Hey guys,
i flashed my cappy from cog to the froyo but data and voice didnt seem to work, flashed back to stock then did a master clear and reflashed to froyo and same issue no data or voice, it shows the airplane mode although the setting says its off...
any suggestions?
EDIT: com.android.phone seems to be the problem, i cant access it using the *#... etc method...
how can i fix this?
I would try doing a master clear, then one-clicking. Also, some others said that simply rebooting may help. Also, is applicable, dont restore "system apps and data" from titanium backup, only "missing apps plus data" hope this helps
nope didnt work, i didnt even restore anything yet, its just weird because everything works flawless except voice and data....any help is appreciated

Access Point Names (is it empty? is there an entry but it doesnt have a green dot next to it?)
Menu button
Reset to Default
OR
if default does not work, try adding a NEW APN. you will find settings around the forums for APN
Go to settings and do a reset to factory in there. That fixes a similar error for me.

1.) Master Clear with current ROM
2.) Flash to stock JF6 using ODIN
3.) UPDATE TO JH7 using KIES MINI (I think this may fix the airplane mode issue)
4.) Flash to Froyo using ODIN'

nope, i cant even access mobile networks it gives me an error "check simcard if its inserted" but it is, and when i flash back to jm or jh it works fine...

So only the update to JI6 (Froyo) causes the issue?
Maybe the link you downloaded from was corrupt? There was about 20 links last night haha.
yea only the ji6, cant be corrupt because i downloaded the orginal (was one of the first to download it) and a mirrored one.... still something fishy, be in mind i did have cog with voodoo and i never disabled it the lag fix... but im guessing the whole rom wouldnt work if that was the issue correct?
VooDoo would have been cleared when you did Master Clear, I believe.
Maybe try the Kies Mini update to JH7 and THEN flash the Froyo.

just do a simple re-boot......it looses the baseband after froyo update...a simple re-boot gets the baseband back.....try it!

That's the FIRST thing I do if I run into any problems on android
im trying the kies jh7 then flash method, but i did reboot several times and baseband never came back....should it be unplugged to pc or plugged?
Let me know how the Kies JH7 and then Flash method works for you; I think it SHOULD work because I was on stock JH7 when I flashed to Froyo JI6 and I have had nothing but a great experience since!
sorry guys neither method worked, im guessing its a simple stupid fix...... its getting frustrating ...........
I was reading other posts where guys were having that issue with phones that were not on att network. This seems to lock you onto att and no other network will work. At least that was the opinion of the other posts.
FOUND THE PROBLEM BUT CANT SOLVE IT !!!!
com.android.phone ---> is corrupted, i tried going into it and it doesnt let me giving me a FC..

Start from scratch my friend:
1.) Re-Flash Stock ODIN JF6 and then update to JH7 using Kies Mini
2.) REDOWNLOAD Froyo JI6 using the same link I did:

3.) Before Flashing JI6 please do a master clear, factory data reset and FORMAT all your SD cards
Then that should solve any problems you have buddy!

To do a master clear, enable usb debugging on your captivate, go to the homescreen, open odin, plug in your device. Once it is recognized press master clear from the homescreen. It will clear it and reboot your device

Im new to flashing roms, so bare with me. I flashed my first rom last week, using Andromeda3 and Ursa Minor #2 kernel, everything worked great except, i couldnt connect to 3G/H, even though it showed up on notification bar, tried looking for answers, i ended up flashing different modems to no avail. So, i flashed back to stock eclair, used kies mini to upgrade to Froyo 2.2 UCKB1, Data worked. I then flashed UCKB2 rom, data didnt worked) i tried wiping cache and all that, still no data connection, btw, wfi worked. So i flashed back to UCKB1, again, everything worked perfectly. The other day, i flashed Fusion XI and GB bootloaders, i must say i like this rom very much, but again still couldnt connect to 3G/H, everything else worked, although i havent tested the GPS yet, i am getting amazing DL/UL speeds through wifi. Anyway, i searched XDA for any answers i could find and pretty much tried them all, seems like only KB1 3G will work, but any custom rom out there, data hasnt worked even though i see it in notification area, i'd use market and browser, but would say could not connect. Am i doing something wrong/ missing a step?? I really like Fusion XI and dont want to flash back to stock. Any help would be appreciated.

That's weird.
Try flashing the kb1 modem on fusion.
I did try flashing the KB1 modem, but that too, didnt work. it only works if i go back to stock KB1 for some reason.
where do you live? what Carrier are you with?
have you checked your APN settings?
fill in your location and carrier/ device info in your signature/ xda user information.
I Live in Southeastern Pennsylvania. And currently have AT&T as my carrier. I tried APN settings, but not sure what to set it too, i have used APN Manager from the Market.
Try resetting ur apn settings to default. Then reboot.

Settings, wireless and networks, mobile networks, access point names. Now hit the menu key and reset default apn well be on the bottom left...
Ok, tried that, still a no go connecting to data. I just flashed stock 2.1 then 2.2 update through Kies mini, i no longer have data connection even on official stock roms could this be a hardware issue??? gps sucks. ran a gps test using the app from market. other than that, everything else is working. what did i do wrong?

this is wat i did
wipe cache
wipe data and reset
install from sd CM7.2 rom
wipe cache
wipe data
reboot
again CWM recovery mode
install 782Hz oc kernel
wipe cache
wipe data
reboot
installed gapps after mounting sys and data
everything is wrking f9 no bootloop, no other issues
but when i tried accessing my SPs internet after setting APN and enabling data and all, i am nt able to access internet at all.
B4 CM7.2 i had GB 2.3.4 XXKPK and had no issues
as per the CM7.2 thread this ver is ok to go with for the custom rom
also tried the *#*#4636#*#* procedure by going to phone info> thr i can see that GPRS is in disconnected status.
i am using loop mobile
pls guyz help me out here i feel android is nothin without internet
is thr any fix tht i missed or nything i hav done wrong?

oc kernel is for 7.1 version. please try to reflash without overclocking...

ur right. but Squadzone confirmed on the dev thread that it can be used for CM7.2 as well. and how can OCing create issue with data access?

i have the same problem in cm7.2 rc1.2 mebitek..
any solution for this?
I also just enable the data connection and reboot the phone works for me.........sometimes ;p

Same problem in cyanmobile. I found way around it by creating one more apn that is a copy of the first and then I did some small changes like authentication type and apn type to default,internet and Chandler the name then I set Apn as the modded apn sometimes the connection starts if it doesn't I just switch back to original and voila the connection flashes for a sec and is back.

As I said just follow my method or do a factory reset after booting the phone. Then manually configure your apn that is a big I have faced in all cm roms. Try it both worked for me.

I have succesfully installed the official gingerbread update on my LG optimus Black last night. (allso did a soft-reset before installing the update trough LG update sw)
This morning I noticed thath I cannot connect to 3g mobile data. ( I didn't forget to requested the operators settings for internet connectivity).
I checked every setting, and didn't finde any app to block mobile data, ore so!
Is this a known issiu?
Is ther any app, or soft I can install to make the data-trafic work?
Reboot and try to enable and disable 2g only. Then install busybox and rommanager. Do a fix permission from within, reboot and you re all set ;-)

I'd say just forget abt the official update and install Zeus read alot about the official update from LG screwing things up with the phone.....

I managed to manually set the Destination for 3G. It seems that the settings sent by the provider are not saved.
The only Problem now is, that i am not abel to get the rights Settings for MMS. Can't recieve ore send MMS!!!
And the Phone runs exactly like on 2.2.2

Had the same problem before, had to call my service provider to ask them to send me the apn settings and had to set a new apn save set it as default it was the same case for my 3g apn settings aswell. Everytime I flash a new rom I would have to re-set it

I was recently given a Galaxy Ace as I bricked my LG P920! When I connect it to my home Wifi, it works when for a few mins then puts the phone into a reboot loop and only stops when I disconnect the wifi. The phone seems to work fine at all other times including when on 3G. It's not the wifi as it works fine on the wife's HTC Incredible S. Phone has not been rooted. Does anyone have this issue or know how to resolve?

No luck with that, problem keeps re-occurring.
Flash Stock
Try Flashing Stock firmware with odin!
I guess you have stock.
There is a random wifi problem in stock which sometimes reboots the phone because the wifi driver breaks.
So try CyanogenMod and there wont be any problems!
Dont worry about rooting.
You wont brick your phone.
Only way to completely brick an Ace is to use Rom manager. So just dont use it!

Check for a software update on your phone. IT fixed The problem for me.
If that doesnt help set your wifi connection up with a static(?) Ip adres on your phone. Worked for me as well.

What version of android is installed? Best way to do an Official update is via Kies. If you get the same issue with kies as I have (Crashes on startup) use Odin or install a custom rom via CWM.
Also try changing the WiFi channel via your routers settings. (you never know, might work)
