Unable to transfer files via bluetooth to a winmobile - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I discovered a peculiar problem with my i9000, I wanted to transfer an mp3 file to a winmo. When I tried to pair my i9000 with the winmo, it gets paired, but on the winmo, it shows connected & as services available, internet sharing & nothing else. Whereas on my i9000 it still shows not paired, (pair with the device). I am not able to send a file across.
Has anyone encountered this?
Can someone look into this & tell me how to solve this?
Thanks a lot.

Hello! Have you enabled "Receive all incoming beams" in Settings/Comms/Beam?
Thankyou very much, that was the problem. I thought beams were IR or something. One last question, i am now able to receive files but is there any way to browse the PDA via Bluetooth from my laptop? again it says, it cannot do this.
Navigation from your Laptop
Hi
You have to pair your BA with your Desktop installing the "OBEX File Transfer" service. So you would navigate in your PDA.

Contact transfer to HandsFree - how to?

Hello,
I am using my Diamond (standard ROM 1.93.479.3 WWE) with my car BT hands-free set (Nokia CK-15W).
To use it effectively, it would be nice to download Diamond contacts into Nokia in order to have contact names displayed. Unfortunately I cannot do it in any way...
After pairing both devices I got the invitation to transfer contact but it ended with the transfer error. Then I tried to do it manually with the same result.
I tried re-pairing, resetting both Diamond and Nokia (back to factory settings) and many more combinations but I didn't succeed. I even tried to send contacts to my HF by beam.
The interesting thing is that usually 2-3 tries end with the transfer error and the next one doesn't end at all! I mean the animated transfer icon stays at the display for a long time (3 hours was the max I waited) but the transfer never completes.
Another thing is that after several re-pairings my Diamond is seen by Nokia with the Owner Name - but previously was seen with its ID! That's a little strange.
Can anyone help me with this?
Can it be something connected with BT profiles? Nokia has only hands-free profile... Just in case I turned on any feature that can be connected to file transfer like BT file sharing but still no effect.

[Q] Car hands free - problems

Hi guys,
I am having problems with car BlueTooth hands free and Samsung Galaxy S:
With Eclair 2.1 it was working flawlesly, connected automaticlay after paired, I could make phonecals, receive phonecals, no quality issue, phonebook worked fine etc... The only problem was that once I did not swithced the BT on my SGS before starting to drive, for some security reasons the car was not searching for phones while driving, so I had to turn the BT in car off and on again and then it connected well. But overal problem free...
With latest 2.2 Froyo (i9000xfjp7) and also previous Froyo distributions (i tried JPA if I remember correctly), the phone can be paired, it connects to the car but after one phonecall it looses connection and works no more. The strange thing is, the BT icon on the phone shows brackets (like when connected) and also the car shows the phone is still connected. But phonecalls cannot be made via car HF and also cannot be received through it. Only by manualy accepting or dialing on the phone. And naturally the sound goes only via the phone, no HF.
The strange thing is, when I turn off the car and leave it, the phone says it is still connected to it, which is impossible.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

That is weird... When I switch back to Eclair, it works OK, back to Froyo, no HF after one phonecall...
I dont know how to work with ROMs, I managed to find out how to flash firmwares, I even handled many problems with Odin and its moods, incomplete flashes, etc... But I dont know how to use these custom ROMs...
Anyway, i would appreciate if someone told me how to resolve it without custom ROMs, as I plan to use offical Froyo when it becomes available, but with this issue, it is useless for me, as I travel a lot...
No one else?
I'm having a related problem.
I'm getting music stream cut outs (1 sec max) when streaming bluetooth to caraudio WHILE wifi on.
If i disable wifi, bluetoothaudio works fine. I know they share range bt/wifi, but this is unacceptable. They should negotiate. Everytime wifi scans, i get cutouts. Unusable. Only workaround is disabling wifi (and thats annoying because i have to be constantly activating/disabling it everytime i enter somewhere with wifi etc.
Using Docrom xxjpo v8 with voodoo.
Anyone has some software fix that makes wifi behave better when bluetooth musictream on?

Xperia Z1 Bluetooth connection problem

After getting the highly anticipated Z1 C6903, for the last few days, I have been enjoying the speed and flawless operation of the phone however, came across some connectivity issues and I m hoping its only my phone otherwise we have a bug in the latest firmware.
Let me get to it, I have been trying to make use of the Drag&Drop, where you just connect phone or computer via bluetooth and drag files into the connected device, very nice way of transferring files and pics but I haven't been able to transfer anything to my MacBook Pro though its connected via bluetooth.
I figured for the last few days, that the bluetooth connectivity keeps on dropping, I did however share images and videos with my TV, works fine but bluetooth has been the deal breaker for me.
Its funny that I can transfer files from my MacBook Pro to my Z1 but can't transfer anything from my phone to the computer. Seeing the bluetooth connectivity on my computer keeps on dropping to "not connected"
I would really appreciate if someone has come across similar problems and found resolution or if someone can help with resolving the issue, will be highly appreciated.

Rather than create a new thread, I will reply to this one as I am experiencing similar problems, hopefully someone has some suggestions.
My bluetooth keeps dropping after a while if I stop playing music and I am forced to reconnect multiple time. Weird thing is that when this happens, I am still connected and still can take calls on the bt device, but I have to either disconnect/reconnect for music or use the throw options a few times on the walkman app.
Is this the nature of the bluetooth or is there something else I can do to resolve this?
