Good afternoon folks, I'm having a very big problem. Yesterday I was using my phone listening to music, I then received a text message in a group text. I went to pull down the notification center but my touch screen wasn't responding. I thought it was a one off but tried to open my phone and nothing was responding to my touch. I then did a reset (vol dnw+power) which restarted the phone but still the touch screen was unresponsive. Reset phone again now here I am in the infinite boot loop. It starts to galaxy note 8 screen and stays for about 30 sec then goes to recovery mode but will lock up and restart this process over again. I've tried to manually boot into recovery mode but it doesn't work. I'm able to boot to download mode where I've tried flashing with stock firmware but after flashing is restart back to the boot loop. Note 8 hasn't been flashed with anything custom before so this thing is a big mystery for me. Any help would be greatful. Thanks in advance

Make sure you flash the correct firmware for your model. What is SM-950u1 anyway?? You should also use the latest Odin 3.13.1 or higher. Odin lower than that is giving problems with Oreo firmware. Good luck. LJ

Thanks for your input, sm-n950u1 is the model number according to sam mobile site for the firmware. But found out that phone was still under manu. warranty after registering it on samsungs website. So i shipped it off yesterday so they can get to the bottom of it

Hey guys, my phone got totally stuck on a Samsung logo (neverending loop).
Yesterday I let my bro play an Angry Birds on my phone. After a while I took my phone back and to my surprise it wasn't responding. Mobile was turned on (connected to the charger) but all I could see was a black screen. I tried restarting my phone by removing battery but it didn't help at all. I got stuck at Cyanogen Mod logo everytime. Since I haven't updated my firmware in a while I decided to intstall the newest version of CM (KitKat 4.4.4 from novafusion.pl) using Odin app. After a successful installation my phone still didn't boot up, I was getting stuck on a blue CM logo. After this I wanted to wipe my cache/dalvik cache but I wasn't able to get into recovery mode (getting stuck on a TeamWin screen). Reinstalling TWRP and installing ClockWork recovery didn't have any effect. I wiped my phone using .tar file found on this forums, tried reinstalling my ROM recovery many times, tried installing param file (don't even know what's that) and resetting three button combination using Benzonat0r's mod. None of these things seemed to have any impact. I'm still not able to get into recovery neither boot my phone up - Samsung logo bootloop. What am I supposed to do to unbrick my phone?
On a side note my knowledge about Android phones is tiny so please consider this. Also forgive me my poor grammar, not a native English speaker here.

Download This rom "I8190 серв. укр.rar" from here
Unpack .rar and open Odin.
Select the goldenxx.pit to [PIT]
Select CODE_I8190XXAMA2_809600_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md 5 to [PDA]
Select CSC_QXE_I8190QXEAMA1_20130109.163004_REV00_user_lo w_ship.tar.md5 to [CSC]
Put your phone in download-mode and connect it to computer.
Hit [Start] when device is detected by Odin.
You will end up with a "La'Fleur" branded phone, but no worries!
Just go to download mode again and flash a custom recovery and after that a ROM of your choice.
The three button combo will still work!!
This is not my work, give my friend @tyson a thanks for that!
I tried installing stock recovery and ROM. After completed installation I finally managed to pass Samsung screen. I got to the something like Android installation screen and my phone suddenly shut down. Now it's totally bricked, I can't turn it on nor get into the download mode. Charging progress doesn't show up while phone is plugged in neither. Any help?

Hey dude, I wish I saw your reply earlier. If my phone wasn't bricked now I'd give it a shot.
Hello,
I have a GT-N7000 which I am only able to access via download mode. Recovery mode does not work at all.
Odin 3.09 runs the following successfully:
1. Flashing a stock rom: N7000JPLSB_N7000OJPLSB_N7000XXLSO_HOME.tar.md5
2. Flashing a pit file: Q1_20110914_16GB.pit
3. Flashing a safe kernel: PhilZ-cwm6-JPLSB-UAE-4.89.4.tar.md5
These steps however have not solved the problem.
I have read that I need to flash a bootloader, but I don't know how to do that.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

On a successful kernel flash, enter into recovery mode and flash raw kernel and its corresponding rom.
Unfortunately recovery does not work at all. The phone reboots when I attempt to enter recovery.

My phone has this thing where upon pressing the buttons for recovery, it will show the Samsung Galaxy Note screen twice before entering recovery. That means pressing the buttons until it finishes showing twice, or it will just reboots normally. Did you try it?
What I tried now was flashing the stock rom again. After Odin successfully flashed the rom, it went into a boot loop that lasted approximately 20 minutes, but I just let it loop without disturbing it. Eventually it stopped and switched itself off.
I tried to enter recovery and and it rebooted a few times as you mentioned, but eventually I now see the stock Recovery screen, but the Android is on his back with the red triangle on his chest.
I then performed a factory reset.
Phone reboots, I see the Samsung logo, I hear the jingle and then the phone switches off.
Edit:
Switch phone on: See message Android is upgrading. Reaches 33 of 73 apps and phone switches off.
Switch on again: Android is upgrading 1 of 41. Completes. Switches off.
Switch on again: See setup screen. Switches off.
Switch on again: Same thing.
Recovery still broken and can't setup phone as it switches itself off.

You need the stock recovery. Flash your rom in, reboot to stock recovery, then update with the corresponding Philz for your phone. If it works you should reboot and see philz recovery and your rom is unusable. Just flash raw kernel and any other rom after that
So all the random reboots were caused by a faulty battery.
I bought a new battery, followed steps 1,2 and 3 in my original post and my phone is working perfectly again.
My note 4 randomly restarted and it was on a bootloop on the note 4 screen
I reinstalled the stock t-mobile room via Odin and it started but as soon as it was on the lock screen it restarted again and continued the bootloop,I tried to reinstall the stock rom again but it won't get off the loop sometimes it shows a blue legend saying entering recovery
Please help me
never have that problem before, not sure

Factory reset in recovery, and try reoding the stock t-mobile ROM. make sure you're during the flashing correctly, if that doesn't work.. probably something wrong internally, would have to call and get a warranty exchange/fix.

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem.
Hi,
Some how I turned the FRP lock on and when I restarted my phone on the logo screen it said FRP lock is on and then nothing happened after that.
I googled around and people suggested to update the firmware using Smart Switch. Smart Switch completed its work 100%, but the my phone got stuck on logo screen and nothing happens. After more googling I found this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/sm-g920f-stuck-samsung-logo-5-1-1-update-t3150727
When I try flashing the phone using Odin with the instructions above, it says "Custom Binary(BOOT) Blocked By FRP Lock".
People please help me to resolve my issues:
1. FRP lock is on. How can I disable it?
2. Phone is stuck on logo screen.
Thank you!
Try the smart switch thing again and let it keep loading. can take up to 10 minutes the first time it loading.

Before I tried with Odin I had tried multiple times. Still the same issue.
Odin latest firmware and let it boot over 10 min.
Hey! I had the same problem recently but I was be able to recover my phone by, downloading kies 3 (not smart switch) So once that's down open it up and click the "tools tab' and you want to do a "firmware upgrade & installation" now enter your device info, you can get your SN and IMEI numbers by pressing and holding "volume down + home + power" then hit the home button. So use that information and put in kies. Then it will prompt you to boot to recovery but instead boot to download mode and start the process in kies so then just be patient, really patient and might take up to an hour. and good luck! Hope it helps!
I'm in the same situation. I've installed stock firmware with both odin/kies everything was successful, but on boot, it's just stuck on logo. FRP lock is on, but I know the user and pass.. it's a friends phone. How can I enter the account if the device doesn't even boot up... !? I've tried everything I could find on the internet.. nothing worked.. any new ideas? anyone..? thanks.
If a full restore was successful via kies then it should boot up as if it were brand new outta the box.
I feel the need to make this post as I have yet to find anyone else with the exact same issue as me, however here is the details:
I am running a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 SM-N950U from AT&T
Rooted with SamFAIL one month ago without any issues.
Context:
Yesterday when I turned on my phone for no obvious reason it just got stuck into a boot loop (the one where it stays on the Samsung logo forever. Did the obvious steps with no effect.
Afterwards, I tried to follow the SamFAIL root guide from the start to end just to see if it would fix it (I was desperate). Everything went fine, however, when it booted up and whenever it does boot up it starts black then it flashes the recovery mode screen for half a second (I'd post an image, but I am not allowed to, just search up, "recovery mode note 8" and look at the images with the blue background and android mascot), displays some white text on the black screen for perhaps a second, goes black and repeats this. I am able to enter download mode and upload mode, but whenever I try booting into the actual phone this happens.
Strange problem huh? Any hope for me, or do I have a brick now? It's been looping this process for the past 20 minutes now. For now, my plan is to try flashing the stock firmware with Odin. (My internet is slow so it will likely take all day for that file to download.
