Hello,
I have a GT-N7000 which I am only able to access via download mode. Recovery mode does not work at all.
Odin 3.09 runs the following successfully:
1. Flashing a stock rom: N7000JPLSB_N7000OJPLSB_N7000XXLSO_HOME.tar.md5
2. Flashing a pit file: Q1_20110914_16GB.pit
3. Flashing a safe kernel: PhilZ-cwm6-JPLSB-UAE-4.89.4.tar.md5
These steps however have not solved the problem.
I have read that I need to flash a bootloader, but I don't know how to do that.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

On a successful kernel flash, enter into recovery mode and flash raw kernel and its corresponding rom.
Unfortunately recovery does not work at all. The phone reboots when I attempt to enter recovery.

My phone has this thing where upon pressing the buttons for recovery, it will show the Samsung Galaxy Note screen twice before entering recovery. That means pressing the buttons until it finishes showing twice, or it will just reboots normally. Did you try it?
What I tried now was flashing the stock rom again. After Odin successfully flashed the rom, it went into a boot loop that lasted approximately 20 minutes, but I just let it loop without disturbing it. Eventually it stopped and switched itself off.
I tried to enter recovery and and it rebooted a few times as you mentioned, but eventually I now see the stock Recovery screen, but the Android is on his back with the red triangle on his chest.
I then performed a factory reset.
Phone reboots, I see the Samsung logo, I hear the jingle and then the phone switches off.
Edit:
Switch phone on: See message Android is upgrading. Reaches 33 of 73 apps and phone switches off.
Switch on again: Android is upgrading 1 of 41. Completes. Switches off.
Switch on again: See setup screen. Switches off.
Switch on again: Same thing.
Recovery still broken and can't setup phone as it switches itself off.

You need the stock recovery. Flash your rom in, reboot to stock recovery, then update with the corresponding Philz for your phone. If it works you should reboot and see philz recovery and your rom is unusable. Just flash raw kernel and any other rom after that
So all the random reboots were caused by a faulty battery.
I bought a new battery, followed steps 1,2 and 3 in my original post and my phone is working perfectly again.

Hey guys, my phone got totally stuck on a Samsung logo (neverending loop).
Yesterday I let my bro play an Angry Birds on my phone. After a while I took my phone back and to my surprise it wasn't responding. Mobile was turned on (connected to the charger) but all I could see was a black screen. I tried restarting my phone by removing battery but it didn't help at all. I got stuck at Cyanogen Mod logo everytime. Since I haven't updated my firmware in a while I decided to intstall the newest version of CM (KitKat 4.4.4 from novafusion.pl) using Odin app. After a successful installation my phone still didn't boot up, I was getting stuck on a blue CM logo. After this I wanted to wipe my cache/dalvik cache but I wasn't able to get into recovery mode (getting stuck on a TeamWin screen). Reinstalling TWRP and installing ClockWork recovery didn't have any effect. I wiped my phone using .tar file found on this forums, tried reinstalling my ROM recovery many times, tried installing param file (don't even know what's that) and resetting three button combination using Benzonat0r's mod. None of these things seemed to have any impact. I'm still not able to get into recovery neither boot my phone up - Samsung logo bootloop. What am I supposed to do to unbrick my phone?
On a side note my knowledge about Android phones is tiny so please consider this. Also forgive me my poor grammar, not a native English speaker here.

Download This rom "I8190 серв. укр.rar" from here
Unpack .rar and open Odin.
Select the goldenxx.pit to [PIT]
Select CODE_I8190XXAMA2_809600_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md 5 to [PDA]
Select CSC_QXE_I8190QXEAMA1_20130109.163004_REV00_user_lo w_ship.tar.md5 to [CSC]
Put your phone in download-mode and connect it to computer.
Hit [Start] when device is detected by Odin.
You will end up with a "La'Fleur" branded phone, but no worries!
Just go to download mode again and flash a custom recovery and after that a ROM of your choice.
The three button combo will still work!!
This is not my work, give my friend @tyson a thanks for that!
I tried installing stock recovery and ROM. After completed installation I finally managed to pass Samsung screen. I got to the something like Android installation screen and my phone suddenly shut down. Now it's totally bricked, I can't turn it on nor get into the download mode. Charging progress doesn't show up while phone is plugged in neither. Any help?

Hey dude, I wish I saw your reply earlier. If my phone wasn't bricked now I'd give it a shot.
I had already rooted my device about a week ago and today I wanted to flash a rom, but I need a recovery first. I had all of the files ready, but I noticed that when I booted into recovery mode it only flashed the green android guy with his front open for about a second and then shut off for about 4 seconds. The phone doesn't turn off, just the screen. So I rebooted and downloaded an app thinking it would allow me to boot straight into download mode, but it just created a boot into recovery cycle. Now I can't get into my phone. Any help would be appreciated

I had the same problem after root, the only fix that I could find was to make a full flash of the phone. You need to download the original firmware and flash via odin.
Hello everyone I have a problem with my Galaxy s5 G900A (AT&T) his booting but the screen is black but before that happens I did some manipulation on it I will give you the time line of what did happen and I hope that someone could have the answer to may issue (Sorry for my English)
1) My phone was running normally until one day where he turned off and was stuck in boot loop but after some hours he turned on and worked normally and that did happen a lot of time.
2) One day the same thing happened but this time it was really stuck in Boot Loop for days so I decided to flash a new ROM using Odin so I did download this ROM “G900AUCS4DPH3”
3) I flashed the ROM using Odin but that didn't change anything.
4) I tried to flash another ROM “G900AUCS4CPA2” a lollipop ROM after that the phone was still stuck on the boot loop but after some time he did boot but the screen was black so I tried to take off the battery and pushed the lock button for 1, 2 and 5 minutes but in vine that didn't change anything (note: when I tried to access the recovery mode the phone was rebooting but I could access the download mode and the screen was turning on so it wasn't a screen problem)
5) After this I tried to flash the same ROM but by enabling the flash boot loader option in Odin then the phone did run but the screen was black and the boot loop problem was gone and when I tried to access the download mode sometimes it was working but the screen was black and sometimes the phone was rebooting (I felt the vibration) so I decide to use 300K tool (it a software that put the phone in download mode just by plugging it to your computer).
6) After all this I tried a lot of other roms but the problem was steel the same.
7) I tried to flash the roms with a pit file but it didn't change anything.
So now the screen is always black but the is booting normally I don’t know what to do help me please.
List off roms that I tried:
Android 6: G900AUCS4DPH4
G900AUCS4DPH3
Android 5: G900AUCS4CPA2
Android 4: G900AUCU1ANCE
G900AUCU2AND3
Note: when I try to flash Android KitKat roms Odin shows me an error message.
Odin versions that I used:
Odin3 v3.12.3
Odin3 v3.09
Odin3 v3.07
Good afternoon folks, I'm having a very big problem. Yesterday I was using my phone listening to music, I then received a text message in a group text. I went to pull down the notification center but my touch screen wasn't responding. I thought it was a one off but tried to open my phone and nothing was responding to my touch. I then did a reset (vol dnw+power) which restarted the phone but still the touch screen was unresponsive. Reset phone again now here I am in the infinite boot loop. It starts to galaxy note 8 screen and stays for about 30 sec then goes to recovery mode but will lock up and restart this process over again. I've tried to manually boot into recovery mode but it doesn't work. I'm able to boot to download mode where I've tried flashing with stock firmware but after flashing is restart back to the boot loop. Note 8 hasn't been flashed with anything custom before so this thing is a big mystery for me. Any help would be greatful. Thanks in advance

Make sure you flash the correct firmware for your model. What is SM-950u1 anyway?? You should also use the latest Odin 3.13.1 or higher. Odin lower than that is giving problems with Oreo firmware. Good luck. LJ

Thanks for your input, sm-n950u1 is the model number according to sam mobile site for the firmware. But found out that phone was still under manu. warranty after registering it on samsungs website. So i shipped it off yesterday so they can get to the bottom of it
[SOLVED: Just downloaded latest version of Odin from Sammobile. What a relief!]
Hey guys, this is my first post so please forgive me for any mistakes.
My Note, unlocked SM-960U1, was stuck on June 1 security patch so I decided to flash to this month's firmware:
N960U1UEU2CSH2 for XAR
This got me stuck in a boot loop, which is now causing me to panic. I tried going to download mode and flashing it again but then another issued appeared:
it got stuck on a blue screen with the android and "erasing" I used HOME_CSC This isn't even supposed to erase anything!!!
I tried going on recovery mode but It didn't show up. I went to download mode then, and chose restart. That led me to the recovery mode and I chose restart again, and it showed me this:
#Reboot Recovery Cause is [[odin]RebootRecoveryAfterOdinDL]#
Support SINGLE-SKU
Block-Based OTA
Supported API: 3
# MANUAL MODE v1.0.0#
Rebooting...
That just froze and never rebooted! NO other commands work now. I am freaking out. The phone is hot also. Please someone help out!
Update
I can go on download mode now, but if I choose reset it sends me to the boot screen and then I see a dead android for a split second, then I'm in recovery mode. I can do nothing useful in there and restarting just freezes again

you might have your terminology backwards. There isnt a button in download mode to reset the phone, there is one in recovery tho.
Anyways, if you can get to download mode, youre likely gonna be just fine. Just download a fresh copy of your firmware and flash it with Odin with your phone in download mode
Battery Drained

I know it's been a year, but I recently experienced the issue. So this is for...someone else? lol
If you had a PASS on Odin and yet you stuck on boot loop, chances are your battery is drained, and it might not successfully boot to run configuration and deletion. Connect it to a power source, it might prompt it to the boot loop but do it regardless. After like 15-30 mins, you should see the battery charging indicator. You should be good!
