It just show the first booting screen and black screen back and forth.
I've tried getting into the recovery mode to do factory reset already, but when I choose reboot, it just go back to the first booting screen and the black screen again.
Anyone have suggestion??? Please help!!

On 1.0.1 I rooted using autonooter.. then I installed clockwordmod 3.0.0.5 selecting "nook old".. then I tried to boot into recovery and it keeps going to the page that says "touch the future of reading" with the logo, shutting off, turning on and going back to that page.. and so on..
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
[Update]
- Tried to run the solutions listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914690
- Doesn't Work. Nook just turns on to "touch the future of reading" screen, shuts off, and turns back on to that page.. and continuously does that.. Tried to do a factory reset and the 8 restarts..
Any advice? Thinking of trying to bring it in to B&N to return. Would they know it was rooted? I can't even get past that screen

There should be a repair file on this forum. Did you by any chance, ever "format boot"? If so, this might be the culprit, as it removes the ability to enter CWR because the boot sector is modified.
It's worth a shot...
hey, thanks for your reply!
I don't think I ever did format boot.. i don't even know what that is.. hehe
Ever figure this out? I really don't want to go back to stock. I didn't format boot either.
Never mind - found it elsewhere. You have to use cwr-removal.zip and remove the recovery. It happens if you flash the recovery and then immediately go into recovery mode before rebooting.
I have an galaxy s i9000m and it got rooted. After installing the Galaxy S Battery Icon mod and I rebooted my phone it just (apparently) bricked it. I went into the recovery mode and tried to factory reset but it didnt suceed. After reboot it either goes black after load screen or it proceeds to the start up mananger where I was confronted with a loop of "kernal something" and force close things. Before sending it to bell, is there a way I can fix it myself?
please help and thanks in advance!

if so flash a 3 file firmware with pit and repartition

Well I did it now... Okay so I thought I did a nandroid backup. Went ahead into clockwork and did a restore. But no restore! Now it's just stuck on the main bootup screen with the samsung logo displaying. I can get into the download mode. But when I hold volume up and power I get nothing. Can someone please tell me how to fix this? I have a verizon tab and I am still using the stock rom. Thank you

Good afternoon folks, I'm having a very big problem. Yesterday I was using my phone listening to music, I then received a text message in a group text. I went to pull down the notification center but my touch screen wasn't responding. I thought it was a one off but tried to open my phone and nothing was responding to my touch. I then did a reset (vol dnw+power) which restarted the phone but still the touch screen was unresponsive. Reset phone again now here I am in the infinite boot loop. It starts to galaxy note 8 screen and stays for about 30 sec then goes to recovery mode but will lock up and restart this process over again. I've tried to manually boot into recovery mode but it doesn't work. I'm able to boot to download mode where I've tried flashing with stock firmware but after flashing is restart back to the boot loop. Note 8 hasn't been flashed with anything custom before so this thing is a big mystery for me. Any help would be greatful. Thanks in advance

Make sure you flash the correct firmware for your model. What is SM-950u1 anyway?? You should also use the latest Odin 3.13.1 or higher. Odin lower than that is giving problems with Oreo firmware. Good luck. LJ

Thanks for your input, sm-n950u1 is the model number according to sam mobile site for the firmware. But found out that phone was still under manu. warranty after registering it on samsungs website. So i shipped it off yesterday so they can get to the bottom of it
