MMS Messages also send with no issue. Data connections are fine, I've been receiving data through both edge and 3G. The only issue is that i can not send sms messages no matter what the length.
I was running Darky's ROM v9.2 but as an attempt to fix it i reflashed (wipe) to Darky's ROM v9.3, it did not fix the issue. I've tried sending them from different locations, flicking airplane mode on and off.
I've tried using both the stock Android messaging app and Handcent SMS App.
Does anyone have any insight on what is causing this, it's rather annoying and searching has been fruitless, i can't find anyone else who has even had this issue.
Thanks in advance, Tom.
Edit: I fixed the issue, my SMCS number had vanished.
